Hi there, im curently play additional campaign Sunken kingdoms (very good one  thanks to its creator) but i have some problem, same as i was playing hammers of fate warlocks campaign. i have 20 level (heroic) and i have not even one possibilities to aquire "Empowered spell" ability (in hammers of fate i do not have it until lev. 28 when its final occur) . Is it some kind of bug or is it intented? i play it with essence mod latest possible. its kinda sad that i do not have the most powerful ability of warlock. (also i played almost whole hammers of fate warlock campaign without elemental chain which i could choose only one on firsts levels but i decide to choose other ability , than it wont show for 24 levels at all  )

It is possible.. Many have lost the final battle simply because they missed a crucial ability, if you keep getting new skills it makes it harder to control the abilities that are offered.

but the strange thing is that as i was about 20 lev. and have most of the abilieties, i have sometimes just 2 choices of abilitis out of 4 and stil both of them was not "empower spell" or "elemental vision" (in sunken kingdoms i have elemental vision from the begininig )

The probabilities in H5 are rather messed up. It is possible that a lvl 15 necromancer will only have 1-2 knowledge or that you can use the memory mentor 10 times to get a skill you want(with 50% chance even) and it still won't appear.

well yes, there has to be an evaluation by the player to either:
1. go for possibly sub-optimal build, but ensure that one gets the completely necessary skill/perk for final battle first by limiting skill/perk choices during early level ups (eg. empowered spells for warlocks, retribution for some heroes; but maybe not picking a 2% skill early if it pops up like defence for warlocks or enlightenment for haven).
2. go for hopefully optimal build, but you could end up with situation described like empowered spells not popping up again.
There was even a game between the really top elite players ruined by lack of empowered so that's not an isolated case.
Levelling up is like a mini-game in itself... Many times it can turn out relatively ok, but on some rare occasions, you'll be screwed over. [still overall, I wouldn't say the probabilities are that messed up even tho this will happen to every non-cheating player some time!.]
& skill/perk choices after mentoring often differ if one does something in between using the mentor like buy some creatures or end turn or choose different re-skilled choices...if you don't do anything in between mentoring, you tend to get exactly the same choice as the one before!

hmmm, is there any version of HOMM V which contains every content and campaign from HOMM V Vanilla, HoF, and ToTE?

You can dl the maps/campaigns of the former two in tote afaik. Don't remember where though.

finally, the hour is over.
Hello. I have a question. After a long, long time, I suddenly had the thirst to play Heroes V again. After digging around, I found my Homm5 CDs. (yay!)
I am sorry to ask this, but was it not possible to set the AI towns when creating a new game?
I generated a few maps, and tried out "random towns on/off" - and it did not work. I don't know if my brain is playing games with me but I could have sworn it was possible to set which towns the AI has.
I had the urge to play a map with some 2 necros vs 2 inferno but hmm.
Did I do something wrong or did I simply forget something?
Sorry for the noob question.

If not just put another town under the AI's colour where his generated towns are.

Are you referring to the map editor?
I still have to get a hang of it as it gives me a few error comments when saving files. I have to check out the map editor FAQ/manual.

Cast the spell before moving the Hero. If you can, wait till your near a well to get back the spent Mana.

my other problem is i'm downloading multiplayer maps and i will place them to C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Heroes of Might and Magic V\maps
but maps doesn't show up when i try to host
note: i can see the maps if i want to create custom game

Single player maps do not show in the multiplayer maps, have you checked it? There should be a way to hide or show single maps or the opposite, I forget where exactly.
