Point is, they are just sharing how they feel.
Not like they hate her because she made a change.
They are just not used to seeing it that much.
I only know one other person who has done it.
Not like seeing something once a month.
What are we not supposed to express how he feel?
It's honesty & it's not like they said she was a nut or something.
I dont know why she is so upset.
Whatever, it is what it is right.

I thought friends should be a little more active. Give advices, idk. Not just state their opinion and vanish. That was my point Acu, if you missed it  It was kinda off topic but whatever.

Yeah, a year of mandatory psych evaluations..being poked and proded physically and mentally will do that to a person. Just a bit tired of people beating a dead horse. If anybody had any clue what a person has to undergo to even be considered for the operation. If going through that doesn't change your mind, then no force on earth will.
Either get over it, or don't, but nothing said is going to alter the facts.

There are two kinds of opinion that a friend should give - the pre-action and the post-action. The pre-action is the person's true thoughts that are being said in order to help one's friend to do the right thing. The post-action is encourgement and support for what has already been done and cannot change.

Well, I thought it wasn't entirely over. As long as you can convince someone, you should at least try. If you care, that is. But now I see it's set in stone, so my rambling was kinda useless indeed

Not to try and start anything else again, but Mytical, you must have known that there would be some who would be against your decision. So why do you get angry or annoyed? You know not everyone can accept what you have done.
I am not sure if I can because I am against changing of genders and stuff like that, but if that is what you really want then have fun. I am sure that you thought about the consequences with this though, right?

To be honest William my rant was more a case of depression for me. Have bouts with it from time to time. Which caused me to be annoyed at how this is being hashed and rehashed to death. I fully understand that people may not accept it, like it, and that it may creep people out. Do we really need to go over it, and over it, and over it though?
As for thought it through, a year of mandatory psych evaluations, many years of self questioning. Nope didn't think about it abit. Just woke up one day and went to get the operation.

I'm so sorry I wasn't around to close this sooner Mytical - summer vacation here and we're not often at home.
For what it's worth, I applaud your courage - both in making the decision to live the life you want for yourself, and in being so open about it when a lot of people lack the ability to deal with that.
