Looking forward to it  I'll try a bit the alternatives in question and the TA chances and post back tomorrow.
Edit: Lol I need to get some sleep. You can't have swift mind and teleport assault. Anyway tried it and TA is damn hard to get though swift gating is easy.

Hmm... Elvin covered those Fortress alts. nicely. I love the Harpooner and White bear. The fear is great, when it tricker, that is. Harpooner is just a nice litte guy, since fortress sucks at reaching things... But I still can't figure out: Thunder thane? Flame Lord?

I think I'd choose the Thunder Thane. Taking into consideration both creature's miserable attack ratings, I think it's better to damage all enemies around with this modified chain lightning ability than to wait for the flame wave to trigger. And, I am not confident I like the sound of "...has a CHANCE to produce a RANDOM..." And, the Thunder Thane has 25 health more than the other guy (and 10 t0 11 initiative for that matter).

for me choice between these two guys depends totally if i have luck flamelords have bigger dmg amd their spec is useful,but you need soldier's luck so if i have soldier's luck then i use flame lords if i dont then thunder thanes

I tried the new bears with soldier's luck and they even scared 8 untamed cyclopses when they were below 10  Most of their attacks sent the barbarian's units running

What? You don't like things that only have a CHANCE of triggering?
For me, it depends on my build. Thunder Thane is a bit stronger but I pick Flame Lord if I'm building an Armageddonist.

i pick flamelrods because theyre utterly more cool.
Still the cinematic camera means you cant see it at times.

I enjoy both, but I can't figure the math of thunderthane, the special makes me confused... They have so low dmg but how much does their Lightning special count?

Just think that lightning does exactly as much as their damage indicates and their normal damage is double that. If you put it down the total damage is not much lower than a flamelord's.

Well... I'm actully playing UT2004 . Not that I don't want to play Heroes anymore, I just don't feel like it... The game has a bad durability and I need new maps to win...

Of course, why would I post the link? You can pick Tote only maps by going to H5 maps and selecting version but other maps should play anyway.
