Problem is the different versions of the patches are only compattible with the proper versions of the game. I seem to recall reading that australian gamers had to use the EU patch, but I'm not POSITIVE about that - but if you download one, and it tells you you need to have the game installed, then you probably need the other.

Definitely. You get some nice new changes the most important of which the dwarven changed resource costs, the new necromancy and training but also a better random map generator and some missing victory animations of the units Also now you'll be able to use dwarven heroes on old maps whereas the original hof was bugged and had them disabled.

That would be 2.1. Hopefully 2.2 should be out soon but one can only guess.

Short Question (Couldn't find it in the manual)
The Marksman Precice Shot can be devastating.
How much extra damage is dealt?
And is it more damage the closer the marksman stack is to the target, or is it the same as long as it is within 3 squares?

Same within any of the three tiles distance. And it negates enemy defence, it doesn't add damage on its own. Truly devastating for knights

Hey all, I've got a question regarding multiplayer stability that I can't seem to find answers to anywhere else, so I come, hat in hand, here to seek an answer from one our wise and caring moderators.
In a recent game, I've been playing with two other opponents and we've had some real issues through ubi.com, and I'm curious to know if there's a fix for any of this, or maybe a way we can edit save game files. Anyway, here is a list of the bug/stability issues we've been having:
1. We've been using ghosts and one of the ghost fights caused some sort of bug that dumped us back to the desktop repeatedly. I'm not sure why, but it could be that there were multiple dispel attempts and multple ghosts fighting over the same hero.... Not sure. Any help with stablizing ghosts, or any knowledge in this area would be great!
2. During play, the host of our game (and running the red faction) got a strange message that he had lost connection, however he was able to keep playing as though nothing had happened. So, figuring it was a *your Booted* mistake, we played on for another four or five turns. Later, when we tried to reload the game, he got pop up saying 'You are now playing as *his user name*. That game is not available.' (or something like that). If there's a way we can tinker with save game files to alter it and play from where we left off, that would be great.
3. Is there a way to prevent the game from automatically deleting a player from the game who is booted, so they can log back in during play? This would be especially nice, because that way, instead of shutting down, going back to the channels and reloading the whole thing, the booted player could just jump right back in. As it is, the multiplayer stability issues are really hampering our game.
4. Just a simple... has anyone else had any stability issues in multiplayer, and how in the heck can they be solved? We've been having a blast, but constant stability problems are really getting annoying.

Ahh - enlightening Thanks Elvin. That explains why they do so #%&¤!! much damage to level 7 creatures! Teleporting them in front of a huge stack - when blessed is a really party crasher for the enemy
