So what if there are so many posts daily? Everyone has something to say about the Stronghold we're making and a lot of ppl are involved in it. So hell yeah theres a lot of communication. You can post your stronghold if you want, but we're done with ours and there's a big chance we arent gonna change anything. It'd be interesting to see what you've got though...
Let me explain this post to you then, Sinbad. We have made a Stronghold town. Now we are gonna give it to Nival to include in the next expansion. Hope it clears things up for you.

Ok, I understand everything. Doesnt make a problem for me. If you want to see *my* Stronghold, come to my thread when there will be a discussion about new towns. You can send this one to Nival or Ubi if you want, I dont mind, but I will probably send my too. So I would be glad, if you could wait until I post my Stronghold here, than we can improve it if you want, and after everything is finished we can make a poll to know who likes my idea. Is it OK? If not, never mind.

Where's your stronghold page? Well, we aren't gonna change much from our current lineup but sure I'd love to see what you've got. I dunno if you want to collaberate with us or send in ur own stronghold to Nival. Either way is fine. As long as a good Stronghold is made...

I'm kinda occupied this week so I haven't got the time to draft the letter. I also suggest that we use a native english speaker to write the letter and that we ask for a reply to the letter. Hope I can be of help later on.

Well here's a start, I've gone for the more formal approach to suggest maturity and professionalism, but this method could risk our being ignored! Perhaps we need something a little more ... jazzy?
Dear Sir / Madam,
We as a group are writing to make a proposal - that of the implementation of the Stronghold town into Heroes of Might and Magic 5. Loved by many in previous Heroes games, the town would fit perfectly into the sequel - now the Orcs can begin to band together and form the basis of a civilisation. It would extend a game that is already miles beyond those previous titles, and also beyond anything we could have hoped for.
In brief the faction comprises detailed histories and a timeline, and will combine current content with brand new ideas to create a hopefully seamless addition that feels as if it never were missing.
The idea has been 3 or 4 months in the planning, and has drawn from the wells of creativity of many, stretching to almost 20 pages of discussion. If it were to be used, all we would ask for is a mention in the credits, since our desire to see this realised far outweighs any will to have much credit. Hence, we sign over these ideas to Nival and Ubisoft and in no shape or form seek any kind of compensation monetary or otherwise bar that already mentioned.
We and many others besides would be overjoyed to see the new town slot into our new world of Ashan. We hope you find the time to peruse our ideas, even if they cannot be actualised, and we will gratefully welcome feedback! Thanking you in anticipation of whatever may come next, whether our ideas or your own, yours faithfully,

The only thing I would alter is to turn Heroes 3 into previous titles of Heroes of Might and Magic. (The Stronghold has always been in)

1. the debate between vultures, falcons and crows for the shamans. what about bats? Like a swarm of bats? Or shall we just leave it as a single gyrfalcon.

While a swarm of bats is a realy nice idea, I'm afraid we can't use it. Orc shamans using bats has already been done in the Age of Wonders series. I say we should stick to the Gyrfalcon. Still, SBlister, you never realy told us what a Gyrfalcon actualy is. The only thing you said was that it shared many traits with the birds we were debating.

Thanks for bringing it up WarOverlord. We shall not use bats then. A gyrfalcon is like a hawk or eagle. you can check it on wikipedia to see what it looks like. i think its short for gryphon falcon but im not 100% sure on that one. but its a big hawk like bird for sure.

I've looked it up on wikipedia and a gyrfalcon is actually just a large species of falcon. I thought you had made up a bird to serve as the companion to the shaman. Maybe it's just me, but I think that we should create our own species of bird instead of using a bird from the actual world.

I would still vote for vulture.
Definetly not hawks they are just too small.
A new one would also be good.
Maybe someone should draw one?

Art of any kind would be fantastic, I wonder if there is anyone we could ask (perhaps someone can find the thread we had a while back where we had to draw Heroes-related pics on a special web-based program)...?

Excellent Gnoll Mage. I think that letter is perfect. Now about contacting Nival... Does anyone know how we can get this faction to Nival's development office, specifically to whoevers designing/ in charge of the expansion?
Secondly, ok since gyrfalcons are too small, I would agree on vultures but let's just leave it as carrion birds and see what Nival will design at the end of the day. Who knows, they might make some creature we would have never thought of.... so i shall change them to carrion buzzards as the official term on the MASTER POST.

Well the only contacts I could find are the emails I posted a while back (from the Nival site). I don't know about Ubi though... who would be more appropriate - Ubi or Nival?
