Story-wise I think not but it gets some nice additions such as the enemies' hp bar. Basically an improved remake.

which is only gonna be launched for xbox 360? Or other machines, like normal computers ?  Else im a bit irritated, I really liked the game and they could just make a nasty patch for it

They add four extra levels too, so its obviously improved story a bit. Im guessing a boat level, two levels within which you get from the spider temple to stonehelm, and one after you beat the game. It also features a mode where random creatures keep spawning i think (which i think is sort of nice)

Recently I continued my second run through the game(been months since I had left it ) this time as a wizard and am close to finishing. Two comments:
Staffs are awesome! Just knock over the enemy and land a finishing blow which is instant death with staff of firelord. Ok maybe not instant against liches but you can keep pounding them and not let them get up 
I feel an idiot for overlooking a spell like charm. It made my game so much easier in the last stages, just charm a monster, have it fight its friends and when it dies just charm another to continue. While waiting in the distance  As they say, a job is never to hard as long as you have someone else do it for you.
As a minor *SPOILER*
I tried rescuing Leanna and eventually killed her myself  Xana revealed that she was the last of the Falcon line that the prophecy spoke off and would mean the end of humans. Some prophecy if I decide to seal the Sovereign In any case I later met her as a lich, probably raised by Arantir. That was creepy...

My brother swears the lich is better then the giant spider, I say the opposite. Ive never heard Xana say that prophecy but i sort of doubt it, To be honest im guessing its about the dozenth time they thought they were extinguishing the last falcon heir, Prophecies seem fickle, and theirs probably some hidden orphan boy somewhere thats also the heir of the falcon empire or something lol.

In the begining of the game, you hear the Dark Messiah prophecy. They say something like:
Last doughter of a forlorn line
Shall guide him into history
Beneath the crypt prophesies clash
The war of acient enemies

Finally some news!
Fabrice gave an interview at the new "sfidanzized"(as Angelspit calls it ) heroes-fr.com. The original article is here but there is also an English translation., thanks for Celestial Heavens for bringing this to my attention
Now a few interesting parts:
*By the end of 2007, TotE already reached HoF in terms of sales. That definitely shows there will be more, apparently it was quite profitable.
*Ubi has no plans to stop working with Nival or buy them
*The current patch plan is not finished yet. On the bright side, it also allows us to better include fan feedback, since the community rose some issues that we didn't plan to address at first. Whew.
*The support plan for balance and debug is supposed to last beyond 2008 if necessary.
*There are no plans to update the map editor.
*There will be allied maps released in a future patch.

quite interesting,too bad they arent planning to improve map editor tho  .i got other question regarding demon lord skills (and when ppl call inferno "weak").
would these skills be good?also i calculated that with all gating skills,gating specialization,swarm gate and urgash call ill get 3x more gated units.

If you had tend instead of tremors and swarming gate instead of dead man's luck it would be ideal.
