No,actually if you do deamon farming,it aint a downgrade,of course if u want to farm ur cogs as daemons,its not worth it.

Never guessed... I know you can cast it on any hex, but it is good to attract troops by a dragons and then blast.

So, the answer is: BERSERK lol (it's an area spell). Status line: "Cast Berserk on Black Knights". Even at basic level (90% sure) for mana waste (if hate Wraiths).
I don't sure it was a good Q...
Unicorn's blind is a generic basic blind spell. But Poison isn't. It can be only cured.
Petrify/Stone Gaze is a spell, can be Dispelled. Level?
Dendroid Roots cannot be cured.
Enchanters don't attack with Magic Arrow.

I think you did, because you can cast fire shield right?
Ok if you say that, tell me why efreet sultan's fire shield affect to the magic elementals??? if supposed magic elementals are inmune to all magic spells...
the factor of you can cast or no cast that spell is not a factor to say if is a spell or not...
Paralize, blind, stone, and this things are spells

Okay Crusader,its simple as that:
Some units have specail abilities like blind,poison,paralize,fire breathe,fire shield etc
Some of thema are magic abilities,thus are treated like magic abilities:the unicorns blind does not affect troglodites,who are immune to blind spell,black knights curse does not affect dragons,who are immune to spells!
Other abilities are not magic,and thus are not treated like magic!The efreeti fire shield is fire based,not magical,it affects Black Dragons and Magic elementals,because the are immune to magic,but not fire,while it does not affect fire elementals and phoenixi,who are not immune to magic,but fire!Another example:the magogs fireball affects all units,since its not considered neither magic,nor fire based ability.
Now,is there anything u don't understad?

The only exception of the rule that I can think of is:

Yes, but the question was "ONLY colour and NOT appearence". The zombie changes its looks. It loses hair and the head becomes rounder.
And I just noticed that I forgot the Mummy/Royal Mummy

Troglodyte, Imp, Skeleton, Gremlin (not sure), Air Elemental, Lizardman, Gog, Walking Dead, Stone Gargoyle, Water Elemental, Beholder, Serpent Fly, Wight, Stone Golem, Mummy, Fire Elemental, Medusa (arguable, are snakes hair?), Basilisk, Vampire, Earth Elemental, Gorgon, Pit Fiend, Lich, Dendroid, Psychic Elemental, Wyvern, Efreet, Dark Knight, Red Dragon, Hydra, Bone Dragon, Green Dragon, Fearie Dragon, Crystal Dragon, Rust Dragon, Azure Dragon.
I think that was all, assuming that the Castle creatures have hair under those helmets.
