That would be Wulf, whom you used in the previous map. If you did not work him up a bit, and change his skills at the memory mentor in front of the first town, it is hard. You also probably should stop him on his way (you have to be quick, select him when he first appears and click on somewhere other then the inferno castle quickly and multiple times) to make sure he has a good artifact combo. For him it seems to be best to make sure he has the dwarven artifacts before ending the previous map.
Just to warn you, you have to go through Freyda and Kujin fighting as well. So make sure their artifacts/skills are as best you can get them. Or for Kujin, just stop her and Gotai and give her the 900 cyclops and just go all out and destroy everything . You can dismiss the goblins, centaurs, and warriors and split them so that even if puppeted and frenzied you will still have enough to destroy the town if you want).

Nah, his runes and expert light should be enough to get him out of this. He even starts with divine vengeance though I hope you got a few mass buffs.

I wouldn't think so. I had neglected Wulfstan as well but was not that hard to win, only problem may be if you used Duncan as your main instead of Freyda. I had not even learnt light spells, her special can win the battle if you are close in level with the opponent. As for Ylaya or Kujin you should not have much trouble.

I was wondering would this combo work for runemage (Brand,all skills are expert)
Logistic'sathfinding,Scouting and Teleport Assault
Warmachine's:ballista,triple ballista,runic machine's (not sure should _I change to first aid)
Attack:Battle Frenzy,Archery,Flaming Arrow's
Dark Magic:Master of Mind,Master of Curse's,Seal of Darkness (am against a necromancer so this may come handy)
Ligth Magic (not sure about this one):
Master of Abjuration,Master of Blessing's,Master of Wrath
racial:Greater Rune,Refined Rune (Brand has Fine Rune by default)
I migth also get Ultimate Runelore.

Against a necromancer you should definitely have light magic and especially eternal light. If he puppets your units he'll be able to use your runes so you should hope to get cleansing or magical immunity. Another good dark counter is dwarven luck and luck is already a must skill for dwarves.

I think you can go for light magic only as a runemage...just like elvin said.
dark magic is good for a wizard to counter necromance but this is not applied to runemages,they are not good at dark magic at all...

If they find the rights spells I don't see why not but against necro you'll end up both cursing each other and have no counters frenzy or puppet or be able to use them yourself. Only if you get Sandro's cloak to bypass their mind immunity.

I would go:
Expert Light: M of Wrath, M of Abjuration, Eternal Light (counter to mass slow, and with cleansing for his puppet)
Expert Leadership: Runic Attunement, Diplomacy, Empathy (for fast casting and high morale)
Expert Enlightment: Scholar, Arcane Exaltation
Expert Attack: Tactics, offensive formation, Retribution

Black for me, seems to trigger more often and many units are immune to fear effects.

I don't know what skills to have in RuneMage but if you are a knight that don't want to have unstoppable charge I had chosen
Expert Attack
Expert Defence
Expert Luck
Expert Leaderchip
Expert Warmachine
With the abilities in those 5 that are the best for YOU

yes..it is not good to fight without any magic..Depend on the oppenent you fight you can chose ATT/DEF.if you fight against a magic faction. DEF is unnecessary while agaisnt INF/SYL DEF is what you need! Leadership will perform good with light magic and Logistic is also worthwhile
to evlin: this is just I worried about, runemage seldom get dark magic in their own guild and there are only five skills you can chose(actually, in most case you could only take 3-4 skill and some of their perks)..so you must decide which one that you should give up

Heck, I never knew this!! I had the impression those heroes couldn't be stopped for some rearrangement! Boy I sure miss those 900 Cyclops

change luck for light
guardian angel, mass light, and the spells are crucial
also warmachine with logistics
being able to move on a map is really important

only five skills make it really difficult to decide. I mean, often it is whatever comes first, but there is always room for doubt. my favourite faction is haven, i tend to play with vitorrio and
warmachines
attack
light
leadership
luck / defense / logistics?
please feel free to tell me your opionion about the last one. i think i would generally pick luck because haven is might orientated and doubling the damage is quite efective. luck also comes with magic resistance and, if no other choice when levelling, soldier's luck. on the other hand, perhaps defense is the reasonable choice against other might factions like inferno and sylvan (to an extend, you know what i mean. the combination of warmachines and attack is obligatory, leadership is nice if you can get elation or diplomacy

IMO,depends on the map that you play,yes warmachine is nice for a rush but would become useless in the late game,so if you are intend to a long game you could probably drop the warmachine skill.in other words, it is should not be a necessary skill in your list
and yes..defence is badly needed when you play agaisnt slyvan and infero,leadership is not that importent because there are plenty of artifacts that cann increase your moral.on the contrary,i suggest that take logistic as soon as possible, it would give you an advantage in the strategy.
emm..sometime..dark magic is good for fighting against infer,necro and barbarian..they have nothing to deal with the dark magi.usually

all I want to say is that the orc creatures are good while they are on your hero, but when you meet them on the map they are an easy target. Of course cyclops and wyverns are excluded. They are a hard nut to crack.

I got question about necro skills.Am gonna try use other than my normal strategy and was wonderin is this good?all skills are expert,(am against haven btw)
Expert necromancy.Eternal servitude.Mark of necromancer.
Enligthment-intelletenge-arcane intitution-graduate
Logistic's-scouting-swift mind-pathfinding
Defence-protection-evasion-resistance
Attack-Tatic's-Frenzy-Archery
Dark magic-master of pain-master of mind-corrupt soil
now I was wondering should I take defence at all?
