The only notable thing about it is that the spectral comes in the battlefield flying - no special summoning. Did you expect a fancy ritual animation?
Prepare to be overwhelmed! (Not really)

Quote: "Avatar Of Death
The Hero can summon a mysterious creature upon the battlefield to fight on his side. The creature's power depends on the Hero's level. If this creature dies, the Hero will lose all his Mana points."
Anyone have any ideas what this mysterious creature is?
Since you're wondering:
1. this info is in the brand new 3.0 manual
http://www.heroesofmightandmagic.com/heroes5/game_manuals.shtml
2. because I did not add it on AoH, and at some point I should, here's the excerpt:
The Avatar of Death looks like a Spectral Dragon, but is considered a tier 8 creature. Summoning it costs 2*Hero_Level Mana. If it dies in combat, it can't be summoned for the next two days and the hero loses all his Mana. The Avatar of Death stats depends on the caster:
* Attack = 8 + 2*Level
* Defense = 8 + 2*Level
* Damage = (5*Level + 7*Power) - (7*Level + 10*Power)
* Health = 100 + 20*Level + 10*Power + 20*Knowledge
* Initiative = 10+floor(Level/5)
* Speed = 6
In addition, the Avatar of Death gains abilities depending on the hero's level:
* Level 1: Undead, Flyer, Large Creature
* Level 8: Cursing Attack
* Level 11: Incorporeal
* Level 13: Death Stare
* Level 16: Sorrow Strike
* Level 21: Life Drain
* Level 27: Deadly Strike
Hope it clears the thing up.
Since you're in the sharing mood...care to reveal Zehir's special ability? I've heard somewhat of what it does, but I'd love a more precice description.

Actually no they worship Elrath in DM, in one of the mission you must enter in the temple of Elarth and clean your soul...

Free cities worship the Lord of Air mostly, but Elrathism ain't banned either (because the Griffins would happily slaughter theme for that).
Also, there are no Priests and Paladins in DM or anything else connected with Elrath besides Cleansing your soul.
Also, it is logical that you put a half-demon in human enviorment where is a small chance that his demon soul shall be discovered. In Imperial lands he would be easily found by Inquisitors and in wizards lands the chance ain't smaller. Free cities that ain't fanaticaly interested in slaying demons and that ain't so experienced in magic are a perfect place for Sareth.

I doubt it's about fear, the Griffin Empire would remain an enemy regardless and they certainly would not be so foolish to send army for such a reason. Regardless one church proves nothing, you put too much faith in a game

There are more then one reason why I think that Elrathism ain't official religion (I edited my last post while you were replying) and I don't have a mad wish to write an article here.

Ummm...no. Not THAT ability. I mean the special one he has for the campaign. As notable as Arantir's in fact.

awesome expansion , though it seems like there is some bugs to patch. Just played as the dwarf faction, and i was impressed by the usefullness of some units, like the harpooner, who dragged serval enemy units into my dragons range XD.
only dissapointing dwarven unit was the whitebear rider, who's special NEVER triggered
and for those who has fallen in love whit the untaimed cyclop,enjoy the picture below

Calm down a bit, most of us haven't even finished the Necropolis campaign. I'll look in the data files for you if you'd really like to know though.
I don't see how it could do so personally since TotE is a prelude to DM. Maybe it would answer a few things like how Arantir ends up around Stonehelm and such but nothing too substantial, I'd guess. Most players are more familiar with this game, it's not like everybody's played Dark Messiah.

Interesting how the AI knows your loss conditions. Although it would make every sense to stay and guard its town from Arantir with full army it will charge to attack Ornella that it can defeat. Which is annoying considering haven has stables, you can never be safe
