I agree with TitaniumAlloy. Heroes 3 would be better suited. HoMM V, if ported to the DS, would be a lesser version because of the DS's capabilities. But HoMM III could be an enhanced remake of the original, being much more interesting than just a port of HoMM V with minus some features.

H2 could also be a good port because there is so much glitzy detail in the maps of H3 that would either need to be taken out or would be lost in the down-size anyway as they would complicate the small screen.
Alot simpler.
Wouldn't sell though. You need a certain level of graphics for people to buy it, unless they already know it's a good game and Heroes II doesn't have a big enough fan base for that.
So Heroes III still seems like the best option.
While I don't think that any of this will actually amount to anything, I think that an entire newly constructed game is alot less likely than a port.

Quote: The extra map editor and town editor cartridges, while a nice idea, would be hard to use on a handheld and wouldn't really be cost-effective IMO.
Why would it be hard to use? I mean, just making a DS version of H3 is a lack of creativity. Make the first DS to GB ingame hook-up would make H3DS unique and, well, awesome.

[whisper] quite a few ds games use that feature to name a few.
pokemon mystery dungeon (it sucks so bad it deserves to be burned)
advance ward dual strike(the originals give two extra maps.
however it would indeed be the first game to fully utilize the gb cartridge .[/whisper]

The line was the Pacific Ocean, Xarfax, you've crossed into Japan. Please do not keep reviving this thread for insults or the like. It just shows how immature you are. We can hope for a lot of things that aren't likely to happen. Its called "wanting" something. And, I think that you should think about people's reactions before you post them. Please, Xarfax, don't keep the insults coming. As I've heard someone say, "Its nice to be nice". If you don't think this subject is going to happen, fine. You've voiced your opinion. Now, leave us to our rantings, please and thank you for your courtesy .

Erm, you posted twice there, Isabelyes.
Now that mister "I want this thread dead" has gone, we can beat overwhelming odds by ourselves. I think its funny that he thought he actually could insult me . So, I was mulling over some things, and I thought from what I've seen, the DS has expanding capability. In fact, I believe it to be able to handle sub-Heroes V graphics (not conformed but not 2-D). Plus the gameboy cartridge adds map, hero, and creature editors. I was also thinking that mods could be sent via Wi-Fi that improves the game (since the editor allows such diversity). Alongside that, I think the gameplay would be extremely significant in making a fine addition to Age of Heroes. It means Heroes 3 gets a bigger page.
On that note, I still don't believe it is yet time to remake Heroes 3. I believe that the Ashan-based faction system works best. No offense intended to Heroes 3. But, taking Heroes 3 line-up and story and making a more re-vamped system will make for an impressive game. Worth taking some of my savings to get.
Any thoughts?
PS- Hope your homework doesn't keep you too hung up Isabelyes .

Actually, I think the DS can handle more than that! Those look rather 2-D is, so kinda of a more prominent 3-d presence would look acceptable.

the problem is the resolution.
the screen has far too many pixels for the ds to handle.

Yes, and that is why all DS games have a slight "distorted" view of the game, because the resolution can't make the game sharp enough. Its roughly around 150X100, whereas most computers are 1064X800. Thats how games look crisp. The DS can cope with most of it, but some is just beyond its capabilities.
