Sory, forgot to confirm results with Bania.
1st one was just luck vs bad luck with the timing of the heroes ( i had all possible counters - slow, weakness, suffering ). But i still think that i should go for mass decay in each one of my hero turns. Mass endurance vs mass RM - RM is the winner here. Casting mass decay and forcing him to cast mass cleansing would drain his mana faster than mine. Different sequence of the heroes and i would win it easily, no doubt about that. One of the initiative bugs...
In the 2nd he had a bit luck again having razzak for a starter and very high att/def attributes. The reason i went for twilight heaven is because in my opinion a twilight academy+windstorm is the best possible choice against haven. I wanted to have a counter and while having enlightenment i knew that defense would be great. So it was. You can blame me for not going for standard build but i just don't like schematic gaming. Unfortunately if you watch the replay again my morale was just pathetic. He had almost the same amount as i did ( 5 vs 3, in some cases 5 vs 1), not to mention lucky strikes on most powerful stacks ( i had just one when destroying the crystal). Also the starting ATB bar was all in his favour. With that ATB and morale retribution would not help a lot. Without morale empathy generated no advantage in fast spell casting. Almost same speed with his sorcery. With it, it still would be difficult to win but for f... sake, when you have max morale you count for having it more often than once or twice for the whole turn. But i have to say here it didn't surprise me at all, it's just a standard procedure when i play against Bania. All possible probability things are always in his favour, in every f...ing game... I really would like to see a battle with all the luck on my side...Priceless After almost no morale in the first phase i just didn't care anymore about this battle...
Good luck too all semifinalist's I'm not going to take part in losers cup, sorry. Recently i have no time for Heroes anymore... I suppose soon I'll have to say goodbye for good...

ah, those Arcax-Mohikanin games brings back memories...2% skills ftw! plus +2/-2luck rings. I wonder at which point Mohikanin realised something was up in both games; altho it's easy to say so in replay.
Bania_87 never ceases to amaze me when he plays lucky academy Did I see 3 failed attempts at expert light to counter that PM? oh the pain

Strong display by Light Dungeon, though it was more the 5 luck/morale that did the trick so easily. And the light Inferno, could've went alot kaboom, if archers managed to shoot down some more of those seducers. But as it was and with the seduced lucky strike/retaliation, game was pretty much decided, not to mention the lucky gatings

Indeed that was hell of luck, but Azagal tried to cast magic immunity on them and when Unicorns are puppeted theirs resistance works against ponies.

I realize that it works against them Arcax but really what was I suppose to do? It was my powerstack since my dragons were technically gone. The bad thing is I was scared of a dark build so I got "Eternal Light" and Resistance-ponies unfortunately Bania didn't want to engange in spamming mass spells and the resistance aura chose to screw me over hard... I tried 3 times to save them (2 cleansings and 1 immunity I think) but it wouldn't work. I didn't get mass cleansing which would perhaps have paid off better but still my AA didn't even get off one shot due to bad atb... It was a good game, I'm sure I could have done a few things better but that Pony betrayal just hit me so hard.

Azagal : Bania_87 0:2
2nd battle:
Sylvan : Dungeon 0:1
I've managed to make some nice stats-including 13 attack, 12 defence, attack with tactics and mass haste, defence with last man standing, summon magic, enlightsment and sorcery. Arcane armor made my dragons undestroyable with rising dead. Still elves made big amount of damage, only hydras left on the battlefield.

Well Arcax you'll have to avenge me. I had a most pleasant Sylvan vs Dungeon which I (Sylvan!!) lost. In my defense he had +9 defense items and the defense perk with the ever so annoying last stand. Oh and neither favourite enemy nor luck really did much triggering for me. And there was a solar eclipse. And I was busy because I had to revive my neighbour at the same time as playing, while curing aids and cancer. So considering how occupied I was I think I still did ok.
The fun thing is he really catched with my pants down since I was exspecting a destro build (so fire resistance instead of Storm Wind) and turned down WM when they showed up. And naturally I charged him like there was no tomorrow only too late did I realize that there was no nuclear bombing incoming and he was laughing in my face. But considering his stats (he had more defense then me xD) and the defense I guess going toe to toe with Sylvan is an option still I think Sylvan should have the advantage... perhaps I made some mistakes hm... anyways it was an enjoyable match.
EDIT: Oh and I learned the painful way that Arcance Armour isn't dispellable xD. If you can't cleanse it you shouldn't be able to steal it with Rune of Magic Controle! DAMN YOU UBISOFT!

Wow, that was painful. Your 5 points of luck really sucked here eh. Ancient Treants, Pristine Unicorns and it would be better but if you were prepared for destruction build that was the right thing to do.
Plus the cancer action saves you Bania c'mere!

Emerald Dragon acting after the Red was also very not common
More to that, Red ( the most powerful stack ) had morale turn by turn.
Whip strike slow as a small bonus and of course Azagal's 5/5 worked like snow. I know the pain Azzie...
Arcane armor can be stolen by magic control ? No way
Good luck in the final

Yeah you're right Albo. The Dragon placement was a big pain for sure (he didn't even let my try to blind them) but atleast I still got to save my AAs. But I can't really complain if you watch my games vs. Zen you'll see that I had my fair share of luck aswell (obviously or else Zen would still be playing). Lady luck is fickle mistress.
Oh and you can steal Arcane Armour with that rune it's ridiculous (just like you can steal vampirism but while still prepostrous it makes a little more sense since you can also cleanse it).

So we started our games with bania. After destroying mine stronghold in 1st one we stepped on a small obstacle. I was Inferno - Bania Fortress. Near the end we had a d/c so we need an opinion who would win that one.

I'm not saying this because I lost to Bania earlier but I'm convinced that this came would have gone in Arcax favour. Why? His mana pool was big enough to recast Haste (+other buffs should they become neccesary) and to spam regernaration like to tomorrow. He could either move his devils out of range from the magic stealing dwarfs and just spam wait till he's back at 10 or kill them. From he's real army he still had 4 devils (at that moment you can bet that their numbers would have gone up if the game had continued) and 12 spawns left. Regernartion would have worked just as well on them. Not to mention that he could keep the Lava Dragons at bay with his smaller fooder stacks running arround the field and 148 Leapers, 31 Seducers and another what? ~12ish Spawns? That's just too much damage to handle for the rest of the dwaven survivors even with ressurection. He wouldn't be able to ressurect at the rate his troops would be dying. Naaah I'm pretty sure that that was all in favour of Inferno at the end.
EDIT: Unless of course Bania had rune of ressurection and only chose a really mean time to reveal it lol. Then again I guess that's impossible with him having Etherealness and Magic Controle... unless he mentored inga.
Oh man playing against Fortress is the most annoying thing ever. There is probably no race that can frustrate me as much as fortress (I remember that even the great Buddhist Zen Master sq once noted his frustration in a match of ours... that's got to mean something)
