It's weird man... really really weird. I think I need to do some research on the movie before I watch it a second time to get a bit more. I mean I saw the movie I understood what they were saying but I didn't get anything. It's so cramped with symbolism and methaphors you can hardly catch up. Mind you even if you don't look for/try to understand what you conceive as methaphors or symbols (which I gave up about 15 minutes into the movie lol) it's still really hard to understand lol.

Just saw the 2010 edition of CLASH OF THE TITANS...
which had no Titans in it? wtf xDDDDDd
but wow
this is ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES I have never seen and I am so mad and confused because wikipedia and imdb says it sucks? what?
It had CONSTANT action, SUPER COOL and CREATIVE and ORIGINAL versions of greek monsters (plus the djinns WHICH I LOVED)
though I didnt get why Andromeda was so important, is it because they wanted to stay a little true to the original myth?
now I have not seen the original Clash of the Titans (which is named War of the Gods - Gudarnas Krig - in swedish for some reason, back when sweden translated movie titles) but now I will!
but wasn't it just hilarious when the djinn, who is from Islam and arabic mythologies, BLEW HIMSELF UP? xD catch the metaphor
anyway a very strong 4.5/5

Clash of the Titans was 'meh'. Liam Neeson was the main reason I went to see it. I don't necessarily think an intricate plot makes for a good movie (in fact an intricate plot can thoroughly ruin a movie), but Clash was just way too linear.
I can understand you liking it though. It's a good movie for young teenage boys like yourself.

For some sick, twisted reason I hadn't seen Tropic Thunder yet, but I was very pleased with it. If you want an overall humorous and strange movie, I'd recommend it. Jack Black and Robert Downey were great.

linear?
what movie is not linear?
or do you mean that it did not have many sub-plots or anything like that?
well, that's understandable since it is a single movie and not a trilogy like Lord of the Rings
I liked that the plot was straight forward and good, and there was a little twist in the end I guess that Hades wanted to grow more powerful than Zeus and overthrow them. Or wait, is it a twist if everybody already knows about it?
either way, I did like it and had no expectations at all because I had heard that it SUCKED for some ridiculous reasons (buhuhuhu the kraken was to big buhuhuhu)
how can you not like freaking SCORPION MOUNTS!?
I reallly waaaant to mount a scorpion some day! My mum likes big stingers so i'm sure that it wont be to hard for her to get us a big scorpion to ride!!!
anyway in the sequel there are actually going to be titans

Lol, its obvious that I wasn't serious and that it was a joke which you may find tasteless I guess. Everybody has different prefrences but I don't you should call everybody on this forum a troll when they make a joke that you don't like.
I have a great deal of self-distance so I really don't care about what I say about my mom on a forum that she does not know exists (and even if she did, she would probably laugh and then not care, she's not 64 years old). Plus my mum has already become a bit of forum meme here, I think.

The Green Lantern and Captain America trailers were released a couple months ago. Will be interesting:
Green Lantern
Captain America
Captain America is set in WW2 so I'm assuming he won't be incorporated in the upcoming Avenger movie(s). Green Lantern is DC Comics... so obviously he won't be in it.

I think he will be. According to the Avengers comic book, the rest of the team found Cap frozen since WW2, which prompted the revival of the character as well as the strongest nerdgasm of 1964.

And how loyal have the movies been to the comics so far? Not overly so (For good reason)
I think it's pretty ballsy that they're even putting Captain America on the big screen at all. When I first heard about it several years ago I chuckled at the idea. A movie like that has such easy potential to bomb, so they have to do it just right. Of course having a duel theme of WW2 and comic book can attract a double wave of males.

If only I saw this a few hours earlier. Before I actually went and watched it.
Sigh.
Well, the soundtrack was alright. Kinda.
I can understand creating a dream to cope with reality. I can not understand creating a dream within a dream where you fight nazi-zombies, giant samurai statues, dragons, and robots, when you start to dance.
I applaud the effort but the end result was severely disappointing.
Actually it was pretty easy to get it :
1. Dancing = letting yourself go = being free
2. Fighting zombies/dragons = Fighting demons which take different forms within your subconscious, they represent all the bad things the real world has to offer, that is the definition of coping with reality.
3. The dream of a brothel is meant to mess with the viewers, to create a bigger confusion between reality and dreams in order to deliver the Punch which was supposed to be the ending
somebody spoiled the ending and kind of killed the effect for you personally, you should sucker punch him/her
IMO the ending didn't deliver as meant to but all in all the movie was an enjoyable one to watch, nice soundtrack, nice idea and tons of girl power (even though a bit sexist one)... considering the rubbish that is out there these days it gets my thumbs up
