Best Seventh Level Creature...
What is your favorite 7th level creature?
7th heaven its Archangel all the way. Mobility, damage, and just about the best special in the game makes archangels the battlefeild champion. Use two or more stacks of Archangels when possible to protect each other.

Black Dragons. 300 HP and magic immunity make these things killers. If I Implode your Titans with my 10-SP Warlock with Expert Earth Magic, suddenly the magic immunity looks pretty big, eh?

Titan, you call yourself titan but you agree that black dragon-implode-titan thing ? Gee......
Just kidding. 
Well, lv7 is maybe the lv with most disputes, ooop, should I say ¡§discussion¡¨.
My favorite lv7 is definitely titan. But I have to agree with Oldtimer that AA is the best lv7.
It is interesting to see that in 1-on-1 fight,
AA may win everything except ancient behemoth.
Then AB will lose to titan.
But titan will again lose to AA, blackie and maybe gold dragon........
But blackie and gold dragon will find it difficult to win over AA and AB.
Arch devil is OK.
Phoenix is great if we consider its weekly production.
As for ghostie and hydra......, I won¡¦t say suck, but I have to say......¡¨poor¡¨.

Archangels go first...but Blacks are immune to all spells...I'll say angels in most games, but not always.

Archangel
Sure, it has no magic protection, but you can clone, prayer, haste, and do so much more to angels. This is very benificial. Magic Resistance is a double edged sword. No benefits, no losses. Dragons are cool, but being cool won't make you the best!

I am going to way but have to post something to keep these topics alive little longer...
My opinion is clear...
Only barrier between Archangel and victory is money.
If you got the bucks your opponents will end up being sitting ducks.

I cal myself titans because the titans r 1 off my fav. creatures  and they look very c l in HoMM II
but the black dragon i find the best lv 7 creature because of that magic imunity
and the AA r strong 2 but i dont like them very much

I also belive that the best 7 lev troop is the archangel. However there are some games in which Blacks will go much better than Archangels but, the general picutre shows clearly that the Angels rule. I also like Titans and Gold Dragons - powerful troops with which you can do considerable damage to your enemy.
Also Arch Devil is not bad at all. If u put them one on one with all the other lvl 7 troops , in equal numbers, they will be beaten ONLY by Behemoths and , of course, Archangels. However if the Arch Devil waits he can defeat the ancient behemoth also. Too bad for their low HPs though.
Just a few thoughts

Interested to see that when you finish a map and get
high score, the rank of score runs like this:
Archangel
Golden dragon
Black dragon
Titan
.................I forget the remaining ranks (maybe I got that archangel ranking too often )
Anyone knows the ranking of score ?
It may reflect the "official" opinion of which creature is the best.

Well, ArchAngels were considered a cheat long time ago
Situation was corrected a bit after 3 gems were added to their cost in SOD (and maybe AB, don't remember correctly).
Anyway, if goes for favourite ones - Black Dragon rule... You see, there are LOTS of direct-damage spells like Implosion and Armageddon, lots of Blinds, Slows and such... So after first turn your all-powerful Archangel turns to slow crawling thingie. And you'll have to Cure him instead of doing some damage to opponent's troops... and so on...

The best - Archangel (the best special, best attack/defense, 2nd best speed, great damage)
Great - Black and Gold Dragon (both tough, fast, and have immunity to all/most magic - but neither can be Resurrected), Titan (tough range troop, won't go Berserk or get Hypnotized), Ancient Behemoth (AA defense 30? Not against this guy! Plus good damage and tied for best health)
Worthwhile - Phoenix (half the cost of an Archdevil and almost an even match for it), Ghost Dragon (one heck of a special when it kicks in)
Bad - Chaos Hydra (expensive for its abilities and quite slow)
The worst - Archdevil (way too expensive for its abilities), Giant (if not upgraded this guy's mediocre)

Archangel is by far the best level 7 Creature in the game. No other level 7 creature of a similar quanity dare stand in their way

I think that the best creature would be AAngel and Black Dragon exequo. If no spells allowed, AAngel wins easily. But put in those devastating spells in... Even if both heroes have implosion, only the one with the dragon will make use of it.
