You all should know by now when I am angry. That wasn't really angry at all, and you would've known if I was. While I can understand your point, my post was not rude or anything. Also still can't see why it deserved a penalty. I got a warning from Angelito which I ultimately accepted in the end but then get a penalty for replying to Valkyrica because he implied I was ugly. It doesn't make any sense.

At the very least, valwhatever should have gotten a warning for provocation.

William: Yeah, maybe that other guy should have been penalized, but I don't think you can say "You should all know..." because maybe we don't. And if not we, then maybe some new guy, or some one active in other places of HC, doesn't.
But yeah, you're considered the bad guy around here. Mostly because your extreme opinions (which isn't true) and your strong language.
"Lady Gaga isn't good at all." and "Lady Gaga sucks ******* **** balls!" really do make a difference, though it has the same meaning. Personally I don't care about the differance, but others do.
Just to finish with agreement: Yep, you did the same thing and Valkyrie started it.

@William - I think you need to stop swinging, I can see that you're pretty frustrated but sometimes its best to just shrug say "whatever" and go about your way. Obviously you're not having much fun with the fighting, so why let it even get to you?

Regarding the smart**** comment...
In my opinion, it wasn't so much an outburst of anger, but it still bordered on an insult. Sure, it's not the most direct insult imaginable (as in calling someone an idiot, or worse), but why else would someone say it? Take, for example, the common sarcastic retort:
"Alright, genius, if you're so smart..."?
Taken literally, it basically questions the person's intelligence. Whether William really intended to come over like that, I don't know, but lo and behold...that's the subtlety of language. You can't just speak your mind without expecting some consequences. Setting boundaries for yourself and showing some personal restraint can really make a difference.
Was calling someone a smart**** technically an insult? Arguably so, but moreover, it certainly detracted from HC's atmosphere of friendly, civil discussion. After all, how can two or more people engage in a debate without first respecting each other?
I found the whole issue with the Eurovision thread very silly because the topic was so subjective. The argument over such and such artist was fruitless since it's largely a matter taste. Regardless of what anyone said for/against whichever artist, it's not as if somebody's going to walk away with a radically different perspective. Differences in opinion will persist, no matter how fervently you defend your own musical taste whilst challenging someone else's. I mean, you could argue about it, but it'd serve little purpose and also run the risk of turning the discussion sour (as it did).

Having had a while to think, I still do disagree with Elvin's penalty towards myself, but I guess that doesn't matter in the long run of things as I'll hardly ever be seen here in a month or so, but that's not the point.
Smartarse most certainly did detract from the friendly atmosphere that was present in that thread. I do understand that what I type may seem aggressive but I do not like to see it as that. I like to see it as passionate about what I'm writing. If I believe in something then I'm going to write about it with passion because, obviously, it's something I'm quite strong about. Main example: Music discussion. I can identify very well with music and I'd like to say that I know what I'm talking about and while it may seem I am aggressive, in reality I'm really not. That is the annoying thing with text though, because a person can interpret what people say as being too aggressive or not aggressive at all. I can tell you that my replies in the Eurovision thread were not aggressive. Perhaps the smartarse comment was slightly aggressive, more annoyed I'd say, but the comment directed at Valkyrica wasn't aggressive at all. The very least, I could have perhaps had a warning for that or a penalty if Valky had requested one for me if he had taken offence at it.
This whole issue, partly my fault, was blown way out of proportion. I do think that it could have been discussed before just handing it out. I think if Elvin had replied in a calm manner as Pandora had replied to then I wouldn't have got more annoyed as I was and could have discussed in a civil way, as I am now. This whole issue was a massive misinterpretation and even though nothing will get reversed now, I just want to say that I didn't mean to insult Valky in any way. If he had of taken offence then he could have said something and then the penalty should have been given if he had taken offence. I think if a comment is posted towards someone and only THEY take offence at it, then penalty should be 'awarded', because I do fail to see how a penalty can be given if it doesn't offend anybody else, you know?
To the point I had made before though, and I do wish to address this again, but it is to do with my 'reputation' here as the bad guy. It is true that if somebody has a bad reputation, then any little thing he/she does is going to be dealt with more harshly than if someone like, for example, Guitarguy did it. I just feel a little bit like that here. Anything I do seems to be taken worse than if someone else had of said the exact same thing, just based upon the way that I have replied to things before and the way I have acted before. It's a bad thing and I do wish that people just try not to think about that in regards with me and try not take things that I say too seriously and not take offence at everything I say and do.
I do realise that I have got a way to go on becoming the perfect member here, not as if that's possible or anything, but I do wish to improve the way that others see me. For your information, and I know that is in text, but in reality, 80% of the time I am usually relaxed and not really angry or annoyed or anything. I realise after that what I said does sound a bit aggressive but I don't mean anything by it. I guess people don't really realise that but I am just getting that across to you all now. I'm not really a bad guy but I do think a lot of you misinterpret what I say and take things that I say a bit too seriously and take offence when there's nothing to be offended by.

So why should valk.. recieve a penalty then?
