That's right! I played Necro a lot since tha last patch, and I find it great. Still there are some boring bugs with Raising troops though. When you have defeated a hero with 7 units, you must take all or nothing from the slots, and can't split the stacks. And what's with "Lord of the Undead" - Enlightenment ability. Does it still only contributes with 5% and no DE points??
Still the necromancy isn't the strongest card; I still think the shrine contributes a lot since you can concentrate huge stacks of undead.

You can still split after taking a hero with 7 units. You just have to take all of 1 unit and can split the rest. I haven't seen this as a problem because I don't want some of all there troops, I want all of the best conversions and none of the bad conversions.

Lord of Undead is pretty pointless now contributing only to necromancy and not to DE (I have heard, not tested). Nival really needs to fix that, it just doesn't make sense.

The thread is called: The New Necromancer.
Anyways it's similar to MMR. Now that MOTN is so quickly attainable, the Necro uses it to keep it's mana going. My prevoius post also has details on building order and troop raising plus much, much more. Read, enjoy, tell your friends.

Try playinga new Necromancer sometime and you may change your mind. Just like most people did with academy.

Have you used the strategy I've posted. If not, you don't know what you're talking about. It's not just the faction that matters, its the strategy.

And new necro would be good if the DE thing worked in a user-friendly way(f.eg unused DE stack or sth).

dial up works online. I played my first online game today with no hang-ups. And, the new necro won! 1 very early point in favor of the new necro strategy.

Even if the Necropolis is underpowered it still rules!!!!!
Besides the Necropolis demands a tactical player and especially good skills for the hero.
It's a strange mixe of pathetic and amazing creatures
Plus "In death the best things are free" (quoting Kudur from the Refugee scenario)
