Brona shrugged. "I guess most of us need our Pokemon healed anyway. I mean, 5 miles isn't even an hour walk if we keep a fast pace. If we are to meet better bandra goons later on I'd prefer having mine healed at least, I guess most of you would agree with me."

"hmm" Zack says, trying to think. "If anyone of you guys have teleport maybe we can use that at least for a one way quick transport, but we still have to travel all the way back."
Thinking up a joke Zack says "Too bad we don't know what defines and thereby activates the teleport to a pokemon center ability, then we could just set up our own pokemon center and teleport back and forward quickly, haha "

“I told you, ((or would have if you’d asked after the fight with the hunters instead of just thinking it, instead it just happened in the glossed-over bit  )) I don’t know what the limits on Natu’s Teleport are. We could just as easily end up warping in a random direction or buried up to our necks in solid rock. But fine. We’ll try it,” Mina grumbled, picking the Great Ball off her belt and calling out her little bird. She crouched down so as to be closer to eye level to him.
“Natu, there’s a Pokemon Center about five miles that way” Mina gestured in what she hoped was the right direction. “Can you take us there?”
He looked a little puzzled, then chattered something in Pokespeak at her.
“Is that a yes or a no?”
Natu shook his beak back and forth in a ‘no.’
“Okay,” Mina leaned back thoughtfully, considering. “What about Ternai Town, can you take us back there?” It would be a little farther out of their way, but presumably if he could get them there, he could get them back…
Natu trilled louder, shook his beak ‘no’ again.
“When I asked you back at the ruins, you told me you could Teleport back there,” Mina answered, voice containing some heat now.
The little bird trilled protestingly this time; fluffing his feathers he hopped up to Mina’s shoulder and proceeded to try and bury himself against her neck, the Pokespeak getting steadily louder and more pointed—he sounded almost as frustrated as she did. Mina could tell he was trying to explain something but was still in the dark as to what; Natu seemed to have figured this out as he abruptly went quiet and looked sullen. Mina sighed.
This must be why non-psychics don’t usually train Psychic Pokemon.
((Teleport doesn’t work like that in this game. And even if it did, the videogame version takes you to the last Pokemon Center visited, NOT the nearest one, which means we’d be taken to Ternai Town and get to walk the whole twenty-four nineteen miles just to get back to where we are now.  Did you HONESTLY think I was going to let it be that easy for you to just warp to free healing whenever you like?

Natu trilled a response to Brona, still audibly frustrated but with a bit of a lecturing overtone—Mina was put in mind of one of her old teachers trying to correct a classmate. It still made little to no sense to her however, and after a few seconds Mina gave up trying to decipher it and answered Misty instead—promising herself she’d play Twenty Questions with him next chance she got.
Mina stood back up. “Whatever we do we should probably hide this lot while we’ve got the chance; if we’re lucky their replacements will think they deserted.” Part of her was glad it was so dark; it made it more likely the next batch of sentries would miss the signs of battle. “And I agree with Zack we ought to try and avoid more trouble if we can; too many more run-ins like this and we could end up with the whole of Team Bandra after us.”

Mina helped out as best she could; the group soon had all three sleeping Grunts stashed behind an outcropping out of sight. The Johto trainer dusted off her hands wearily before speaking.
“Now, are we going to push forward or try and make our way to the Center?” she asked. She didn’t add that they were running out of time before the next patrol came in; that much she felt went without saying.

Misty agrees. "Lets go to the Center. While there I would like to pause a bit to mix two of my berries. If I can get Feebas to evolve, we will have another water type pokemon for all the Gravelers and such we face."

Main Group:
The group eventually decides to move forward, and sneaks from the scene of the battle.
Mina keeps Houndour and Natu out for the time being; the former to keep an eye and nose out for trouble, the latter on the off chance he might pick up signs of Bandra psychically or they would need him for an emergency Teleport.
The journey is quieter than before except for a near-encounter with the sentries’ replacements father down the path. Fortunately the Grunts still consider themselves to be in ‘safe’ territory (not realizing the perimeter has been breached) and are chatting loudly enough for the group to hear them and take cover before they come into sight. They pass by without incident.
About a mile and a half of travel after the fight with the Bandra sentries, the group comes into sight of a small cabin. Brona recognizes the fisherman’s dwelling ((remember him?)), although the place has obviously been ransacked—the doors are open, a few windows have been smashed, and no lights are visible inside. The trail continues roughly southwest past it. From here, the group can hear the occasional echo of human voices further on.

Stacey crouches down, and moves as fast as she can to the side of the house. She makes her way to a point almost beneath one of the broken windows, trying to hear if the voices are coming from within.
