*sigh*
Slow
Just so you know I'm only saying that because it appears that for each spell there is a counterspell
In this case slow is useless, couse as soon as its mine turne againg i would simple cast haste again.
In that case, haste my units, then if I start first, slow yours

The Conflux has another very cool thing besides the units and it is called a Magic University. It gives your hero the desired kinds of magic and saves some levels in the process.
Usually if you play correctly you cannot finish with "bad" secondary skills when playing Conflux.
Let's do not mention what does the grail ;-)

Wasnīt this thread about best town except the conflux? And still itīs mentioned here. But back to the topic, I like dungeon the most, mostly because of minotaurs, medusas and black dragons. The structure what gives you x2 spellpoints without needing to stay in castle for a night isnīt bad, though.

Castle, Rampart - Cool
Castle > Necropolis
Bets used Necropolis > Almost everything
Dungeon > almost everything
Rampart > Tower
Tower = Inferno (both suck)
Fortress < everything
Conflux - totally overmade, you cannot cast a mass spell, everybody is immunite to something... should be banned.
Dungeon vs Necropolis ?
Necropolis has Dknights, Vampires, and necromacy
Dungeon is Dungeon. Very strong and massive units, Level 6 sucks, but Necropolis level 2-3 suck too. Medusas + Eyes => no striking back. Harpies against Zombies. DKnights go against Minotaurs.
Destroy undead = Death Ripple
Animate Dead = Resurrection
Black Dragons > Bone Dragons
What is result? Eveybody dies, opponents cast elementals until no spell points left. Only non-living units survive:
Dungeon vs Necropolis - 0:0
Both heroes die.
In my opinion, Dungeon is the 'leader' of the towns, but not clear winner.

Another necromancy.
I don't think conflux should be banned. I think posting crap content should be banned.
But since it is not, why don't you create your own topics to post it in, instead of bringing topics from 10 years back to life?

That's great. You said this in no less than five other threads which were dug up from their graves in an untimely manner.
In all seriousness, why hasn't swinm been banned yet? It is clear that he is a troll trying to throw out bull, and that by itself is okay because it gets Kicferk worked up.
However, at this point, he has basically resorted to necrobumping several threads older than he is for no real good reason except for to grief others. He is spamming, likely for his own personal amusement. Does that not earn him a ban?

i personally don't like ramparant, why? well
CENTAUR CAPTAINS
the centaurs are ok i guess, they have a long move range
BATTLE DWARVES
the dwarves deflect spells and have a lot of hp and armor but are slow
GRAND ELFS
the archers, they have good damage, they shoot twice, but it is the only ranged unit of the ramparant, and it dies easily, if that happens you are forced to move your troops forward, making them take great damage
SILVER PEGASUS
the only advantage that they have it that they move fast and have a bit of good damage, but over all they have really low hp
DENDROID SOLDIER
a good defense unit, strong but slow, the only thing i see them good at is defending the archers, but that could go away fast since the archers will die in the first turns of a grand battle if the enemy hero is a good wizard
WAR UNICORN
i have nothing to comment on this fella
GOLD DRAGON
i don't like this guy, his spell imunity is a great disadvantage,
you can't use ressurection or bless on him, but the enemy can use an implosion him instead

It depends on the template. If the map is rich, no problem, pick Dungeon/Inferno and win, but otherwise Stronghold/Necropolis.

No. Versus AI, any Town is good. I played the search for clock of undead king. I have Necropolis Hero(Moander- main hero), but after geting 2 infernos, I just use devils to clean map. Moander didn't have a necromancy at start.
Moander skills:
Logistics
Navigation
Wisdom
Earth Magic
Fire Magic
Water Magic
Inteligence
Offense
The most problematic was Vokial, who get a Town Portal and get Dragons from Final Boss(Damacon). If you get all tomes, game become very easy. (Fly and DD). Also you can build a grail in 1 of 2 confluxes.

This should have a poll, I'd vote Necromancer. Undead for the win. I'll see your living and raise them as skeletons.

Fortress totally sucks. Not because of the units, only because of the terrain.
Your enemies can travel ~ 18 tiles / turn, while you can 12 or less.
This is about ~ 2/3.
So end of the first month enemy has travelled: 18*7*4=504 tiles. (very rough)
Fortress: 12*7*4=336 tiles.
This is a fact, playing with Fortress is quite hard in the early and middle game.

Wrong, the penalty is only if you carry no fortress creatures on you. Ok, is certainly a bit more penalizing than other factions (tower too experience this then stronghold in a less percentage) for first days, but you have your wiverns day two and this compensate the need for 30 gremlins or other crap stacks.

I always felt it was supposed to be defensively empowering. If one were to attack snowland's Tower or swamp's Fortress, the defenders could move much more freely than the attackers on the respective terrain.
Btw. isn't there something about a nomad on the hero will allow for unhindered movement in the desert despite carrying many different troops as well?

Yes but I think is a bug as I don't see its logic. Neutral creatures ignore terrain penalty but only if in first occupied slot. If you have lets say serpent flie 1st slot then enchanters 2nd slot and must travel on swamp, you will suffer penalty. Inverse their slot and now penalty is gone.
Then nomads are handled differently on sand, no matter their position. They remove penalty for all troops.
