Press and hold control while clicking on the person you want to rob or the object you want to steal. Beware cause if you get caught you'll lose reputation and people around will become hostile to you

Where was the last guy you had to fight in MM7? i couldn't find him!
also, in my version, there was a bug... i couldn't open the tavern door in the dwarven city... thus i couldn't complete arcomage ( i love that card game)
also, has anyone realised that above the tavern(at least i think it's the tavern) in Tatalia, there's a mage guild?? You have to move back facing the door to the docks (back against the fence), and use jump spell. As soon as you jump, quickly click the door and you can get in..... lol!

Yes, it's a guild of the mind (one of the better). Fly will also do the trick.

Let's continue the discussions on these awesome games.
After I failed for a dozens of times I started another game of MM6 and this time I mean to win it. I've got a few questions though, does healing in Baa temples have any negative side effects? I don't like the evil laugh of the Baa priest when I leave the temple :-(
and one more, how exactly do the HP and SP bonuses work when I get promotions?
and the last one. The master level of some skills requires the hero to have some kind of promotion. If I have the honorary promotion, will I be able to master that skill?

Quote: does healing in Baa temples have any negative side effects? I don't like the evil laugh of the Baa priest when I leave the temple :-(
No. IIRC donating money lowers your reputation.
Quote: and one more, how exactly do the HP and SP bonuses work when I get promotions?
They work in the same way. I'll describe HP (SP is then just the same).
Each class has a base HP value (called baseHP) at each promotion level. Your total amount of hit points is calculated as: startHP + baseHP*level + other bonuses (endurance and so on). When you recieve a promotion for a character his baseHP will increase and therefore his total HP will increase accordingly. This means that if your level 10 knight is promoted to cavalier you'll not "lose" the additional HP for those 10 levels, in other words: it makes no difference at what level you get promoted in the end.
I don't know the exact values.
Quote: and the last one. The master level of some skills requires the hero to have some kind of promotion. If I have the honorary promotion, will I be able to master that skill?
Yes. Notice that your skill level does not necessarily have to be more than 4. You can become master of spirit and air even though your skill level is only 4!
If you want to know the exact values of baseHP and baseSP (or the startHP/startSP) for the various classes I suggest you ask the veterans who hang out in Redkneck´s MM6 Tavern. (no membership required).

Are you absolutely certain of this? I seem to recall that even healing in such temple has unwanted side effects on reputation.

Thanks Ecoris for help.
I got another problem, could be a bug.
I can't find Nicolai, it's October and he's neither in Mire of the Damned Circus, nor in any other Circuses. Everywhere I go I get the "The circus has moved" message. I'm using the original ripped version and none of the patches seem to work on my computer. Is this a common bug and is there a way to find Nicolai?

Try the Darkmoor circus in August. I think I found Nicolai there during that month.

The Circus is only open 3 months a year:
April: Blackshire
August: Mire of the Damned
December: Bootleg Bay
I usually wait until April before talking with Nicolai so that I may complete Wilbur Humprey's quests.
Note: Each month is exactly 4 weeks = 28 days. There is a one-off bug with the circus opening times which means that they 'arrive' one day before (i.e. it opens 28th March/July/November) and 'leave' one day before (is closed the 28th April/August/December).
I am not 100% sure that healing in a temple of baa will not lower your reputation, but I've never experienced it myself and I use them a lot.

If you right click on a skill in your skill window you'll see a description of it for basic/expert/master e.g. "skill reduces recovery time" or "skill added to damage". So increasing your skill beyond 8 will have an effect. It would spent my points on magic skill, but that's just a personal preference. If you want to be improve your effectiveness with weapons you can spend points in this category. But it'll be late in the game before you've mastered all the skills you should master for a given character.
BTW, I enjoy games more without walkthroughs/guides (which Mike Marcelais' page is, http://www.the-spoiler.com/RPG/New.World.Computing/might.and.magic6.3/mm6.htm, I presume). I prefer to solve and discover things myself the first few times I play the game. Only if I get stuck I'll look for help. I wish I could remove all my knowledge of MM6 and play it again like the first time. How far are you in the story line, ratmonky?

I'm only using Mike's page to find the locations of trainers, travel schedules and stuff like that and only when I really get stuck.
I've done most of the quests in NS, CI, NH, Mist and BB, got the first round of promotions except druid one and now I'm slowly clearing Frozen Highlands of Magyars and harpies. I haven't been to Silver cove yet and i'm afraid to travel to other regions :-). My characters are Knight, Archer, Cleric and Sorcerer, currently in level 26 or something.
