I agree for once.
Although in the lore it states that the Goblins to giant turtle and sub-marine assualt on Nazjatar - they have had 10,000 years on them to build cities and defenses etc.
Im certain that the Naga will survive, even if some of their leaders such as Azshara dies.
Lol I think mvass is right.
Future titans = Xel'naga
Overmind = Old God(s)
Zerg = Qiraji, Silithid, Nerubians
Protoss = Draenei
Humans = Terran
Now everything finally makes sense
Hmm... damn, Naga as a faction would be damn cool with heroes such as the:
Naga Anomlay
Naga Sea Witch
Tidehunter (Water Elemental)
Naga Warlord

Not really, the Scourge is a poor replacement for the Swarm and the Human Alliance doesn't resemble the Dominion while Night Elves don't really remind me of Protoss.

It's impossible that starcraft = future warcraft. It doesn't make sense, even if you're very creative and try to connect both of them.
They're not DoW/WH universe. Even past DoW and future DoW are not connected.
@Xerox
I know about proto dragon, but there are more than 5 dragonflights in WC universe, trust me in this, for some hints, do infinite dragonfligts related quest. Don't get me wrong, i never play WoW (only its PS, last time i played it, it was BC), i'm just interested about its stories and lores.
@Cepheus, SwampLord
I play the games, but i strongly believe it's not completed. I believe, there are still many things unclear about them (at least for me). Sadly ubival create new universe, but i'm ok with whatever their decision, and the new universe's genesis is more clear.

But which games? I mean, if you haven't played Might and Magic then you've missed half of the storyline... don't forget which series is the spinoff here.
Don't be annoyed at the storyline because you don't know everything about it, though...

Did you really want a company like Ubisoft to extend the old universe? They would have ruined the whole storyline.
Yes, there are more then five dragonflights but only five were blessed by the Titans. All the other dragonflights are off-shots of the orginal five.
The Infinites for example are an off-shot of Bronze dragons who basically saw that they were going to die, and dont want to die or something like that
The Infinites might also be Bronze dragons corrupted by the Old Gods.
There were many different Proto-dragons but only five dragonflights. Now the Lich King has created the Frostbrood Dragonflight etc, but neither those or the Chromatic/Twilight/Lolatic/Infinites etc are real dragonflights.

My guess is that its the same univers. The undeads got exterminated i guess since their leader is bound to Northend. The humans are humans, they DO breed like rabbits.
Alot of the race where likely exterminated over time, i guess they even blew up Azenroth at a point.
The Protess is another alian specie, the zerg could be a remain of the burning legion in a way. They could also be someting completely else.

Warcraft in the future= Starcraft? ROFL
one word: TERRANS. In case you didn't know terra means earth. Even WH40K's Emporium of Man's capital is Terra. In other words Earth. So no way that Starcraft is Warcraft set in the future.

Terran = Spaces Marines
Protoss = Eldar
Zerg = Tyranids
I completly agree that Blizard stole them. There is an explaination however, and it is that Starcraft was supposed to be a Warhammer game from the begining but they didnt get the rights on it (fortunaly for both sides) and made Starcraft instead.
Now I dont know about Warhammer lore much, but im pretty sure that these three races are very different from their ancestors just like Warcraft Orcs are very different from Warhammer orcs.

Actually, aside from the painfully obvious Zerg I find Starcraft to be very original. Protoss really aren't much like Eldar and the redneck Terrans are completely different from Space Marines.
Warcraft is a blatant ripoff of Warhammer, but Starcraft is pretty original. The Zerg are kind of jacked straight from the Tyranids but even so the manner in which they are presented is vastly different.
Also I find it difficult to believe that Blizzard would have begun development of a Warhammer game before getting the rights.
In regards to WHFB=40k, GW has stated officially that the two universes are separate, and although connections remain (the Old Ones in particular) they are most definitely different.

Well, to be honest it kinda is. Dwarves are basically identical, as are Orcs who look exactly the same. The Titans and the War of the Ancients are direct parallels to the Old Ones and WHFB world's own War of the Ancients. Furthermore, the Twisting Nether is incredibly reminiscent of the Warp, while the idea of secret cults corrupting the populace to overthrow the country sounds pretty familiar too.
Warcraft has its original things too, such as fully intelligent orcs, but it has MANY similarities to Warhammer. Not as much as H5 though.
Anyways, back on the subject, I'm not sure if I'd want heroes as we know them now to be in Warcraft IV. However, what I want more than anything is larger armies. Warcraft III's 30-unit (at best) armies are kind of pathetic. The game needs to look/be more realistic and it needs to have larger armies. Larger armies would eliminate my issues with heroes ( I feel they're too important right now.)

Dwarves are not nearly as technolocial (lol spelling) as in Warhammer, its the Gnomes that craft all the sub-marines and sci-fi crap.
The Dwarves dig underground to find more about the orgin of races and there past.
Sure, the Orcs look similar but how would they else look? They are green in most games. I dont know anything about Warhammer lore so I have no idea of War of the Ancients and Warhammer Titans. Most Titans are inspired from greek and norse mythology aswell (Loken, Vulkhan etc).
Old Gods are inspired by the Cthulu/Lovecraft mythos, not Warhammer
Dunno about the Warp. The ones seeking to destroy Stormwind from the inside are the Black Dragonflight and the Defias (and the Defias has a reason to hate Stormwind, the nobles didnt pay them when they rebuilded the entire city).
Many orcs have always disliked Thrall because he invites races such as the Gay Elves into the Horde. Its understandable.
But im sure you're right. I know very little about the Warhammer universe.
In the early alpha on Starcraft 2, Blizzard did the "squad unit" idea but they removed it for some reason so I guess that isnt very likely to happen in Wc4.
My ideas for heroes in wc4:
ALLIANCE
Draenei Exarch, Human Archmage, Dwarven Thane, Gnomish Tinker
HORDE
Orc Assassin, Tauren Far Seer, Orc Warlord, Troll Shadow Hunter
FORSAKEN
Undead Apothecary, Dark Ranger, Lich, Flesh Mutant
UNION
Keeper, Moon Priestess, Demon Hunter, Dream Warden
LEGION
Eredar Diabloist, Ered'ruin Doomlord, Nathrezim Dreadlord, Annhilian Pitlord
