TOH CUP
Dear Tohers!
Having this special moment, when all ratings are restored to 1000, I would like to test the community, what do u think about a toh cup?
I need some feedbacks, would u participate in a tournament with the following rules:
- All toh registered may participate
- CUP would start 1st week of September
- 8,16,32, 64 player grid according to number of participants
- One match, winner goes to next turn
- One week deadline for each match
- Maps are selected from Ceasar map list randomly by me to each game
- Random faction, random hero
Naturally mutual agreement of the players can overwrite any rule, except one week deadline.
I really beieve that any kind of disagreement or problem can be handled as gentlemen between the players, if not I will find out a way to decide the issue.
Note that deadline is important, so anyone who is not sure that he can play one game/week, better not participate.
Elvin tries to make contacts with other leagues. If both cup and Elvin is successful, first 4 or 8 would represent toh in the interleague games.

Naturally, only one requirement: must be registered in toh, rank not needed.
But I would like to see promises, or just simply: "I am in" if anyone would like to participate to make the grid.

chn-wimp is no newbie indeed. i lost to him brutally but i learned so much that the next game i won against more experienced player with ease using his strategy! watch chn-wimp to join emperor ranks next season

For now we'd like a confirmation of those who are in so that I know if I should go ahead with contacting others.
As for the official 8 hours on Saturday that's pretty unrealistic. Me I'll have exam period at the time but I'll try to find some time, maybe we could somehow schedule which pairs go first so others that face such inconveniences are not denied the games.
Also random is good but there are certain maps I simply would not want to play, either due to time constraints or because I simply dislike/find them unbalanced. Anyways it's already mentioned that rules are subject to negotiation but I thought I'd voice my opinion.
Thank goodness for the one week deadline or this would drag on more than Caesar's

I can play almost 60 hours a week every week! BUT can never play Saturdays.. that is family time with kids.. So I guess that counts me out.
And 1 week deadline is not realistic.. with timezone differences... for example..as I pointed out.. I can be available to play almost 60 hours EVERY week... but Jorkos available play times only overlaps my time by 2 hours each day tops. So if you insist on 1 week deadline.. you will either have small amount of people in tourny.. OR ALOT of FOrfiets.. and or arguements over who should be forfieted at the end of deadline.
Just some thoughts.

I set Saturday for official day of playing just to avoid whats happening now in ceasar.
I hope really that 99% of the games in this cup, will not happen on Saturday, because players set another time to play by mutual agreement.
Even if we say 2 week/game period (or any period) same questions rise.

I really like the idea, and would like to be in, but here lies a problem: I can finish one game (or more) in a week, but can't be sure if I will be able to play on Saturday, not to mention 8h on that very day. So if you could make this "just being able to finish in a week", you can count me in.

well, we can do that also. And if a game will not end in a week,whats the solution?
