I only played the handheld games. As such, I never had pokemons at a high enough level for the badges not to be sufficient. I wonder, does happiness indeed have an influence on the likelyness of high level pkmns to follow you and what are the factors actually for Helnith?
About the original ghost trio, it's quite funny, I remember when I used to watch the cartoon/anime, back when it had just been launched in my country. Gastly appeared before the other two, I recall an episode, where gastly showed an incredible amount of power! I actually don't remember the plot, I believe it's some kind of festival and the Gastly only comes out at night. It was able to create these extremely powerful illusions, except the illusions actually could interact with real physical objects, not really making them illusions. It made a combination of Venusaur and Blastoise! Man I was dissapointed they never seemed to pull of anything of that level ever again.
In any case, not only was this Gastly incredible awesome, it was one of the things that really hooked me on this whole franchine back then.
In a later episode, Ash and friends are seeking out ghosts to battle Sabrina, the psycho gym leader. There we see the entire ghost trio and I honestly thought Gastly was the coolest. I don't know if it's because its amazing display of power in the previous episode just described, or if I really do find it looking more impressive.
When Ash ended up with Haunter, I got to the conclusion the evolutionary line would look like this:
Haunter->Gengar->Gastly
What was further spooky about that episode is that Ash actually dies, I believe, yet I recall the ghosts are able to resurrect him!
I was really looking forward to the awesome figth between the invincible Kadabra (seriously that pokemon scared me, just a thought and it had already destroyed all that opposed it!!?) versus one of those extremely strong ghost pokemons! That would be epic, wouldn't it? Well it would... not. Seriously, it was so so dissapointing! After that incident, I never had anything to do with pokemon again.
I also think there was an episode with a gigantic Gengar, fighting a gigantic Alakazam, but both ending up falling asleep to a gigantic Jigglypuff. All 3 pokemons had marks all over them, which I think they explained with the Jigglypuff drawing those marks, yet that really did not explain how come the Jigglypuff had those marks as well.
In retrospect, Ash might have had his butt handled to him by some incredible mighty pokemons, but he's actually met stuff of much higher power than Mewtwo, etc.
Seriously, mewtwo would have gotten his butt kicked by that Gastly, which didn't like the sun and could make crazy illusions which weren't really illsusions!

Link stone. That's the stone to evolve pokemon like with trading right? No I won't object to it. In my opinion, the first who needs should get the given item, unless we have a way to duplicate.

I said I won't mind! As my opinion is obviously the only one that matters, give him the damn stone and if anyone minds, I'll owe them a link stone!!
Ohh that picture is just so adorable!

Quote: Kerry is a Bandra Officer who specializes in Psychic types. On top of that he’s a natural telepath—and a surprisingly powerful one. None of our agents have been able to get close to him for obvious reasons, but from the little we learned we know he’s capable of picking up certain kinds of psychic energy

I did not mean Zack does not name his pokemon at all, I meant that Zack does not name his new pokemon.
PS: I don't know what to write.

I think I figured out a better way to balance Stealth Rock and some of the other moves that affect the field rather than a target or several targets (Light Screen, Safeguard, etc…).
It has complete coverage on the number of Pokemon equal to the user’s level/5, as with moves like Sing. It lasts for as long as it usually would, but if there are more Pokemon out on the field than would be affected, there’s only a % chance they’ll be affected by it. Also, you can use the move successively to cover more Pokemon.
For example if a level 25 Pokemon uses Stealth Rock, Stealth Rock will have perfect coverage on 5 Pokemon. If you then send out 10, each Pokemon has a 50% chance of being damaged on being sent out. If your opponent then uses the move again up to 10 Pokemon will be affected 100% of the time, then 15 if they use it again, etc.
Thoughts and observations?

Presently it just covers EVERYONE on the affected side, no numerical limit. If you've got suggestions to balance it better, by all means speak up.

A suggestion, even if maybe not a better one. Do the level/5, but put a 'cap' on it. Let's say 10? So a level 50 creature would max out how many they could affect?

I'll be gone for a couple of weeks. You're welcome to with Zack as you please. His goals are still the same, catching the listed pokemons, breeding the required pokemons to obtain the needed moves, digging for evolutionay stones, helping getting rid of Bandra, building his own training facility and become a gym leader, etc.
