You make it sound as if non-ladder is completely pointless. ladder and non lad both has pros and cons.

There are only two cube recepies that are ladder only - upgrading an exceptional unique weapon or armor to elite grade (but apparently the armor upgrade worked on non-ladder as well) so you should have no problems adding sockets to a non-ladder item.

Ohms are high runes and they are synonymous in value with other hrs like a jah or ber (USwest that is... i've no clue on what differences there may exist in Euro though).

I don't think I did make it sound like it was pointless, I was just saying that Ladder is better, more weapons, more things avaliable to it.

@ ToG Could you IM me or just drop a link here to where I could find the recipies for adding extra sockets to items ? ( remember I play non-ladder - Europe )
- I have tried to find some info on this but no go so far, so a link would be sweet.
- I have used those two links you IM'ed me and found my next build - a ww-sin - lol that sounds fun to play and she would own Nid's trapsin I'm sure (  @ Nid ).
@Will - Sure I hear what you say. But sometimes I just skim it because some of your info is/was build on ladder.. right ?
- I do however have a question for ya, I think you mentioned that the Countess was a good place for rune ( runs ) or was it a bad place ?( just to lazy to go through all the posts right now ). I have noticed that She drops 2-3 each time but I haven't gotten any hrs yet though. and since someone either hacked me or the lagmonster has been striking again...I*m in dire need of some runes ( 2x Ohm and 1x Pul and Zod was all of a sudden missing from my inventory  ).
- A few Questions in general too.
I have made a botd of an elite maul ( not thunder but I just wanted to have one ) And I have a clean Ik maul as my backup and my question is this, should I Ist my IK because I dont get all that good drops in general ?
- I better list my Barb items first though :
Helm : Shakto ( clean ) and Ik as backup ( Guillaumes when things heat up )
Maul : Botd and IK ( for those immune to physical )
Gloves : Ik and Trang's as backup ( more but those are my main )
Belt : Ik and Trang ( for that +18 fireball when combined with Trangs gloves ) and some + elemental absorbtion ones.
Boots : Ik and War Travellers.
Armor : Mage Plate Enigma ( 260 def and hit a 774 on creation ) and IK as backup. But rarely uses Ik because my tacticks is build on TP from Enigma ( I know I know... leap.. but not my cup of tea ).
Amulet(s) : Cat's Eye and Rising sun ( almost perfect ) and a few other high ones.
rings : A low Raven Frost and Dwarf Star
- So as ya'll can see my mf aint the best .... so should I Ist the IK ?
- Or are there a better way to mf as a barb ( without changing my setup completely ? ) - I sort of "swear" to, before I exit the Rouge encampment as lvl 1 to decide as to what I want to do and use.. and I stick with it.

Howdy!
I have the afternoon off, went to dinner with colleagues at noon and had too much to eat and drink. Completely bloated  So much for doing some paperwork this afternoon hehe, so I'll go find my D2 disc and see if you're on Bnet
As what your question about drop percentages is concerned. I once downloaded a tool called D2 drops, but can't remember or find where I got it from. This is pretty useful too imo...

- Well we met,Nid and fun it was Crazy drop rate on that 4-5 th run we had. And a sur / War travelers aint bad in one run imo.

Crazy drops indeed Reminded me of how uniques used to pop all the time in the secret cow level in the early days.
For those who wouldn't know, when doing a Meph run, at least two out of three times, the stairs to level 3 can be found walking away from the waypoint clockwise...
I've taken a look at the link you provided, but I'm afraid it's for world of warcraft only, or else I'm too tired and should look again tomorrow Never seen that movie by the way... is it any good, comparable to other movies with John Cleese?
Might take a while before I have another chance to play, but it sure was fun

- Well you were to tired mate far left-down.
- As for the Cleese-Man part.. definently one of his best, you should be able to pick it up for 10 Euro MAX. Worth the buy, it's brilliant.
- Last run ( just want to brag a bit ) I got 2x Ko runes ( above 200 mf really makes the differ as you mentioned ) and a perfect Nagel + .. da da da A Godly Dusk Shroud of the Fox (Edit def 1900+ make that 1400+ lol ) and 9 vita.

- Yes yes double posting. And a bit OOC...
- I am having a bit of trouble logging into the Europe Realm today, I still can get in on US-West though. I get the " Unable to connect to B.net" error.
Any Europe players have the same problem ?
- If not, I am declined to try a UN-install followed by a RE-install of the whole game ... only one question comes to mind at this point... do I lose my charaters after a UN-RE-installation ?

Ahh Sphere now I can help you with the reinstallation and characters losing problem.
I had to do that before cos I stuffed up the game trying to do something.
Now, your battle.net character's are actually saved onto your harddrive, they should be in the save files and then in a folder called euopre or whatever, for me it is in a folder called US WEST.
Now what I did was cut that folder and place it in another place, and then I uninstalled or deleted the entire Diablo 2 folder, and then reinstalled it, and then I copied the saved files folder and then placed it in the new Diablo 2 folder.
It then should work fine, exactly how you had it.
But I do not think that the Unable to connect to battle.net would mean having to uninstall the entire game.
That sometimes happens with me when I try and connect into the US WEST battle.net server, and it sometimes does that.
It might be that battle.net is down or that your account might be hacked, but I doubt it is that your account is hacked.
But sometimes it just happens, maybe try restarting your computer or something.

I havent played Diablo 2 in a while now, but sure I will give it a shot.
I think I have an account on Europe but I don't kthink i can remember the password.
But if I could enter US WEST then that might mean that you would be able to play on Europe, I think.

Hey Sphere,
- Check your IM
- A tip about the missing runes: bnet randomly scans games for hacked/duped items and if they recieve a positive reading from your inventory, these items will be flagged for deletion upon you exiting the current game. The way to remove the 'flags' from any items which you suspect are duped is by entering the trade screen with another player. So in a nutshell, open up a trade screen with someone and quickly exit the game if you think you are carrying dubious items. Also a good idea to let mules carry runes as they are not used as often (ie less chance of being scanned) as your main char.
- Don't Ist the IK maul, its not worth it. Barbs aren't really mf chars so its better to create a pally or sorc for mf and use them to 'feed' your other chars. If you must, look for small charms with 7%mf bonus.
- About the login probs, it happens from time to time. You dont have to uninstall anything because the probs are caused by bnet, not your installation. It usually lasts a few minutes.
- If you uninstall and reinstall, the only chars you lose are single player/open bnet chars. Your ladder/nonladder chars are NOT saved on your harddrive so they are not affected at all. If you want to save your single player chars, do what william said about copy pasting.
@ william, unable to connect to bnet does not mean you've been hacked... an empty inventory would

- As for the " Unable to Connect" it's been 8 hours now...
- I am old enough(t) not to use hacks and that shiat... BUT a RL friend of mine bought ( lol ) a handfull of runes back in mid December, and I had a few of those on my barb. - BUT BUT I have played with him all through December and up till today ( well last night ) - He lost his runes ( Ohm ) a few days before New Years Day, but I just played on thinking ; *** it .. so it's a mystery to me.
-I do keep my runes / set's / etc. on different toons

P.S. - I do "ok" on hell alone and I have a spare IK maul now so I just did ( a waste of Ist, I know but I have 250-300 mf on him and still kill quick ... alone )

and keep what I get ( runes ) and those are not legit and I have them on my main ( as I do ) I can end up being banned/restricted IP or similar ?

No you will not be banned~ half the hrs on bnet are duped these days unfortunately.
