According to BETA's post his character is alone, and he is sneaking into the tower  The mean look still works after waking up, so I doubt he'll be able to go anywhere, the Gastly isn't called back after all.
The pkmn-center is what, not too far from the tower? I expect we'll be among the first ones to see what "the thing" is.

You are correct, Christian can't leave the area unless Gastly is recalled or knocked unconscious (or leaves the immediate area, which counts as being recalled).
Here's the map of Ternai Town:
Gray square: Market (and East exit)
Blue squares: Houses
Aqua splotches: Ponds
Triangle: Tower
Red square: Gym
White Square: Pokemon Center

Yeah I figured the white square was the center.
So BETA has to rewrite his post then? Or what? Since he's seemingly not left alone after all.

My impression is that he hasn't actually tried to go anywhere yet, he's just plotting to. And that we're within combat range doesn't necessarily mean we're within arm's length...we'd be easy enough to miss with just one eye.

Ah well, if I could I would've posted sooner ... but school blocked away everything not school-related, and it was the only alternative internet I had.
Time to get this goin again then.
Edit: How far can my character move away from BETA's character before the mean look wears off? Not really sure how that works, if I move Brona over to fight in the west it might leave Christian open for escape.

The other fights are out of range--Gastly can't join one of them without breaking Mean Look. On the bright side, they're out of range of the remnants of Safeguard too, so Jigglypuff can Sing.

((If we're to allocate EV's (if I've understood it right there's 1 EV per level):
Rhyhorn: attack +2
Growlithe: None since its knocked out? If it gets any, then +2 special attack.
Gastly: +2 special defense
Magby: +2 special attack, +2 speed))

Hmm since I probably won't use it much for Evan, lets go with dropping Tail Whip
As for the EV's I think I will put all but dittos into Hit points.
For Ditto half into Def, half into Special defense. Got to beef the little guy up a bit.
