Battle Net Account Merge has Begun
I told you about this months ago and now its happening...
All Blizzard games will share one account.
Your Battle.net account will merge into a World of Warcraft account and to play online you will have to pay monthly in the future.
But this monthly fee applies to all Blizzard games - so you are actually earning money on it if you play many Blizz games multiplayer.
Im waiting for my Battle.net account to merge with my WoW account now.
This will be great... for me.
Unfortunaly, not for you Star and Warcrafters. Sorry, monthly fee now.

Logical fallacy, you're losing money either way. you're only making money, if you're a blizzard corporate stiff.
EDIT: second what father says.

Garena
You can still use Garena for all Warcraft 3 games. That will likely be the new place to do everything.

Hm. I give Garena three weeks before Blizzard officials shut it down.
Play fast.
Oh and Father ended the thread pretty clearly.

Well, Blizzard, I'm never buying any one of your RTS games again.
Looks like I can't play DotA or ANY awesome WCIII custom maps anymore. So, let me just say:
**** you, Blizzard.

Well, A) it's setting an extremely disturbing precedent for online PC play, and B) there's a good chance Blizzard will take those sites down. God forbid they make a little less money.
Also, Xerox, you are not "earning money" in any way. SC, WC and Diablo online play was FREE. WoW was the only one that cost money. Therefore, the only potential money flow here is out of our pockets, and into Blizzard's. There's no positive spin to put on this. Just Blizzard doing more moneygrubbing.

What sites down? Hamachi? They have absolutely no jurisdiction over it. Unless they *buy* it (and the Hamachi dudes will lamely sell it), but I don't think that's gonna be very profitable for them in the long run.
Hamachi is not made for Starcraft you know... it's made for using LAN as an internet link. Not even for games only...

Blizzard being Blizzard, I wouldn't be surprised if there's some form of legal action they can take.

I'll write to Blizzard. I don't thinkk they'll answer or even notice my mail, but I do think they would have some years ago. My point is that Blizzard used to be one of the "good guys", you know, who cares about faithful gamers and gain money from being nice. I know I've bought several Blizzard games twice, even three times. Why? Cause if something happened to my game, I'd gladly pay for another when I knew that a corporation that would care about me got the money.

Here's what Blizzard says:
Quote:
March 19th, 2009
Introducing the New Battle.net Account
We're pleased to introduce the Battle.net account -- a brand-new way for players to manage their Blizzard Entertainment games, make online Blizzard store purchases, log in to World of Warcraft, and more using just one set of login information. World of Warcraft players now have the option to create a Battle.net account, merge a World of Warcraft account (or multiple accounts) with it, and begin logging in to the game, the Armory, and the forums using their new Battle.net account login information.
Merge your World of Warcraft Account now
Some of the benefits of the Battle.net account include:
* Fewer passwords to remember. One single login lets you access World of Warcraft, the online Blizzard store, and more -- including upcoming games such as StarCraft II and Diablo III.
* Opt in to upcoming Blizzard Entertainment beta tests. Put yourself in the running to be invited to test upcoming games.
* Easy access to your classic games. Store your CD keys for classic Blizzard Entertainment titles, and then download the games whenever you wish.
* And more to come... We're planning to add more features in the future, including tools to help friends communicate between games and bring players closer together.
At this time, signing up is completely optional -- but if you’re interested in taking advantage of the benefits of the Battle.net account today, check out the FAQ for more information, or create an account now.
So this isn't exactly what Xerox says, but I actually believe that they'll do it.

Okey... I made it worse then it is to make you angry
But its better then having separate monthly fees for all their games SO YOU DO EARN MONEY AT IT!!! Now go and get a real job or sell yourself! (just joking)
But they said at BlizzCon that using Battle.net for Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 will cost money.
And Blizzard will close your little sites. Just like they did to the Glider bots.

You really don't see the point at all, do you?
WoW is the ONLY blizzard game that costs money to play online. So let's do some math.
If it costs me zero dollars to play WC3, SC1 and D2 online, I am spending zero (0) dollars. If it costs me $15 to play WC3, SC1 and D2 online, even if they are bundled, that is fifteen (15) dollars.
15 > 0
So, care to explain how this is "saving me" money?
Also, Hamachi and Garena aren't exactly "little sites" but I would not be surprised if blizzard brought legal action against them.
Anyways, you seem incapable of comprehending that virtually all PC games have free online, it's only the MMOs that bleed you dry of cash even after you buy the game. Get that through your head.
Paying to play games online that have always been free sets a dangerous precedent.
Hopefully blizzard realizes that they can't do this to games like WCIII without massively alienating their playerbase, since having fun on custom games is all that keeps that game alive, and though a majority of WCIII players probably have WoW accounts that'd still be quite a hit to the WCIII playerbase. If you found your game's legacy on amazing custom games, you can't exactly force people to pay $15 a month for that.

I was talking about Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3... and I also said it benefits me but maybe not you lesser mortals as much.
Also its cheaper to play WoW then buying one game each month (if you dont want to download them, its pretty much legal in sweden, we created that).

It doesn't really matter if you were actually trying to make it joke this is just retarded. But it makes a lot of sense coming from you actually. So watch your mouth would you? You humping Blizzards leg is all cool and stuff but this is kinda were the fun stops. Tzz... hopeless.
And yeah I kinda see the irony here.

I do find it very funny actually to act like the Mouth of Sauron, but for Blizzard and pretending im fanatically loyal to them and beign their avatar of war and annoyance.
But this is the only forum I become that on lol.

That's what I already said (humping leg = "playing" the fanatic). Obviously you didn't get my post the slightest.
It's about Quote: and I also said it benefits me but maybe not you lesser mortals as much
which isn't funny nor sacastic nor anything else simply because it's coming from you (if someone else might have said that it could have been a joke coming from you it's just plain stupid and wrong).
