The project should be finished for people that want it. However, adding sci-fi to HoMM is unrealistic. Even their low-level creatures would, in "real life" be able to kill the strongest level 7's.

yeah..so they should give them a big attack but a low defense

What I mean is, the creatures themselves. The battles are disbelievable, for it isn't possible for a pikeman to kill someone with a gun.

i don't see why people are still questioning this mod like this. the answer is plain and simple. if you don't like the town just don't download it.

I'm not questioning the mod, it's a good idea for people who want to use the Forge Town. I'm simply questioning the effects on the "realism" of the game. Sci-fi and Fantasy generally don't mix well. Again, mod is a great idea for those who want it.

If realism was put in the game, than dragons would kill much more peasants... Firewall wouldn't be passable... and all of these fantasy creatures wouldn't be there.... So games can't all rely on realism

Besides a lot of fantasy universes are technically Science fantasy, the two don't necessarily not go together. Again you can look at these as ancient technology, laser guns would not necessarily shoot that fast and goblins wouldn't be able to manufacture stuff like bullets for an AK47 soi they are forced to use old blasters and stuff.
Similarly naga tanks and stuff- they could well be that the power source for tanks was running out so they have to borrow from the lifeforce of nagas etc.
One thing that would be great for this town would be high attack but all tanks and stuff have lightning vulnerability.

because i'm bored about the Stronghold goblins...i would choose the Forge goblins..any new or old faction, town , race or wuteva is welcome by me...

It's been no less than a month since anybody posted here. Personally I think the Forge is a great idea, if completely alien to the Heroes atmosphere, but I'd love to see it in game. I think the old story for Armageddon's Blade would have ruled (especially since it featured Archibald Ironfist, one of my favourite villains) so I'd hate to see the project dead. So, is there any news at all?
