Hmm it's true that Necrons have very little diversity. But I thought that was kind of one of their trademarks.
Oh so you have the 5th Edition?? Sweet... I had to struggle endlessly wether I would buy it or not (I only wanted it for the supposely awesome background section) but then 50 euros were a bit too much for me so I think I'll settle for the collected artworks book for 30 pound. But what's the background section really like? "The time of the ending" isn't it? So far I've gathered that the Ultramarines are cut off because THE EMPERORRRS ability to let humas travel through the warp is fadeing ?! Something about the human race going down but not without a fight?! Malfunctions in the Golden Throne that the Adeptus Mechanicus can't solve?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUU!!! This is so scary . Humanity needs to unite once more! The Emperor shall rise once again (his son, reincarnation whatever but he can't die!!)!!

Heehe I've already seen it. But damnn you gotta love those cinematics. What I always think is funny is how they always try to keep a certain "balance" in such cinematics in order to not anger any fans of a particular faction so in a fight noone ever really wins. So I was surprised when that Elf pwned the Chaos Maruder so badly only to find the Chaos Lord summoning Tzeetch greater demon in the end.
Oh and you gotta love that Goblin .
EDIT: btw does anyone else think that that horn of the Chaos Lord is overdoing it? I mean it doesn't really looks stylish and Champions Tzeeth are THAT mutated.

Well, considering some of the more drastic mutations, I think it looks ok. I must admit I'm surprised they went with Tzeentch instead of the always dull Khorne. If Chaos is ever put in Dawn of War 2, I sure hope they pick a different god to follow.

Yeah... I mean even story wise Tzeeth is the much more interesting guy to follow all about greater shemes and plans etc. not just that BLOOOOD BLOOOD BLOOOOOOOOOD!! I mean it's funny the first two missions but after that it kinda boring.

That was the problem I had with Soulstorm. It's like they thought about changing Chaos, even giving a different legion, yet they still ended up with a bunch of Khornites running around with sorcerors.

That reminds me I still have the Chaos campaign to play. From all the command bonuses the Demon Ascension is probably the coolest.

Yeah. I wouldn't recommend it on hard though. Once the territories get past +7, it's a nightmare trying to expand.

Hmmm having the same problem with the Space Mariens on hard oO. The Tau base is a freakin pin in the behind to take oO. Eventhough it says that Broadsides are only effective against "Vehicles, Air and Buildings" the ammount of damage they do to my infrantry isn't exactly uneffective oO.

i also like the speech of the units. especially Orks.

TAU are somewhat awesome for me. an analog of Prottoss(except theres no energy blades  ) i ordered few miniatures (a fire warrior team and a XV88bradside battlesuit... waiting for them to arrive,hope itl be soon... i got my daemon hunters after three weeks (and i live in europe union...yeah right)

The flat-out most annoying of the campaigns on Hard has to be the Imperial Guard in my book. Trying to take map and hold it for 7 minutes with two armies breathing down your neck with a bunch of guardsmen is extremely difficult. Giving the need for units, it's nigh impossible to tech up properly before being crushed.

those missions when you got a number of soldiers and no base are the most challenging. in those maps,you need to use your head and not your muscle.

skirmish maps against a CPU controled oponents:
(i play with eldar on those maps)
3-4 Wraithlords + Avatar of Khaine is all i need to beat the oponents. of course this doesnt work when you play agaisnt people.
campaign is a whole different thing. there you need to use your head,but in original DoW(Space Marine campaign) i used several squads of SM troops(2x Heavy Bolters 1x Laser cannon 2x Rocket Launcher and hero) in first missions this was all it took to beat the Orks. then i got bored and went playing online.
