I guess, since you spent extra money on a Gold Edition...

Glad to hear it.

Which normal campaign?

Yes it is, the RAM requirements for TotE are far larger than normal, but they only seem to affect the main menu.

actually gold edition is not extra money
it's like 50$
instead of buying TOTE and then HOF, it will cost more then gold and you won't get bonuses..
anyway,
the problems are solved
but are there any patches that i need for TOTE or HOF?

Just 2.1 for HoF, the next patch for both expansions are supposed to be released 'soon'. Maybe.

Check here, as for fortress you must press the down arrow key so the camera dives towards the lava. From that point you can rotate the screen normally.

Of course, it's in the game directory. I think it's called Editor Documentation.

What happened to "the last question"? Anyway the answer is no, you'll have to put up with the red. It just means you're selecting the object, nothing serious...

Really noob questions
sorry for bein less resourceful this time. the guide itself is quite long and it really takes sometime to master the aspect of the game unlike the RTS games out there
thanks anyways for answering these noob questions in the future
1. what are taverns for? do i really need an extra hero or should i stick to one? (i noticed that when you lost or flee on the battle your hero is gone, dont they revive?)
2. what does forts do?
3. what it is about "growth chart"?

1. You can check enemy(best hero, etc.) Hire a new hero to scout and give his army to your main, get tips fro the bartender.
2: the fort makes a wall in your town. If you upgrade it to citadel/castle the growth of creatures is larger. And your wall is harder to destroy, plus you get arrow towers
3:Growth chart is how many creature that respawn in the dwelling each week

Taverns also provide a morale boosts for most towns. Most people like to have a 'chain' of heroes that will be able to keep their main supplied in troops. Also the same chain can help protect against an assult on your town by sending the troops back along the chain to the barracks of the town. A fort supplies walls to help reduce ranged damage. Not sure about extra troops, been awhile since I paid attention.
As for growth chart, I'm not sure what you are asking. I know different creatures produce at a differnt rate. Or are you talking about an exp growth chart?

So what if i lost or flee in a battle, do i totally lost my original hero? So does "hiring" a new hero just mean "switching" him for the moment?
@mythical
as "guarder" replied to the second question, upgrading to citadel make creature growth bigger, meaning more creature's available for the week? Thats what im trying to ask about growth chart and the last row where it states "Total Upgd. [faction]". What is this about.

Hero defeat:
1. Playing the campaign, if you lose a battle with 1 of your story heroes, you automatically lose the game.
2. If you lose a minor hero, you can rehire him at the tavern. But if you don't hire him within the same week, you may lose him for good because the tavern hiring list refreshes each Monday. Also the enemy may hire him first and snatch him from you that way.

If I'm not mistaken, you can't rehire him when you're completely wiped out, but only when you flee or surrender.
@cheesecake (ur username makes me hungry): yes, the level stats and skills are retained, that's why you need to make sure it won't get snatched by your opponent. On the contrary, when you defeat enemy hero, you'd expect to see him in your tavern for your advantage. Duel mode is for multiplayer game without a map, no adventure, just a single battle for you and your friend.

What Duncan says is true; so if you defeat a powerful enemy Hero that is not rehired by the enemy, keep an eye on your Tavern. I've noticed that high(er) level Heroes have a bigger chance to appear in the Tavern than random level 1 Heroes who haven't been used yet. Could also of course just be me .
The first two Heroes you hire in a week will have a standard complement of starting troops (unless the Hero you hire is one that surrendered in battle, in that case he will have the troops that he surrendered with; a Hero who fled from battle will appear with 1 Tier 1 creature). All subsequent Heroes during that week will only have 1 Tier 1 creature.
The Fort adds a keep, which is the central tower of your defenses during a castle siege. Furthermore, it increases base creature growth by 50%. The Castle adds two arrow towers (along with the forementioned keep). These two towers need to be destroyed first before the enemy can destroy the keep. The keep does slightly more damage than the two individual arrow towers and has slightly more hitpoints too, if I am right. The Castle doubles base creature growth. Damage from the arrow towers and the keep are furthermore dependent on the overall level of your town. The higher the level, the higher the damage.
