The Racial Expert Skill I Like:
1. Nature's Luck, because you can smash of any enemies this Luck God-Like skill . This make your army much, much stronger.
2. Absolute Protection, aww man, nature's luck can't affect this. Normal attacks always unlucky. This make your creatures have God-Like toughness.
3. Howl of Terror. OMG, this Banshee Howl modifier make dampens enemy morale by -6. This make your enemies scary as little rats.
4. Arcane Omnisciense, if you meet enemy with strong spells, after the battle, it will be add in your spellbook in expert level. THIS is make the game is like piece of cake.
5. Urgash Call. This skill make your Gating instant. Lots of reinforcements arrive!

Are Storm Wind and Wall of Fog active or passive?
Some abilities say "The hero calls upon". Does that mean you have to cast them like an ability like Benediction and Mark of the Wizard?
Or are they always active like Fire Resistance and Elven Luck?

An ability like Storm-Wind would be "active" I would think. It's a bonus your hero acquires and beings to the battlefield...correct? It affects the enemy flyers just like any artifact the Hero has equipped.

And thats why these are passive skills
active = you have to activate them first
passive = you just need the perk/skill/whatever to benefit from it
@Campaigner
They are both passive, enemy creatures allways have the init/speed/dam penalties when you have one of those perks

Hmmm...NOT having to do something would make it already "active" to me... but...AOK

Hi I have a question regarding warlock's elemental chains. In manual it says that each level of irresistable magic increases dmg of elemental chains by 10% (p.278) giving us up to 50% dmg increase from elemental chains with pendant of mastery (gaining ultimate skill) and altar of elements in town which gives us another 10% (if You have one town, the effect is cumulative), but description of irresistable magic mentions nothing about it. How is it then? Another thing said in manual is that runeforce set doubles warlock's dmg from elemental chains (p.202). If it's true doesn't it work like rage of elements?? Doesn't it make elemental chains ability very VERY usefull?? I personally never really cared about it since I thought it's rather poor special.

Eureka!
Yep, the racial is nuts. If you have 50% base elemental chain, you get another 50% from the set and another 50% from the Rage of Elements. So 150% - that means when you hit with 1000 dmg, your elemental chain will provide an additional 1500.
I might be wrong on the calculus a bit though, cuz It might work differently than I imagine, but if not then there ya have it.

hmm with the use of empowered spells this can be incredably powerfull, but why the description of irresistable magic doesn't mention such IMPORTANT piece of information which in my case might lead to changing my strategies?? Sorry but I'm confused a little bit and don't know now whom to trust. The description in the game or the manual created by fans.

That is why "ACTIVATED" term would be more accurate since active means it is already working.

Whom to trust? "Manual created by fans" for sure.
The studio has nothing to do with the game anymore. No more patches, fixes, etc.
Only the fans keep updating it.

My understanding is the Fan's "light" is the most accurate.

but You are forgetting that whole manual is based on data PROVIDED by UBISOFT DEVELOPERS. It's not like fans have stripped the game to a single algorithm and analised it but they got all data from the makers of the game. But that is irrelevant now cause I have found confirmation on other websites that fan manual is correct and the description of the skill is incomplete.

careful there; not all data listed from fans went this route, some, i.e. the scripting guide, was created after writing "successful" scripts and recording what worked and not what had been provided.

That's for 1.0, you'd need the 3.1 skillwheel for that. None of that applies for hof or tote.
