Well this is not the Lord of the Rings Mythology.
This is Heroes.
Look at the Harpies.
DOumgeon creatures in heroes 3 & now part of the Stronghold in heroes 4.
No one really complained about that.
Many like to see variety.
Not 7 little dwarves & if you want to get technical.
Dwarves are not that fond on magic like in Dragon Lance.
They need to have a little variety.
Think about some of the mix match in other castles.
Some were natural but some were mixed in.
Stop your whining & accept it.
Not all Dwarves are totally good.
Some are nuetral as well.

Thank you for that very constructive remark Aculias. Actually, I'm quite excited about the new line-up. My only objections would be to the Berzerker - I hope they did not repeat the mistake of Heroes 4 and make a unit you cannot control - and that I think the Efreet would have made an excellent appearance in these ranks, probably at level 6. Which would also have made good sense, because I can only see 2 potential large units in this line-up, and all other towns have 3 large units.

Magma Dragons? Give me a break. It's an insult to dragons. magma wyrm i'd accept but not dragon... The names need changing. badly. Here's my 2cent suggestions:

Aside from wyrms bieng extinct(See week of Wyrm), I totally agree with SB. Mabey a drake or something.

I disagree I think it's perfectly fine being a dragon for a few reasons. 1. if it was some sort of lesser being we couldn't expect it to compete on the lv7 playing field.
2. Many of the factions are built around their own elemental dragon/diety or are some how tied to dragons thus far.
Haven - Dragon of Light
Dungeon - Black Dragon
Slyvan - Emerald Dragon
Necro - Spectral Dragon
Also red dragons have been in Hereos since HoMM1 so you'd have to expect them somewhere. I guess it makes sense that the Dwarfs worship fire dragons.

The only problem I have about the dwarf dragon is they look more like lizard than dragon... may be they should have some wing?

What's the story of the magma dragon? How are they created? All the other dragons are natural apart from necropolis dragons which are made out of their bones. Magma just doesn't seem to fit.

Why not?All other dragons were created by their respective elemental dragons with the exception of Urgash and Asha who created devils and angels.Why couldn't the fire elemental dragon have created fire/magma dragons?And why not having made them different than the others?I see nothing wrong with that.Before judging the dragons wait to see how their presence is justified in the campaign.After all we have heard many other irrelevant creatures as giants,trolls,chimeras and at least dragons have a base on Ashan religion.

So according to Jolly Joker the red haven units are not the renegades I doubt they would be the humans from the east since they worship the dragon of air,thus no angels.Think they will be griffin empire deserters that were tainted by demon blood? (Yes I've played warcraft)

Hmmm there seems to be a lot of different information running around then - according to the HP Vlaad linked to, the Red units are indeed renegate Griffin Empire units, that seperated from the Griffin empire during the Demon wars. I seem to remember the site said that they fought against the Demons. But you might be right, they could be tainted - look how the Inquisitor has swapped his cross for that nasty mace! 
The Red Archangel and the Red Inquisitor (without helmet, yay! ) looks really cool!

Did I miss something? @Aculias:Why do you think I am complaining more than most?I just believe Ubi/Nival didn't deliver the game as they should but still I give them credit for their continued effort and for what we will ultimately get.You MUST have heard me say positive things,hmm?The only complaining I hear as of lately is you complaining about the complaints of others.BTW when did I last say smthing negative?It's not my fault renegades look cooler than original haven and I want to replace some skins!
