You do not need a friend or expert player to fight.
Online gaming is just another name for "Playing like this".
What seperates a online game from a common single player game is the random map generator templates used and rules.
When you train, you do not want to "train" your online gaming vs another player, because that's the last step of the training.
You are not to go up to Maretti and plead for him to fight you before you know how the process of the map fighting works.
The biggest part of a online game is not the actual "online" moment, when you fight the other player in the end fight. But the way from the start towards the end fight - and that Anil, is a fight vs the same good old dumb AI and it can be done single player on a Jebuscross template (or the template you prefer to train on).
You shall train your skills of clearing the map within 2-3 weeks and at the start of week 3/4 you shall push into the treassure zone. You keep practising this until your losses of units vs the map, the need for magic is close to 0 and when you can push into the treassure zone in a comfortable manner during middle week 2 - early week 3.
THEN once you have a good grip on this, you try and poke one of the expert dragons and ask them nicely if they'd care to roast or grill you in a real online game and once they are finished, you look at what you did right and wrong, but most importantly - what THEY DID.
And remember, things might seem tough and rough, but every good player worth his salt has been there and you can always turn to the HC forums for guidance with hero-chaining, crypt fighting, town tips etc. Good luck.

You can install wog, then activate Conquistador and disable all wog scripts. You will get SoD game but an AI which will eat you alive, according to the settings you choose. In Conquistador, AI is customizable, its power goes up to 1000%.

I'm not sure that I would agree with Inferno's Tier 5 units being an "unnecessary" upgrade. I find that I perform best with Inferno when I actually have Pit Lords handy since they allow you to convert troops from other towns into a very powerful Demon stack.

Do you know MeKick how can we use effective demon farming? Should we always pick Marius? We are spending +200 more gold for +1 speed and demon farming ability. Is this good trade?

Just do the following Anil. Edit a map using the map editor and place a hero with 105 imps, 41 gogs, 14 hell hounds and 20 demons.
Now place a second hero with 57 demons and see which hero performs the best. Basically, the materials you spend upgrading PF to Pit Lords, is probably one of the best deals in the game.
Also, if you are allowed to select starting hero, then Marius is a swell chick to have around.
And remember, the power of the Inferno lies in the speedy units and demon stack from own units (but also from other towns). The Inferno is the hardest town to play online because you need great expertise and knowledge of the game and even then the Inferno units provide a very unforgiving nature for misstakes. So do not start off your online training with this town, cause even the best shed tears (me included) with this town sometimes.

No.
1x Pit Lord can raise 50 hp. 1x Demon = worth 35 hp. Thus to have the best raise effect you want to kill a stack and raise them when they are in the numbers equal to 35, 70, 105, 140 and so on.
Lv and specials have no influence on this.

But that s problem if you choose demon farming strategy you won t create devils early because you should build mage guild 2 and spend to money for cannon fodders and pit lords.

You can build Pit Lords second week, and if you were better at creeping I'm sure you'd have plenty of cash.

The building order looks like this Anil (we assume 2nd dwell is pre built):
Day 1: Magi Guild 1
Day 2: Demon Gate
Day 3: Fire Lake
Day 4: Hell Hole
Day 5: Forsaken Palace
Day 6: Citadel
Day 7: Castle
W2D1: Magi Guild 2
W2D2: Upg. Hell Hole
So you start your demon farming during week 2. Just remember, this is the hardest town in the game to play online, so only try this once you got a good grip on how the template is played.

I talked about of demon farming on online. Inferno players usually likes magogs and cerberus they dont want convert to Demons. Impossible simultaneously buy Devils, Efreets, Pit Lords and cannon fodders, that's too expensive.
Imp cost is 50. Need 9 Imp for 1 demon=450 but demon costs is normally 250.
Pit Fiend upgrade cost is 200.
You paid totally 650 gold and gained 1 demon. 250-650= -400.

The order I spoke of is for online play Anil.
Any Inferno player who sits and loves Magogs and Cerberus = not a online player. Besides, you do not build the Hell Hound dwelling the first week as that means you miss out on Castle.
It's not too expensive at all. If it is expensive for you then it means one thing: you do not drain the map good enough.
Remember, in my example with the huge demon stack, I did not just need the gold for the things you mentioned, but also to buy the troops from the other small towns for extra demons.
As for trading hp to demons. Yes you sometimes trade more hp for less hp, but you forget that attack/defense/speed increase, but most importantly, you gain a power-stack.

Hmm I'm not really convinced by demon farming either, I mean I use it when I have no resurrection and I lose a stack, but actively sacrificing everything from level 1-3 is something I would never do, too mathematical, technical and time consuming for me.
Demons also only have a speed 5, which will actually slow your hero down, as demons will have the lowest speed in the army.
Since I play HotA Magogs are also much better and I see no reason to sacrifice Infernos only shooter.
Necromancy is so damn easy to use, demon farming is not.

I think Inferno is only cheaper than tower and castle. Is it true? If your goal is demon farming from cerberus and gog how can you capture enemy towns without shooter and with 2 flyer? Cerberus one of the best 3.rd level unit. Teleport is very essential. Inferno is really need water magics ironically.
Very hard use sacrifice correctly because ai likes kill imps and gogs firstly.

You always trade your slow creatures to a chainer before the next day so you move with the devil's max speed.
Inferno is as you might expect, very technical and difficult. However, it can yeild tremendous power if played right.

Those units are much better combined as one. Try even to ignore the increased stats, take some random unit in a stack of 70 and let it fight 7 of the same unit in stacks of 10 and see how much better a combined stack is (equal heroes, no spells, spirit of oppression, etc.).
You normally can't do this with units that are not identical, but to put it simply, Demon Farming is a tool to transfer your own low level units and other towns low level units and combine them to something that can be better than a 7 level unit.

Do you guys know some good videos of demon farming?, perhaps I could learn something. Demon farming is one of the few aspects of Heroes 3 I never really figured out or maybe I just would'nt invest too much in it.
I have heard of destroying your own units with meteor shower, I suppose frost ring, fireball and inferno could be used as well, wasting spellpoints on you own units seems pretty counterintuitive though...
Notice that I play HotA and without Town Portal and Dimension Door.
