I went to her restaurant and gave her a letter. No begging, some thoughts about past few months and those two weeks after end. I'm kinda unfair. I put all the blame on her, but I did some flaws either. I ended it :
"If you want to walk your path alone, then Im wishing you from deep of my heart, the best of luck, I hope one day we'll have a talk like good old buddies. But If you want to take my hand, then Ill be honoured by offering you my help in life."
(I know, I know...cheap and sounds like wedding oath, but heart took control over mind)
I wrote that letter not to beg her fro coming back. I just wanted to make things clear. I want to move on. I hate unfinished things.
I handed it. Said: Dont be afraid of reading it. Later just do as you wish.
5 hours later phone rang.
"Hey its me, her friend, she wants to tell you something..."
"Hey...Ok"
*passes the phone*
"Is there any chance I can take your hand again and walk with you?"
"Oh God... You cant imagine how happy I am..."
*cries*"I was so stupid...Forgive me"
"No it was me...I love you"
"I love you too"
...
And then I woke up.
The seconds after realizing that it was just a dream was the biggest torment I ever had in my life.
I wont be surprised seeing this post in Peanut HQ.

I agree... also this job thing sound a bit weird to me... As I got it, she is working as waitressing during the holidays, to earn some cash for the academic year... many are doing this (if the holidays are long enough), I'm doing sort of this right now, but even she do have a lot of work and is sooo busy... it's going to over, in the time of the holiday... Sound a bit weird that she left you for such a reason... I do think so... but... people are weird anyway... or she was just looking for a reason... I think to stop commenting your problem now, I feel a bit annoying.

Engagement rings are expensive! I've been trying to figure out the average carat size bought by non-wealthy people and it's about 1 - 1.5 carats which is still $3000 and more.

3000 is quite expensive, are you sure it's the average ring?
I don't really see how a small piece of metal can be so expensive, unless there is a huge diamond on it.
I have an alternative solution : buy a 40€ ring, and use the remaining 2960€ to make a trip with your girlfriend

Wow...
Ok, total turn around here.
I pride myself in not being a jealous boyfriend. You know, those types that watch their girl's every move and get pissed off at even the sight of another guy so much as walking within 50 feet of his girl.
I'm also very trusting. I feel that trust is a major part of a strong and lasting relationship. She trusts me and I trust her. Neither of us have ever given one another a reason to be anything but.
A few hours ago after I was done remembering how poor I am by looking at overpriced diamonds, I started looking through pictures since we've been putting together a scrap book. I remembered that she had some nice pics on her myspace page so I went ahead and logged on so I could print them off and add them to our collection. I clicked on one of my favorites and realized that she had deleted the comment I had left on there. Weird but whatever. Then what caught my attention was some guy named Jack had left a comment saying how hot she looks and how he can't wait to see her after work. Ok, that's triggering my warning signals so doing what I have never done before, I decide to snoop a bit and I click on this guys name to see who he is and how he knows my girlfriend.
I start looking and reading his page. He seems like a cool guy. Then I start to read his wall. Now I'm starting to get slightly angry and I can feel that un-trusting jealousy begin to build up. I shouldn't be feeling this way. There should be no reason for me to not trust her. I mean, I love this girl. I want to marry her.
