hey, Vlaad, with the next one, could you make it a little less...open
eg, with the puzzle we just had, make it that there is a choice with the obelisk, make it that we have a choice of fly, water walk and summon boat. or that we can pick 2 skills, out of navigation, water magic and scouting, to be at advanced level.
something like that so we dont have hundreds of avenues, with all but 3 having a cookie at the end

That would be really great in therms of easyness but not so great in therms of mystery. I'd like the next puzzle to be just like this one, just because it makes you think about all the possibilites.

Good points, Lord_Pc, but I have to agree with Gom here. In fact, the next one is gonna be even harder... in order to keep you guys occupied for a week!
I'm posting the puzzle tomorrow night.

This week's puzzle!
What happened to Cuthbert the Forgetful One?
Cuthbert the Cleric had always dreamed of greater glory.
He wanted to prove himself so much, that he attacked a neutral stack of a few Black Dragons on day 1 (his stats were 1,0,2,2). He hoped his Weakness spell would do, but - needless to say - he lost all his troops.
Other heroes in the local Tavern laughed at Cuthbert, saying that some warlock must have cast Forgetfulness on him. You can imagine how happy old cleric was when the king hired him again!
However, he was not sent to battle; instead, he got several Imps, a ship and a task to flag a very important mine on a distant island. Cuthbert sailed for days... When he finally reached the coast, someone summoned away his boat! Poor old Cuthbert... He completed his quest, but realized that he had played his role.
The only spells he knew were starting Weakness and Bless, which he learned from the shrine on the island. He was trapped.
Then one day he visited a strange skull nearby and saw something that changed his destiny... Later even Fate intervened!
Finally, when the local seer offered him a mighty army of Devils if he defeated the Phoenixes (which were terrorizing the whole island), he decided to stay and prove to his king that he was a great hero after all.
Nobody saw him after that.
What happened to him?

He could pay the the living skull to get the angel wings, but I'll need some sleep before trying to think more .
...Questions... :X
Are the efreet sultans in a mood for a fight? How many phoenixes are there?
Oh, and I've never seen that bubbly pot before, and it made me curious: tried to put it on a map and use it in the game... nothing happened. What does it do :c?

Yes, but it is irrelevant.
Quote: How many phoenixes are there?
Does it matter? Let's say a few. These were in the mood for a fight!

If I tell you, I'll have to kill you.

He getted to living skull, getted Hourglass of asmodeus and used it when fightning with someone... Someone like monsters from that dwelling... So, when he hadn't that much spell power to sacrifice after summoning Asmodeus, he was attacked by devils... And... He lost!

A good one, but the only available artifacts for the puzzle would be those that he could get in the picture... So?
Quote: Someone like monsters from that dwelling...
There's no dwelling in the picture.
Quote: So, when he hadn't that much spell power to sacrifice after summoning Asmodeus, he was attacked by devils... And... He lost!
I must say this part is correct! (although incomplete )

And...?
And.. I got cought in something and couldn't write anymore. So, here I go again:
For first I must tell you that I'll make my guesses without knowing two things: what the pot does and the building on the right of the Emerald Tower.
He got to the Living Skull who gave him the Angel Wings.
After that he went to the seer, who gave him the quest of defeting the Phoenixes, visited the Shrine again and with the help of 1 mithril changed the spell to summon boat.
Then he went for the sea, cast summon boat and went tohelp the Shipwreck Survivor who gave him the Hourglass of Asmodeus.
After that, thinking that he was king of the world he went and attacked the Phoenixes 2 times (and was defeated in both occasions).
After the second defeat, Asmodeus took the Hourglass, and sent 3 Devils, to defeat Cuthbert for good.

EXCELLENT! (as usual! LOL )
Just tell me where he got 1 mithril and the cookie is yours...
