I must say the Efreet sultans. Everything else you can beat one way or another. But those bastards will take their tolls regardles of how you beat them. The only way to deal with them is to shoot them from distance, but most of the times you cant rely on range units.

Tier 2: ???
Tier 3: Dargonflyes..... evil!
Tier 4: Crusaders or Vamp Lords
Tier 5: mighty gorgons
Tier 6: Cyclops...... high damage + siege power
Tier 7: Phonix when the reincarnation works O.o

Well what do you mean with the most annoying creatures, just good? Yeah the creatures you listed are all pretty decent and I gladly like them in my team.

But to me annoying means creatures that although might be good are just too irritating to use. Harpies or wights, anyone? The god damn animation is always so slow and annoying it pisses me off. Tho wights suck anyway but as a troop harpy hags are not too bad

Maybe u check out cranim.txt file...
Just download, extract and put it into your DATA folder. This file speeds up the animation of all creeps on the battlefield, which makes the game faster.

Peasants are innoyin hardly no exp for killen them and you cant even use necromancey to turn them into skeletons (unless you own them)

MaGogs are to because you destroy halve your own unit stacks with them unlike power liches. and normal archers.

apart from that there isnt anything i dislike most units have there uses (excluding inferno and stronghold units)

lvl 1:master gremlins!very annoying in early games.
lvl 2:storm elementals.these guys are close to lvl 4 creatures
lvl 3ragon flies.They always move first and weaken half of your army before you can attack.
lvl 4:vampire lords.immortal in large numbers.pffff...
lvl 5endroids.i just hate their root-binding special.it's so annoying!!!
lvl 6:efreet sultans.that fire shield...you know what i'm trying to say.
lvl 7:black dragons.you can't cast any spells on them,and fighting them hand-to-hand is no easy task either.

Phoenixes and dragon flies. Reincarnation is like a splinter in my ass. Dragonflies with their weakening bite really pisses off in long battles.  Golems are annoying during a siege,i always kill them last :\

I think there is a problem with people attacking stacks of high attack wild units with underpowered armies. It's kind of dumb.

Scariest units are IMO specialty unit combos used by good players. A number of people mentioned gorgons since their specialty makes them the strongest melee unit, cost-wise. The only way to deal with them is to cluster-bang starting with a stack of 1 unit to draw retaliation and/or shoot out.

However, you'd be cautious with this if playing vs human and the other player is waiting for the perfect time to teleport hydras in midst of your army around the gorgon. I've made the mistake of pulling defenders off of my heavy archer stack to cluster on the gorgon only to get 4 stacks counter-cluster-screwed by 1 stack of hydras.

As for fighting wild critters, all fast lv 7 s are scary. Unless of course, you have matching numbers in Vamp Lords or if your hero has advanced resurrection. Lv 5 Jeddite with Advanced Earth Magic/Advanced Intelligence made for a very perfect but very boring game =}

Efreet Sultan - f*@king fire shield
Phoenix - overpowered, numbers, speed
Golems - resists, won't die
Pit Lord - I kill a stack of imps, they raise demons

if you don't have ressurection and earth skill - it is only that prevent you from winning without losing creatures.

don't forget archangels.. and if you have only high hp troops, you can win battle without losses..

ontopic: marksmen and grand elves are annoying in early game..

Can we count arrow turrets as creatures since they're static and independent of castle type? I know Ballistics lets you control them but you're only ever going to have 3 turrets and the damage will never be particularly high.
