Excellent question.
And my answer is just a theory:
the password event is just considered while winRAR running.
BUT:
Anyway, Radar provided the password at beta users.....it's cute, no? 
Then, my feeling about Radar and his mod is:
"If I don't finish my mod, nobody will be able to finish it"
....apart if this person has a beta tester and he remember of password and he wants to work to finish....
and he ask to me the permission..and if I want....and ....and...

Hmmm... I think it would be too simple that way. I guess someone would have done a program that uses these packages just like game or some other program that can read it even under password protection, and then extract it from the program.

protected-password has in the BETA 1...
and I don't know if it's still present in BETA 2...
You can go in threads given by Radar.
Anyway, I fed up to speak about it...It's not so important.
I would like to see this Mod a day....
I think Radar is a man who is able to make nice job.

I looked in this thread's main post, and in the links it has, and I couldn't find any download link except for a small "patch". There's no download link in the main posts, and I'm not too fond of searching the entire threads for it. So I was hoping someone else who knows where it is could link it to me.

That would suck.
Like 90% of all mods here become super popular when made but then when its like 10% more to do untill its finished the makers the quit and the unfinished mod is forgotten in the sands of time (yes, I just needed to be poetic!).

Yes the project is being continued.
The last beta is not available to download anymore and I don't feel like telling you why. And nothing I do with the mod is done without a purpose, try to understand. If I hadn't wanted everbody to test it by password protecting I wouldn't have put it to download at all, don't you think?

You have every right to do as you see best. I've modded my faction for some time now (started last month) and have seen how much there is to be done. Not to mention this is my first mod and I haven't browsed HoMM V file structure before. I believe you want to make a good quality mod and have no intention to make public release from versions like 0.1. At least this is how I think about my mod.
Only thing that matters is that you know what is best for the mod
I think we all have faith in you, and if you have to abandon this project for reason X, and don't want to publish "uncomplete version" we understand that as well.

I just put the question.
If we can create completly others classes for same faction, example: 2 classes per faction.
So, I imagine that could be really nice a completely new faction by the same manner.
By modifing the .exe
