I think he did some god stuff with some nasty devil magic..  but Elvins thought is also pretty... interresting

Since it took like ten seconds from pregnancy to birth, I guess the sovereign didn't had to do really much, like droping some demon blood on her, and there comes little Sareth flushing out, faster than a microwave

By the time the heroes reached him hours had passed. That baby did come out faster than most

Actually, how fast it went depends on how long the travel to and through Sheogh lasted remember in HoMM one turn is one they, between Map 4 and 5 they probably had to travel through Sheogh first maybe that lasted 9 months I don't know how big Sheogh is and where they entered, but.....

Yes but the fights that took place were with really big armies. Plus you could not fight the sovereign on the first turn.

But we can be sure that it didn't took 9 months, i.e. has to be magic. Doesn't really matter if it took 10 seconds or a couple of days.

So you guys assume that demonic conception and birth have to take 9 months, just like normal conception and birth.
And heck, perhaps children take only hours from conception till birth in Ashan. I haven't seen any evidence from the world of Ashan to indicate otherwise.

For us players it taked some minutes to fight throught to Sovereign palace, but in realtime it must have taken some hours for the heroes.

A while back I finished the Tieru map from TOTE: Tieru goes around and takes a bunch of cities/slays enemy heroes. At first they are on the land, but after that they are underground. Lastly Tieru battles the Sea Elves.
A cutscene plays. Tieru's faithful servant/captain/soldier/second in command person turns out to be a Devil in disguise. He has been seeding rumors that Tieru is mentally unstable, seeing Demons everywhere. Tieru becomes an outcast, but eventually joins the Dragon Knights. But that's another story. (which we don't get to hear, grr arg)

Personally I found easier to deal with that the sea elves and then the warlocks.

Don't know if it was mentioned here, but I saw something about Hangvul. There was an interesting story about him losing his eye and hand. If you play the Dungeon scenario and watch the opening, you will find that the Dwarves have "stolen" two things from the Dark Elves. At the end of the scenario, Agbeth steals two things from Hangvul.
I must admit...that was one of the moments that makes me realize why the game isn't rated E for Everyone.

It seems that everyone is a demon in disguise these days. Last time I checked, that's not very popular.

I wonder if the sea elves(mariners) worship Sylanna or Shalassa; or if they turn out to be transformed into naga in homm6 (now I know I've seen that somewhere else)
