I believe that the Orc can trace their root back to Tolkien. He might got them from my mythology, but he really should be credit for defining them as creature of evil and savage.
The green skin of Orc I believe are first introduce by the Warhammer series. Blizzard later copy them and use green for their orc too.
Therefore, I don't want orc in HoMM to be greenskin....
Anyhow.... so how come no one post any pictures?

There are some pictures somewhere along the line that have been posted before Action Jack. It would seem pointless to include pictures because Nival is basically going to design the Stronghold whatever way they want to. Our main job is to provide them with ideas from which they could build a foundation in the creative process. No one wants the orcs to have green skin. Except Sinbad of course who doesn't seem to make the connection between the orcs that will appear in the HOMMV expansion and the ones in Dark Messiah.

You do what you want - I do what I want. I have opened that poll already and Im curious about the results. If its ignored, doesnt matter. Thats my problem.
And besides, wasnt it you SBlister who wrote in the town description on page 8 that the orc are greenskins?
Oh, I see you deleted it already...
Besides, I totally forgot that they were orange boar-guys with crossbows in Heroes 1 and 2!!! That means that they still can be orange!

Step a bit off the topic here, but I will say that...
I question Nivial will read the suggestion here on the fourm. Even if they do, it will be heavily modified in development.
The way I see, the fourm is just a way for us to express our creative thoughts, to possibly to role-play as a dev. It should also be entertaining. Therefore, the call for pictures.. as picture are fun.

War-Overlord did the creature descriptions. Yes the orcs were supposed to be green in our Stronghold but since they are brown in Dark Messiah means that they have to be brown in Heroes V as well. plain and simple. Besides the MASTER POST is always being updated by new changes.
Action Jack, you're more than welcome to post pics if you want. That is a nice orc picture but our orcs look more like the ones from dark messiah in terms of their armor and weaponry. I believe there are pictures on page 5. All our creatures are gonna look somewhat like the pictures except for the Shaman and Behemoth.

I want to explain something here. While it was the original idea to make the orcs green, I always did my best to make the Orcs as similar to DMoMM as possible. Mainly because if any of our ideas would be used it would be those that fit as much as possible in the world that already existed. That is the greatest reason why I made the least amount reference to skincolor or physical traits of the creatures. I worked with what I already knew about the upcoming Orcs of Ashan and try to make our Orcs resemble them as much as possible.
Lastly there are some minor flaws I found in the masterpost.
-In the description of the Shaman it states "and many of them wild, scavenger, carrion buzzards". Firstly I think you forgot to enter "tame" in fornt of them, because the sentence doesn't make any sense otherwise. Secondly, beast who eat carrion are already scavengers because carrion is per defenition not kill by the creature itself. Therefor scavenger is rather useless in this sentence.
-In the descriptions of both the Wyvern and the Quartzhide Wyvern, Wyvern is a couple of times spelled without a capitol letter. It would be better if we are consequent with this and spell it with a capitol letter all the time. The same applies to the all creature names in the description of Bloodlust.
-In the description of Siegecraft it should be stated that it adds to the Siege-damage of the Trolls. It could be mistaken that it increases the attack of the Trolls in all the battles.
-It also should be stated that Grostarh is a campaign-hero, since we kinda elected him as the main antagonist in the Campaign.
Lastly, which isn't neceseraly an error, If I understand correctly, the dwellings for the Vanguard and the Elite Vanguard are combat arenas. They are like stadiums (I know it should be Stadia, but that might leed to misinterpretation) where the Vanguard fight and train and where the rest of the Orcs can go and watch them. (this only applies if I am right so far) Now the Halls of Valhalla are there to boost the growth of the Vanguard. WHat I don't understand is how we would want to encorporate Halls into an arena building. Can someone explain this to me or tell me where I drift with my reasoning ?

Well I've made all the changes u suggested War-Overlord. Halls of Valhalla is built in honor of the veteran vanguards and it overlooks the rings of honor where the veteran vanguard continue to train. After a hard day of fighting, the vanguard gather here to feast and drink themselves silly.
To Sinbad: The MASTER POST ain't my post. Its the collective ideas, suggestions and improvements of all involved. I'm the compiler in addition to being part of the greatest Development Team there is... The Heroes Community Stronghold Team! Can I get a hell yeah?

Great that makes two of us. Still I think we need at least third to make this realy work, when more people are involved, the chance that we will create (another) overall accepted and acceptable town.
BTW, is it to late to make any changes to the Stronghold? If not I have some small thing to change.
Since the Poison attack of out Wyverns is differs from the Poison attack of the Assasin, why don't we call it Venomous Attack to indicate the difference.
