Does anybody know which regions are controlled by which factions, respectively? I'm looking for a free spot, preferably an island area. What about those islands in between the Griffin Empire and Palaedra.

That map is not canonical. It was an early design that ubi did not use.

I can't believe how hard it is to find one  .
Skele has a nice big picture of it in his Free Cities faction for ICTC, except his is marked to show where the Free Cities traveled to. I HCM'd him to see if he can give me a link to a blank copy.

I have one question: does Detain Destruction or Distract work when a Ranger uses Imbue Arrow + normal Attack or Rain of Arrows?

I think not because technically the hero isn't casting, he is performing a melee move.

Thanks Elvin, and another question: does magic resistance work with Fear My Roar or Horde's Anger? What about magic protection for the latter? I want to know if it's almost useless to take Magic Resistance against barbarians or not.

I think there is no protection from that. You only get a resisted sign if it fails but that's not from magic resistance, it's a matter of total hp. Besides it can hurt blackies so..
