Blood Diamond was a pretty good movie; would recommend for anyone that hasn't seen it yet. The weak link was the main actress, who seemed to get the part because she was high grade eye candy, though it's hard to stand on par with Leonardo DiCaprio and Djimon Hounsou.

It's indeed a very good movie. Go watch it if you haven't seen it yet.

Fast and the furious 5 was totally worth watching, best in the series. Good action, good cast and everything that made the previous movies fun plus a dose of extravagance. Don't wait the laws of physics to work exactly as you thought they might but hey who cares about such trivial stuff Like someone said the last part of the film sets a whole new record in car-smashing history.
Fans of the series should appreciate how they brought the old cast back, well-placed references and a nice easter egg after the credits.

The Experiment was an awesome movie. Watch it.
It's about a bunch of people that need money and agree to participate in a behavioural experiment. Some of the participants are issued roles as prison wardens, and the others are made prisoners.
If any of them are supposed to get any money, they must follow the rules of the experiments, and play their roles.
Really exciting and scary flick... shows how much humans can change when they receive power, or when power is taken from them.

Since there were some talk about HBO series, I recommend checking out Game fo Thrones, another excellent adaptation. It also follows the book very closely, I've been told.

I found pirates 4 totally worth watching Jack, Barbossa and Gibbs are back, Elisabeth and Will are out, some cool new guys join. This time there is a rat race between Blackbeard, the English and Spanish for the fountain of youth which sets the ground for all sorts of messy situations. Jack is hilarious and there is a good balance between over-the-top-action and goofy fun. I felt that after the first movie the series was losing its soul but it's on the right track again
PS, the 3D was pretty good. Worth it if you are considering it.
The pundits say that while On Stranger Tides is well-acted and shows flashes of the vaudevillian swashbuckling that made the franchise a pop-culture staple, it mostly does exactly what you expect, but without the brisk pacing and panache of yore.

Game of Thrones does seem about as well made as it can be. I wonder if it'll manage to piss me off as much as the book did at times.

UBISOFT'S BIG MOVIE PLANS FOR ASSASSIN'S CREED, GHOST RECON, AND SPLINTER CELL
Game publisher Ubisoft has announced plans for 3D movies based on three of their best selling franchises: Assassin's Creed, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell. Those last two both carry the "Tom Clancy's" label, and are about fictionalized Army Special Forces units and NSA black ops agents, respectively. The Assassin's Creed franchise is about a man who time travels (sort of) to Italy during the Renaissance (and elsewhere/elsewhen) and inhabits the bodies of his assassin ancestors to procure artifacts for a shadowy corporation in the present. Jean-Juliet Baronnet, the head of Ubisoft Motion Pictures, had this to say, in very corporate speak: "Our strategy is not to diversify but to bolster the appeal of our franchises -- that's why we want to make sure our films will reflect the brands accurately and consolidate our fan base while expanding beyond the games' primary target audience." Ubisoft hopes to have a script for one of those three planned movies by the end of the year, but didn't specify which one might move forward first. Most stories about this announcement focus more on Assassin's Creed, however, and less on the Tom Clancy projects. Tom Clancy himself hasn't yet been quoted about these projects.
Assassin's creed had better be good

Found a box filled with movies at really cheap prices so I bought three.
Black Death, The Fourth Kind and The Road.
Should be good, all movies I've wanted to see for a long time.
EDIT: The Fourth Kind is the scariest movie I've seen in my life. HOLY **** I say...
Had to do some intense googling to calm myself down afterwards... I used to be so fricking scared of aliens when I was younger and this movie just brought back so damn much.
If I wake up at 3:33 AM and see an owl staring at me... I'll ****ing shoot myself... IMMEDIATELY.

Some more Colin Farrel awesomeness, have you seen phone booth? Trailer tells you all you need to know, that movie grips you early on and doesn't let go.
Saw that movie. Was so boring. Recently watched Eraserhead and Blue Velvet. Eraserhead....one of the strangest films I have ever seen yet so fascinating. It's not a bad movie by any means, it just leaves me with millions of questions. It' good, so if you haven't seen it then definitely give it a go. IOt's a bit different but it's so worth it. Blue Velvet is a murder/gang kind of movie by David Lynch (Eraserhead is also by Lynch) and it's a great film. Great acting, great story...it's all delivered very well. I recommend it.

Heehe I watched Paul 2 days ago and it was quite enjoyable. Not hillarious but funny in a good way it never becomes cheezy or chlichée other when it wants to be so it's great.
My favourite part was when they entered the Roadhouse and I recognized the Star Wars music^^. My roommate didn't get it at all I felt so nerdy lol.
And I watched Phonebooth when it came out and I thought it was really good, not sure what I'd think about it now. The thing is it's like "Rear Window" by Hitchcock in that instead of playing out in a single room the entire movie it's a phonebooth. I can see how that can be boring to people but I actually really liked it.
