"Clash of Heroes" - Might and Magic goes DS
As Cepheus noted in this thread, Jeff Spock wrote that he participated in script writing for a DS game based in the Might and Magic universe.
As written on the web page: This will be an awesome puzzle game with an epic fantasy storyline. And, yes, both of those things are possible. Watch the review pages; I think this one will make waves.
As of yet no further details have been released, but soon enough something is bound to come up.
Hope to hear tons of your predictions and expectations for this title.
PS. I created this thread here as actually the topic isn't Heroes VI related, and the title of the original thread in the Heroes VI section isn't really relevant.

Any chance of a slightly more specific timeframe?

Sorry but I have no knowledge on timeframes. Never knew anything about them.
But the release date (2009) suggests that an announcement will be made soon. The game's in development for quite some time now, so it's more or less finished. No need to keep it a secret any longer.

I'm considering doing the same. Gaming on the bus would be fun.

Sweet! I would've loved to see Heroes on the DS, no matter what form. Now this is something to keep my eyes on.

I already own a DS - but if not this game would make me an owner of it!

Do we even have any proof that this game is REAL!? As much as I would want M&M to go on the DS, there is just no proof. No screenshots, no videos, there isn't even any info of how the DS M&M would play like! I don't want to be the cranky nanny here but no one should get their hopes too high!

No proof but high hopes!
The last M&M on a Nintendo handheld was Heroes for GBC. There's no explainable reason why UBI will not create a new Heroes for DS - it would shure be profitable for them - but you're right:
There's no proof.

Well, if the words of a Ubisoft official and a few of the game's own testers are anything to go by...

The evidence we have would appear to be indicative against that sort of suggestion. I'm quite certain that Jeff Spock, JollyJoker and Marzhin aren't liars, much less in on a crazy viral conspiracy.

I don't think that they're liars, too.
But thinking of the browser game (which I believe will never be released) some more evidence would be... ehhh... nice!?!

If you google "Heroes DS" You get nothing HoMM related.NOTHING! if it was real, it would have made a bigger splash. And there is no reason for ubi to PAYNintendo for rights to make a HoMM DS.
The Idea is pretty good though, especially if ubi made a Wii version too, And I hope it's true, even though I know It isn't
If you ask me, info from Ubisoft employees semms to be quite reliable. The fact you didn't find anything is mostly because no official info has been released yet. But that doesn't mean that the game doesn't exist.
And I don't really get the point of Ubisoft having to pay for the right to the game. Can you elaborate on this?

I don't know if UBI has to pay Big N for making a game on the DS(i) but if so there's always a good reason to do this for a company: Making Money!
I know that WiiWare developers do NOT have to pay Big N.
