No, my intention was not that at all.
It was clear from the start that these maps are just suggestions, and if the players agree they can choose any map they like. They can play on Genesis-Dark Realm, Twilight whatever.
I copied and pasted the rules here to show that there is a basis to ask Ves to kick Strider from ceasars, since he had (and he has permanently since our game) honor issues.
Also, when Fire asked long time ago from Ves to appoint a map, he just followed the rules.

I have to admit, I was a bit sceptical when Ves said something along these lines
"....Trust me guy's, the Finals are going to take a LONG time, because there will ALWAYS be someone who....."

Dont think Ves will reply soon. Its summer... possible he rest on nice sunny place with alot drink and grls

Just Play Genesis-DarkRealm and be done with it. No studying.. no practicing.. no Learning and memorizing.. Just load up a game and let both your guys raw heroes skill shine!  And since niether of you have ever played the map.. You Both will be on Level playing ground.
Someone Worthy of the Ceasar Title could do this.....

Of course, i have offered Dark Realm to Fire among all the rest of TOH maps. Yet, Fire was very honest and said that he has played the map multiple times without reporting and therefore it would be unfair to me. Admirable

I spoke Fire this morning. He said that he did not change his mind. He thinks that the fairest solution, if both players name 1-2 maps to Ves, and Ves decides. Or its also ok for him, if Ves appoint a map from the list.

Strange about silence in msn for 23 days then hmm So, looking at Giants was also another joke? That is already around ten maps in a row he has rejected. Well, at least Fire is alive...
Obviously, we need Ves help here. All other means have been depleted. Perhaps Ves might consult, for example, Fiur and expand the map list with blockbusters created during last year. Hopefully, the map Ves selects will be with somewhat equal experience for both contenders.
I remind everyone about the rules that have been agreed upon with Fire:
1. Victory in The Caesars Final is decided by 3 wins.
2. Wingaal is banned.
3. Map size is large (or medium as long as climax is around week 4-5).
Sry, Ves, about pulling you out of your summer agenda but we really need your help here.

I visit the boards almost daily here, and have to manually add the daily new member registrations, along with the accumulated clans winloss reports on a periodic basis.
About of choice of maps, firedragon/strider disagreeing -- either I can pick a map that I see has been played out a lot on both of your histories, or pick one that hasn't been played for ToH on your records at all. Jinxer is the maps page guy, and he does have a long list of maps...

Yeah, Jinxer knows it all about maps and their relative difficulty. Imo, the best would be to play unknown map to both of us as long as it is fairly long as we agreed with Fire. Seems that besides Dark Realm, all the other unreported maps are open for choice.

Well seems that is the main problem here.. that you and Fire obviously cannot agree or we wouldnt still be trying to find a map for you. So I would think that if it comes to Ves having to pick.. then ANY map he chooses regardless if its a 12 week map or a 2 week map is an option.

Fire agrees with both solutions, but naturally knowing Strider selecting an unknown map means 3 month delay.
He is ready to free a whole week (or maybe more) in July to play the finals, so if Strider chooses a week now, they can play from 8 AM-24PM. If not, it will take lot longer.
He does not want to spend more than 3-5 days after the selected map is known to prepare, so he asks Ves to wait to name the map untill we can see how Strider schedule looks like, because he does not want to start an endless game which I had with Strider.
Btw he said that Strider rejected a lot of maps earlier on, so again what Strider wrote here, are khmmm, "half-true".

Kis, i might paste msn log with Fire here Or maybe he can tell us what "many" maps he offered? hehe
Endless game with me? It is 1.5 months now since i approached Fire about Finals and 1 month since i last heard from him at all. In the meantime i've written to Fire multiple times and the answer was silence. We could have finished Final by now hmm
Btw, what is that "prep" time i use you are talking about? The only map i wanted to explore more closely was for clan war with Jinxer on Battlezone because it was unknown to me and billion times played for opponent. If we both are in equal condition with Fire then ~1-3 days would be sufficient.
Week off to play heroes 24 hours? Sounds super cool but, unfortunately, i can only match this proposal with 3-4 hour sessions mainly in evenings but sometimes also during day. Ofc, not every day i can play but i think that some ~3-5 sessions could be arranged during a week. In other words, if lucky we might finish 1 game a week.

I was just browsing through msn log with Fire and found funny thing. On May 22 Fire rejected One Way Ticket after agreeing that it will be "the map" the day before. Instead he changed the subject to Dark Realm that i had mentioned before. On May 28 when i got desperate and proposed Dark Realm again he claimed that he has played it many times and it won't be fair to me. Interesting hehe
Anyway, in msn log we can see that the last date Fire offered some map was May 18 - Subterranian treasures. I rejected that because i was contradicted by his statement he has never played it though TOH profile shows 2 games on it. He put on plate couple more maps from maps4heroes.com but i wanted to play a map from TOH map page. The only "fair" map from TOH page Fire offered was Giants but after i found out from Fiur about its easy creeping i rejected that. Once again - it was on May 18 hehe
In short, i have a very distinctive and funny msn log with Fire and ask him twice before posting smth here, Kis

I'm sure if you offer Fire games on Hourglas he will accept. Maybe from lossing 1-2 more month for "catch eatch other" you can start "study" it. You can be suprised Strider_HL but this map will give you realy good chances because here need good balance from bilding strategy in towns+geting resurces for it and lvl heroes in same time. For this all good players on HG use 2 heroes. I think you are good enough for play real hard map. Another bonus is map is well tested and here no bugs or silly stufs. If you have qestions about map i'm ready to help you. If you want to practice choice races for both from us and im up for practice.

Yeah, Fiur created hardcore version specially for the occasion to make it appealing for the Finals. Fire got it from him some week or more ago. As Giants was initially suggested by Fire i expected that he would gladly accept it. Alas, there is no answer so far. Maybe Kis can find it out directly from Fire?
