Inferno
- Advantages
Fast Lvl7 without retaliation can win fights that other Lvl7 cant. Pit Lords can summon Demons PERMANENTLY, which can lead to a huge Demon Power Stack. Efreets on day 3 give u enough speed and hitting power to clean the map. The built up give u a complete line up of good hitters in the Endfight + two fast high Level flyers.
- Disadvantages
Starting armie is too vulnerable for shooters, Archdevils die too fast in the Endfight + Imps too fast in the beginning, Archdevils dont have enough muscles. Starting army can be totally destroyed if wandering army gets 2 times morale. Only one average shooter. No Resistances and only one Immunity. No creature specials that are worth in the endfight.
- Best creature(s), with explanation why, e.g tactical usefullness
- Archdevils to clean the map.
- Demons when powerstack is there for the endfight.
- Pit Lords summon Demons and are durable hitters in the endfight.
- Worst creature(s), with explanation why, e.g too low stats..
- Imps = die.
- Gogs = average low level shooter, not enough growth.
- Cerberi could be a real threat if built earlier, again not enough growth.
- Special buildings
Nothing worth to mention.
- Building order (good, too slow....etc..)
see above.
- Hero classes (donīt refer these classes ONLY to this specific town, but perhaps they are more usefull with other towns)
Demoniacs are one of the best classes. Very nice primary and secondary skilling (log, off, earth). Unfortunately not so effective specials and cant sacrifice arts, so its 8 out of 10.
Of course Pyrre is to mention here, log as starting skill and artillery special plus a balista on her back, gives u a nice head start. Still she loses her special if the balista is destroyed in the endfight.
Heretics are one of the worsed hero classes at all. Bad primary and secondary skilling, no good specials plus no sacrificing of arts. 1 out of 10. Never take them.
Zydar is to mention here. Armaggedon plus Sorcery special can be a nice surprise and a sure win. If u take him never show him in tavern.
- Good / Bad on what kind of maps
Should be playable on any maps and difficulty. Hard to play as effective Demon Herding needs some training. Dont play that town without it.
- OWN subjective rank in a townranking, from 1st (best) to 9th (worst)
Inferno is place 4 with Tower after Conflux, Necro and Castle on my list. Although there are no noteable differences between rank 3 and 9.

heres my spin on unit value from 1 to 10
1. imps 1 they just plain suck
2. gogs 3 mass blast can end up doing more harm than good
3 cerebri 8 good speed lots of damage multi attack bad news is if 2 builds to start you gotta opt for devils week1
4. demons 7 good power slow no special but can be farmed using pit lords
5. pit fiends 7 good hps good special (demon farming)
6. efreet 7 good speed average special fire immune useful for armageddon somewhat low hps
7 devils 4 low hps very good speed dont fare well against most other 7th

INFERNO
- Advantages
Complete 5 level of Mage Guild is one of Key to Victory. Possibility to get Town Portal makes this town good for used in almost all situations.
- Disadvantages
Only one shooter that can harm friendly units. Sometimes we have to wait if there is our units near the target. It gives good chance to enemy to retreat after cast mass damage spell like armageddon.
Expensive level 7 creature and its dwelling (more expensive than Gold and Black Dragon) with only 200 life points. Easy to be killed with spells. Some rumour says that if we have Arch Devil in our troops, we can't retreat or surrender bcoz of the great honour of Arch Devil. But I've not proven it yet.
- Best creature
1. Cerberus : over average speed with 3 headed attack and can't be retaliated. just cast teleport and move it near the shooter. 3 of the enemy will get great damage, can't retaliate and the shooter will suffer melee penalty.
2. Efreet Sultan : Extreme High speed with massive damage plus Fire Shield. Combined with Counterstrike, then movwe to enemy's area, the enemies will attack it by group. and they'll get retaliated more than twice plus by Fire Shield. Then Cast Rescurrection for each turn.
- Worst creature
The Magogs as I explained in Disadvantages.
not Familiar coz it is useful since their Manna Absorber ability and low price. They can be used as shooter target of the enemy.
- Special buildings
The Castle Gate is very useful to replace Town Portal (of course we must have more than 1 Inferno Town). It also has 2 Additional Growth Dwellings. It is good as alternative in the Strength of the army since Infernal army are only have average strength. Quantity as alternative to Quality. The Order of Fire and Brimstone is not quite important.
- Building order : The prerequesities are easy to be completed. Easy to Build Stronger and Stronger.
- Hero classes : Many Heroes with Great speciality like Fireball and Inferno. Good at early combat. Their achievement in Primary skills when up one level is balanced too.
- Good on most kind of maps. The low price and high speed of Efreet make us strong enough to fight against shooter monsters.
-Bad on archipelago maps since it doesn't have shipyard.
Combat Strategy :
Combination of two high level creatures with extreme speed maked this town to attack first against most town except Castle and Conflux.
Against most towns, just cast Prayer or Haste. Attack the enely level 7 with Arch Devil followed by Efreet Sultan and Cerberus. The level 7 will take 3 great damage and can only retaliated against once plus by fire shiled. Move the Horned Demon and Pit Lord to the shooter. Then the Magog attack the area without friendly units. Use Familiar as a target of enemy shooter by move them to the area where enemy can shoot them w.o penalty. then rescurrect every round.
Against Castle or Conflux, if their level 7 attacks, Attack the level 7 by group. If the enemy wait, just use the strategy against most towns.
Compared by other towns, Inferno is in number 6 after Dungeon, Necro, Castle, Conflux, and Rampart.

Inferno is a bad town, so lets start from the bad things.
Disadvantages:
Not many special abilities, weak biginner creatures, more attack then defence making you vulnerable to fast creatures. Archdevils are hard to get cause' you'll need plenty of mercury. Not only that, but despite their high skills (28 26) they have little damage (only 30 - 40), little HP (only 200...) and because of their ability for teleportation and great speed they are vulnerable to swarming by enemies and bieng left alone to wait for the others. Also town has only 1 shoote, and it can be a double edged sword cause of the area effect that can hurt you as much as the enemy. Pitlords are expensive and don't have a large growth rate.
Advantages:
Archdevils have great speed and decrease the luck of foes. Pit Lords can summon Demons and are very strong themselves. Demons are tough and can stand up to much stronger creatures. Efreti are immune to fire and have fire shield, and are flying. Good town for "hit and run" tactic.
Creatures:
Imps are no more then cannon fodder, as they are fast but horribly weak. Mana leech is nothing. Gogs aren't to bad, but are only level 2, which would be OK if there was another shooter in town, but there isn't. Magogs can be dangerous to your enemy, but also to you as I have said before. Cerberi are good only for a spearhead attack and for finishing weak stacks off, as their attack skill is high, but defence skill is low. 3 head attack is nice, though. Horned Demons are powerfull and endurant. Among the best creatures of the town. Can stand up to many stronger creaturs, and due to the Pit lord's summoning abillity can be amassed on the battlefield. Pit lords are mighty. As I see it they are the best creatures of this town. Although a bit expensive (750 gold each I think), they are worth every penny of their price. They have skills of 13 13, do plenty of damage, have good health and can summon Demons. Very, very usefull creatures.
Efreti are strong, among the top creatures of the 6th level. Good skills, fire shield (which can play a crucial role in end game battkes), speed and fire immunity, and it hates genies. Devils are fast, can teleport nad lower the enemy's luck. The Archdevils have no retaliation which is good. But despite their high skills (28 26), speed and teleportation ability the can only do 30 - 40 damage and have 200 HP. THAT IS WEAK FOR 7TH LEVEL. If you teleport Archdevils into the enemy ranks say goodbuy to your Archdevils.
Buildings:
Typical slow and depandened building order. A regular skill boosting "order of fire" (naturaly, boost attack), powerfull magic guild with many fire spells like sacrifice and sometimes armageddon! For some strange reason this town has the ammo cart. Why? onlt 1 shooter! no need for ammo cart! Gates are cool and very usefull. If you can afford to lose 10,000 gold build the gates. They are vital for moving heroes, troops and artifacts between towns. Very usefull if towns are far away from each other, like one border town and an "HQ" town at the safe rear.
Heroes:
Pyrre is a good one to start with cause' she has the balista which can be usefull as a shooter for the early game. Zydar is very usefull for the later game as armageddon with expert Sorcery is a killer combo (literaly).
Demoniac is a good class. Has nice primary and secondary skills (like earth magic). Heretics are one of the worse classes (interesting, having one of the best classes in the same town with one of the worse classes, that's balance alrigt!). They just have low stats and lousy skills.
Final rank: 6th. don't like evil towns period.

Inferno is based on speed & if your lucky, you can use it to your advantage to a slower type like fortress or stronghold.
Example if your fortunate enough they dont have mass haste, then you can slow them down & use your speed.
My first game I played with Rychenroller I was Inferno on EXTREME!!!!!!
Only 5 devils I went to third area & easily cleared hoardes & throngs of lv 5-6-7 creatures etc.
Excluding dragons & faster flyers of course .
Unfortunately I couldnt find a tope or pandora with gold for life of me but it was a fun game.
I gave it my best hehe.
Proves that speed can get you far in the early stages & possibly a faster break.

Heroes
-Fiona - makes a good scout. With her nice scouting radius and high-speed hell hounds, she can make best scouts. Don't pick as main, though.
-Ignatius - the exception to the rule, that heroes with level 1 specialities rule. Just makes your fodder survive longer, which can cause trouble if you are after demon-farming
-Marius - nice, tough hero. Her bonus to demons is extremely useful, when you're after demon-farming. Advanced armourer ensures that newly born demons survive enough to punish.
-Nymus - also cool, strong hero. With her offence, you can easily attack slightly bigger amies. Good for demon farming, if you want to make use of your pit lords.
-Octavia - good, but don't pick as main. Scholar doesn't fit there, I would rather have armorer. If you find in tavern, hire, it will repay in one week.
-Pyre - good, both for scout and main. Strong and fast, plus a balista bonus. Don't hesitate.
-Rashka - good for magic and efreeti, nice all around. Scholar doesn't fit here, sorcery or intelligence would be way better.
-Ayden - this guy rocks. As heretics don't have talent for knowledge, Ayden provides you with a nice bunch of spellpoints. Good for main, though you might be dissapointed, if you want might.
-Calid - pick only if you play dungeon (learning???)
-Olema - good for sieges, but otherwise sucky. If you want weakness, take cuthbert.
-Xarfax - well, most think he is good. But you won't unleash his potential, until he has 2 knowledge, cause fireball costs 15 mana! Never pick it, he sucks in the early game.
-Xyron - as above.
-Zydar - packer! This guy, with his nice boost to sorcery, can smack your opponent with nice direct damage spells. Although powerful, try to pick demoniacs, rather than heretics.
Dwellings
Very expensive level 7. Requires bit of sulphur and boatloads of mercury. GOLD is needed. Quite hard to have upg. Forsaken palace and castle week one. Though posssible. Not good for noobs, requires a nice balance between magic and troops. Really expensive. Can eat your whole supplies. You'll have all dwellings, but no creatures. On maps with poor resources, looses to everyone.
Buildings
Who wants to pay 10000 gold for something that doesn't work until you have 2 inferno towns? Better invest into magic guild (5 levels), so that you get town portal. Ammo cart? Why ammo cart from blacksmith? For lousy gogs? Heh, strange... Order of fire and brimstone stormclouds boost your power, though do nothing more. Birthing pools only provide more fodder. Cages are useful...
Creatures
Only one shooters, no flyers until level 6. 5, 6 and 7 level creatures are low, compared to other towns. Archdevil's -1 luck does nothing more than lowering you opponent's chance of luck, since in heroes 3 there's no such thing as bad luck. Pit lords are lousy and weak, without the demon farming, they would be total fodder. Imps are best given to ally necromancer, who will make good use of them. Magogs usually roast your own creatures in hth, which weakens you, not your enemy. Cerberi are fast, can be used for scouts, or to ensure that you begin, so that you can cast spells. Only for really experienced players.
Advantages
-Wins where there's plenty of resources
-With dimplomacy and pit lords you swarm huge amounts of demon
-Cerberi can be useful, if you're playing against many tactical mistakes.
-Magogs can be deadly on the very beginning, when you need much firepower - they serve better than marksmen
Disadvantages
-Loses on poor maps
-Heroes suck - silly balanced demoniacs and heretics.
-Magogs roats your own in late game.
-There are never enough pit lords to create a nice army f demons.
-Lousy dragonflies are faster than units 1-5 and 6 unapgraded, sultans also have speed of 13, while only devils and ADs are faster than that.
-Needs too many resources
-Ammo cart?
As ou see, there are many disadvantages. I recommend leaving inferno only to really experienced players. Without proper knowledge, you will be only humiliated.

Sorry, I am too lazy and not interested enough.
Inferno used to work fine for me on poor templates 160% difficulty.
I guess that's because of efreets -- since you won't get level7 plus castle anyhow, you might as well go for level 6 + castle and 6 efreet sultans day 8 just rock. Until then, you gotta live from your offense: inferno creatures are fragile, but usually do a lot of damage.
However, as someone else has pointed out, a single mistake or some good-morale strain on neutrals can cause you the game.
Also, on poor setups, you might as well start with Octavia. 350 gold & scholar, really like her.
I think that on easier setups, where you can buy everything and his grandpa, inferno does not shine... You can't afford to build upgrades, gotta hurry with developement and such and you will stay with not-so good troops.
Curiously, I never found inferno troops expensive either; but maybe that's just me
I also found that their level 5-6-7 troops are really a driving force, all of them are very good. Arch Devils, cool special, efreets good speed and Pit Lords high damage.

Yea, but i only want to upgrade efreet sultans fast, the others can wait. Pit Lords can wait until serious demon farming, devils can wait for a while too... though archies are cool. The others - who cares. They can wait till endfight. I seldom build cerberi btw, cause they are out of the building tree.

I think that the inferno is a really good town to have.
The Grail structure, when acquired, makes every week the week of the Imp/Familiar.
Thats a good bonus.
The order of Fire adds +1 to your visiting heroes Power skill and that is a good thing.
The Familiars channel 20% of the enemies spell points towards your own hero. They are also very good in high numbers.
Magogs are good, but if any of your troops are next to the enemy unit that you are targeting then your unit will probably get hit.
The Cerberi are a good unit to have. They have good mobility, and they can attack 3 adjacent eneimies at once, and they are pretty strong.
Demons and Horned Demons are an alright unit to have.
The Pit lords are an excellent unit to have. They can ressurect dead allies into Demons, Demon Farming
Efreet or Efreet Sultan are alright. Efreet Sultan has a 150% damage when attacking Genies.
Devils or Arch Devils are not the best lev7 unit in the game. Their damage is alright, but their health is not so good, one of the worst in the game. They have incredible speed which is really good.
they also have 150% damage when attacking Angels which is a good thing, as Angels are one of the more stronger units in the game, and if you have alot of Devils then you will be quite hard to beat.
The good heroes from this town are:
Nymus
because she has a good ability of increasing the Pit lords attack and defense skill, which can be quite useful, as you can combine Pit Lords with Demons and then you will have an excellent army and hard to beat.
Marius because she has the skill of increasing the attack and defense skill of Demons and Horned demons, which is really good because when you do the Demon Farming strategy, then the attack and defense will be higher and thus making them more powerful, and you will also have a horde of Demons in your army.
Zydar is also another good hero because of his unique ability, he gains 5% bonus to his sorcery skill per level bonus, making him one of the most powerful heroes for this town type. With his unique ability sorcery + Armaggedon, you will be hard to defeat, as Armaggedon is one of the more powerful spells in the game, and it will become much stronger because of Zydar's unique ability. IMO he is probably the best hero for this town type.
The only bad things for this town is that some of the units are really weak.
The Devils are not the strongest unit in the game, they are pretty weak.
Some buildings are dear but not by much.
Advantages.
Can win quite eaisly when you have alot of resources
The Demon Farming technique is an excellent way to get your army very strong
Some good heroes like Zydar.
Disadvantages.
Some things need to many resources.
The speed of most of the units is quite poor.
Not enought Pit Lords to recruit alot Demons (Pit Lords growth rate not the best)
Most of the heroes of this town are not really good.
The Devils are not the strongest lev7 unit in the game, one of the weakest.
This is a good town type and I would rate it 6?10.

THE INFERNO
Advantages:
- Efreet Sultans are great and fast level 6 units
- Arch Devils are one of the most UNDERESTIMATED level 7 units in the game - fast speed and no retaliation more than make up for low hit points and modest damage
- Cerebri are one of the best level 3's.
- Units are pretty fast
- Demoniacs are great heroes
Disadvantages:
- Units are very fragile HP-wise - an ounce of bad luck can put the Inferno army in trouble
- Imps and gogs are worthless units and magogs are too much trouble with their fireball attack
- No low level flyers, which means siege combat is very, very hard in the early and mid-game. Efreet are the first flyer in the line-up, all pre-efreet units are weak walkers (kinda like H2 knight troops)
- Very expensive to build and maintain - which is a problem on small maps
Heroes:
- Demoniacs are great heroes, but Heretics aren't bad either. Pyre stands out.
Best Unit:
EFREET SULTAN - high speed and fire shield are great
Worst Unit:
FAMILIAR - this unit is SO LAME that they go down fast like bowling pins - not a joke!
OVERALL RANKING: 8th

Heroes
-------
Zydar is a good hero because of his Unique skill, which is he gets a 5% increase with his sorcery skill per level up.
Now that is really good, and when you have this combined with earth, water, air and fire secondary skills, then this wil be incredibly useful for you.
Nymus is a good hero because of her unique skill which she adds extra attack, and defense skills to pit lords or pit fiends.
This is really good, because they can do the demon farming technique which is simply, they resurrect dead allies and they turn into demons, and this is really good, because you can gather about 500 Peasants, sacrafice them or kill them and then turn them into demons, that is if you have enough pit fiends/lords in a stack, because alot will be needed to generate 500 demons from dead peasants.
Nymus is a good hero because of the technique which the pit fiends/lords can do.
Marius because she has the skill of increasing the attack and defense skill of Demons and Horned demons, which is really good because when you do the Demon Farming strategy, then the attack and defense will be higher and thus making them more powerful, and you will also have a horde of Demons in your army.
The Units
----------
The Familiars channel 20% of the enemies spell points towards your own hero. They are also very good in high numbers.
Magogs are good, but if any of your troops are next to the enemy unit that you are targeting then your unit will probably get hit.
The Cerberi are a good unit to have. They have good mobility, and they can attack 3 adjacent eneimies at once, and they are pretty strong.

they also have 150% damage when attacking Angels which is a good thing, as Angels are one of the more stronger units in the game, and if you have alot of Devils then you will be quite hard to beat.
Devils are not a bad unit at all, because they are fast, powerful and are really good units to have, definately not one of the worst, there are others which are far more worse than this unit is.
Buildings
----------
The Grail structure, when acquired, makes every week the week of the Imp/Familiar.
Thats a good bonus.
The order of Fire adds +1 to your visiting heroes Power skill and that is a good thing, because if you have your hero which is Zydar, then his power will be higher, and that means that you can do more damage with your spells, and if it happens that your Zydar has expert earth, expert air, expert water and expert fire and expert sorcery, then you will be really powerful and have a definate advantage aginast your opponents during battle, mainly because you will probably wipe them all out with your spells rather than with your units in your army.
Advantages
--------------
Can win quite eaisly when you have alot of resources
The Demon Farming technique is an excellent way to get your army very strong
Some good heroes like Zydar, marius and nymus add to the better army that you will have.
Demon farming technique is definately one of the best, and you can get really powerful armies by using this, just think necromancy but it is demon farming with inferno not necropolis
Disadvantages
--------------
Some things need to many resources.
The speed of most of the units is quite poor.
Not enought Pit Lords to recruit alot Demons (Pit Lords growth rate not the best)
Most of the heroes of this town are not really good.
The Devils are not the strongest lev7 unit in the game, they are not the strongest, but they are also not one of the weakest, about in the middle, but that may be bad due to the fact that the opponents usually get more than one town type by taking other opponents towns, and then getting more variety in level7 units in their army, so you may be in a little bit of trouble here.
This is really good, because of the demon farming technique.

Demon farming is not necromancery, the number of the ressurected demons is the number of sacrificed hit points devided by 35 which is one demons hit points.
So 500 peasants will give you 14 demons.
