Angelo was Wrong Tigris, it dont matter about whos place it is with, you just didnt understand the point of why there was even a flame war.

Is it just me or is Tavern much less active as of late?
I remember when Tavern used to be super active. I mean like the forum main page usually all had posts in the past 24 hours on a consistant basis. Though I admit that Tavern goes through phases of activity and inactivity, this is far more inactive than it's been in the past. It's rather uncharacteristic.

well,
When I joined the discussions in the Tavern, it was even less active... I think due in huge part to you and Léo, it is getting more active. It's not that active as you say, but we are getting there. I remember some times coming online and seeing no new posts!

I agree that posts arent as frequent as they once were, it also seems that we'll have bursts when one thread is particularly "hot" and will have tons of posts per day, but the rest of the forum is left in limbo.
What we need to see again, is multiple posts in multiple threads! That would be cool
Now how do we get that to happen? I might remind people that with every post they make, they have improved their chances that they may have said something a mod feels is QP worthy
For those of you who don't care about stars, but just post for fun - all I can say is, Post more! You'll have even more fun!

Question about +qps:
My fiction thread, first post, got a qp. The story is currently stuck (in my head), and I was thinking of shifting the point of view from third to first person. However, this would require massive edits, including on the qp'd post. The post that resulted would not, in essence, be the post that got the qp. In this case, the content would be more or less the same, but I don't want to set nasty precedents by editing qp'd posts. What is the policy about editing qp'd posts? Should I just leave the current story parts as is and continue in a different point of view?

I have edited Qp'ed posts many times(no surprise I'm sure). I have found that nothing affects a qp count once it is given; not even if you delete it; which I have done. I deleted my first qp ever awarded in my protest to the ToH side of Heroes Community. The post was deleted but my qp-count remains the same. When you go to check where all my qp's are, the post is deleted but the count remains the same. Editing qp'ed posts is something I've been doing for a long time now.

Khaelo, since I gave you the QP I'll answer.
You didn't just get the QP for your opening post, but the continued excellence of the story.
I think it's a good story - but it IS yours, and as the writer I don't think you should be bound to v1.0 because of a little red star.
Go ahead and edit, I doubt the quality will drop
Edit: In other news - RSF I know you have a wish to make Tavern more fun, and yes we've all noticed a bit of a drop-off in activity. But I've noticed it in more than one forum as well.
Come on man, you been here for longer than I have - you know the board'll go quiet and then it'll kinda explode for a while and go quiet again.
Yeah it'd be great if the place was always buzzing, but as a Mod I like these quiet periods so I can do some thread-cleaning and stuff without missing what's going on.
Plus I'm sure everyone's sick of hearing it, and I'm sick of saying the same old clichéd stock answer:
If you want the place to be active then the first step starts with you.
You did a great job with the MYT thread, then you handed it to Leo. Now he's doing a great job on it, but you're the same as every member. Sometimes you're on the net more than other times.
Personally I think everyones coincidentally taken a personal time-out at the same time and we'll back in business as usual soon.

Seriously though, one thing that I do think would be nice to see is some more input about the Mark Your Territory thread. It seems to me that this thread is a fun way to get a lot of people involved, and it really has limitless possibilities! I think it would probably be really helpful to Leo and the gang running it now to have ideas from members as to what they'd like to see

My Recomendation
I've noticed that some of TheUltimateMale's threads have been moved to the Wastelands. I highly disagree with this. I don't think some people realize the importance/significance of TheUltimateMale poster's influence and affect on the community. He is nothing short of our very own Heroes Community's - "Dear Abby".
First I recomend all of his Wasteland threads be moved to the Tavern. Then I ask that a thread be made giving links to all of his threads. Then please sticky that thread in the Tavern so that all members have readily available access to his wit. Let us please try not to think of him as whoever his alternate-poster-identity was but instead think of him as the best thing that has ever happened to the Tavern. I ask that we please try to preserve his threads thus preserving all of his work for posterity and the Heroes Community Hall of Fame as one of the best posters in HC history.

I would like to see the "Mighty Alliance" stickyness removed.
In order to make room at the top of the 1st page in the Tavern, I suggest that the "Mighty Alliance" (noob and vet tourney) have its stickyness removed. This should not only be done to make room, but more importantly, because no one has even played a single match yet!
I wouldn't have said anything if it had moved over to the top of page #2 and then #3, but it was revived and is back on page #1. I have no problem with it being revived as a regular Thread, but not as a sticky one.
