Heya.
I replayed that "20 bone dragons" thing. I had 24 bone dragons when i won the last orange player (in the northeast), so i just needed to go right through the portal. I didn't get then that new task to rescuit them.
I played the another level and Im now at that Godric -lvl. I got that angel wings and all and headed to city to kill Godric.
Well.. at least I tried, it went like this
Godric came from the city after me and started to battle. It was long, because Godric's army was huge. Finally I managed to kill his army.. but..
The battle didn't end 
I had like 67 skeleton archers when i killed his forces. Then the battle didn't stop, but godric attacked to my skeletons. I couldn't do nothing, because there wasn't anyone to attack.. So when godric finally killed my last skeletons it didn't stop either
I put it to autocombact and now there are both, me Markal and Godric doing "wait" and "defence"...
Has this happened to anyone else?

I won that combact doing that spell, haha
or.. won and won.. because the battle seems still going on,eventhoug there no enemies anymore..

most likely it's a very rare bug, cause once you kill godrick's academy army he'll immediately summon a haven army. you should restart the scenario

Yes, i replayed this one too and passed it.
It was more easier (those summoned forces too) than i thought.
But this allthetime replaying irritates me..

It's quite possible it want's you to RECRUIT 20 Bone Dragons, not BUY 20 Bone Dragons. This worked for me without a hitch.
When I say "recruit", I mean take Markal to the numerous neutral bone dragon stacks that are all over the map (islands and what-not). There are MORE then 20 Dragons you can get this way... it might only be counting those recruited, not purchased... that's my guess anyways... I never bought a single Bone Dragon in this scenario, I completed the objective as soon as it was assigned, because I had already "recruited" more then 20 bone dragons during the course of the scenario.
Frankly, if you're not taking advantage of Markus's inherant undead recruiting abilities to get more then 20 FREE Bone Dragons, you deserve to be stuck in this scenario!
I have recruited every undead and killed the entire map i now have 100 bone dragons not counting the 100 + spec drags and still can not follow this guy ??

Did you miss any scripted event?
For example, Necro artifacts go to Markal, etc.

Just in case someone having difficulty to finish mission 3 (The invasion), i have very2 easy way to finish this mission.
This will work if you have "Instant Travel"
It is not necessary to build any town to its maximum, just go with markal, recruit any undead creatures in your way. This is including bone dragon. There is more than 20 dragon in this map.
Beat every neutral creatures in the map if you have enough army, in my case 47 archlich, 16 wraith, 24 bone dragon, 1k skeleton archer, 60 vampire lord, other army not neccessary because i never use it in any combat. Note, skeleton archer will automatically increase everytime you beat enemy (need certain skill, and i forgot what skill it is). Even it is not necessary to do this, but you need to beat as much enemy as you can to raise your level. Go to sphinx in the middle of the map and answer the question and pick 20000 experience as your bonus.
Such an army is enough to finish this mission. You don't have to curse any city, and also never fight orange army, it will waste your time.
Use Instant Travel to travel through blocked terrain, gate, sphinx, etc. Beat every city, start from the middle of the map to get staff of the netherworld, beat the city at the top to get the robe, and then go east, use instant travel to pass the gate (2 gates), then you will find cyrus. Of course he will run through the portal, just follow him and your mission is complete.

Bug manifests this way:
If you take Freyda prisoner, then in the same turn you move past the ambush spot, the angel ambush will not trigger.
Workaround: If his happens, just move Markal once again through the ambush spot in the next days, and the script will trigger, you get attacked by angels, and get the wings.

Ok since I figured out how do to help from a friend I thought I would post.
If this happens to you there are a few other places to recruit dragons if you have not recruited them all go do this and it will fix it. If you have recruited all the dragons you must go back to the last save point before recruiting them and do it again.
Ok I realize it sounds all very easy. The problem I had was I had already upgraded to build spec dragon and soon as i recruited the bone dragons I upgraded them. For some reason this then removed the check mark from the quest even though it had already told me it was completed. I have been told that you can upgrade and complete the quest but I have not been successful at it. So I recommend you place the recruited dragons to the side and do not upgrade them. Take spectrals you make or anything you recruit over 20 but save back 20 bone dragons.
In short the bone Dragons must be recruited not purchased, upgrading the recruited ones looses quest. Now you can fight with them kill them leave them behind in the castle what ever but don't upgrade them.

You have about 2 weeks until the orange come, so you can certainly flag some mines and build up some army. If your Markal can't beat the landed orange heroes, give all armies to Godric, who is a far superior army commander than Markal. (Did you develop him back in C1M5?)

Necropolis Mission 1 (1.3)
In the fight vs the rebel army right at the end, the game always crashes if I attack/counterattack the paladins. Same with spells. Anyone else got this problem?

any key combo you have to enter ??? I am confused, someone help em with this mayB dumb question, but want to try it...
OK it is solved...
my game was a bit corrupted tried from earlier savepoint and everything went fine

Why doesnīt death knigt join markal? it is written that all neutral undead creatures will join.

OK it is solved...
my game was a bit corrupted tried from earlier savepoint and everything went fine
1) Equip staff.
2) Walk into a wizard town.
3) Exit that screen.
4) A dialog box will pop up asking if you wanna curse it for 10,000 gold.
5) Click yes.

He does have the Undead ability, so he's pretty much as alive as a skeleton. Markal's speciality most likely only affects Necropolis creatures and not neutral ones.
I was lucky, though, and got 30 Death Knights on the mission where you're gonna capture the Academy cities

I had same question then started looking at it.
The death knight is more/less an anti paladin. So he is actually an evil Knight but not undead.
But when you read about the death knight. itīs written that the death knight is a vampire = undead

Thanks for the correction I just assumed "and we all know what means" that he was not undead but sure enough it says he has the undead ability.
I think the guy prior to this is correct and does not count neutral creatures only those that can be found in your castle.
