SUPERVILLAINS (OOC)
Supervillains is an RP set in the near future (like 15 years from now) in the sprawling fictional urban city of New Constantinople, Virginia, USA. As you may guessed, this is a superhero themed sci-fi RP. However, as the title suggests, you will not be playing the Superheroes. Instead, you will be the bad guys, the Supervillians. You do not need powers to be a Superhero, but you need to have some compensating quality about your character. Another point, you only absolutely control your main character (except I'll take over them if necessary, but rarely), any additional characters that you create will be partially controlled by me and you (unless you say that others can use him/her/it). I control all heroes (enemies) and my own guy. Any others that I make are NPC's and can be subject to any of you all's control. Another thing, you all do not have to work together or anything. However, as long as you cause trouble around New Constantinople, the heroes will come after, and some of them will be more powerful than you or have the police on their side. Of course being a model citizen is no fun. The city is your playground and you are the bully. Enjoy yourself, and beat up some heroes every now and then.
I will be the GM and playing the Heroes and Supervillian, Zero. If you absolutely want to be a hero, then go ahead, but you have to ask me and tell me what you plan to do with your hero etc etc.
To join simply fill out a character sheet like this (without the information I put there of course) and submit it.
Name: Unknown
Alias: Zero (formerly the hero, Dueler)
Background: Is a former hero turned successful ex-villain. He has given up his life of crime and has settled down in a penthouse. He is barely seen, but his servant Geoffrey Milleur is occasionally seen driving his Black Lamborghini delivering messages or fetching different things. Why he turned Villain after being such a successful Hero is unknown. What is known is that his former friend and partner hero, Paladin, told Dueler(as known then) that "out of all enemies he had faced, zero beat him" right before they fought an 3 hour long battle. Right before killing Paladin, Dueler said "If zero have beaten you, then I am no longer the Dueler, I am Zero..." The rest of his life is largely unknown.
Physical Appearance: Is nearly always dressed in very neat dark suits and a long black trench coat. His face is covered by a crimson decorated white titanium mask, but seems to never take it off for some reason or another. He has unkempt gray hair and yellow-green eyes. He stands at 6'1 and is very lanky and seems emaciated.
Age: Unknown, suspected to be about 50 years old(retired from villainy 30 years ago).
Powers: Enhanced Strength, Enhanced Speed (as in a little bit over peak human potential), Perfect Anticipation (means he perfectly guesses what will happen next, and can change it), and Mind Protection (immune to all mind related tricks, but won't be a problem for you all unless you for some reason want to be heroes.)
Weapons: Zero has an arsenal of weapons, but only wields one set at a time. He prefers using his rapier in combat, but is extremely deadly when wielding a dagger and sword in unison. He also has 2 very powerful magnums as well for ranged combat. However, his most powerful weapon is his mind. Zero is a brilliant tactician and mastermind, made even more powerful by his Perfect Anticipation ability.

Name: Jack Kane
Alias: Kane, not really afraid of giving away his name.
Background: Kane was abused as a child, being moved around between foster homes. At the age of 13 he blew up the house of his current abusive foster-parents. He grew up fighting, drinking, using drugs and screwing around until an age of 20. He then started working as an assassin, retrieval expert, pickpocket and con artist. Working his way through the underworld his name got well known.
Physical Appearance: About 5.8, muscular and strong, just beneath shoulder-lenght brown hair and cold blue eyes. Doesn't have a specific clothing-style.
Age: 28
Powers: Martial Arts expert, extremely strong with unnatural reflexes. Tactical genious. Smooth talker, usually gets the ladies he wants. Strong sense of honor.
Weapons: Pretty much any kind of item, but dislike guns. Doesn't carry any with him.
Trying to keep him weaker than I usually do!

Sounds great! We may have to wait a couple days or so for others to join in, so sit tight.
Also, Zero may occasionally speak with one of the Supervillains, or if feels particularly good that day, a Superhero. Just putting that out there.

This sounds like a lot of fun. I'll join but I'm gonna have to think about my char a bit. I don't want him to be to overpowered but still unique. Or maybe not so unique and I'll make a supervillain copycat. (Someone who rips of fictional (super)villains).

Name: william palmer
Alias: the hand
Background: Palmer was an experimental researcher in invisiblity technology. there was a lab accident, turning all of his body invisible. from there, he decided to go and commit crimes, leaving a simple hand print as his calling card. these started with petty thefts, childs play, really. However, over time, the power of invisiblity made him more bold, and he started to commit outright murder, leaving the hand print as his calling card. the obsession with the sign began to possess him, and soon, more cryptic, but just as gruesome, clues were left.
Physical Appearance: unknown. palmer was once described as being a man with red hair, but since he destroyed most of the records, including killing his own family, it is unknown.
Age: 30 something
Powers: Palmer is completely invisible. ultra violet or infra red frequencies can pick him up, but faintly, and the accident even erased his fingerprints. he has also learnt that silence is golden, and tries to make sure no-one hears him. despite being a psychopath, Palmer is careful and controlled enough to make sure no-one can know he is there, making him the perfect assassin, until there is a soft chuckle in the victims ear.
Weapons: Palmer has no preference for weapons. Knives, guns, garrots, they are all equally pleasurable and can be handled with ease. however, all weapons must be present at the scene, as Palmer can't carry them around.
weaknesses: Palmer can easily be overshadowed in terms of raw power. if he is ever caught in a fire fight, he will go down quicker than a rock off a bridge. subltey is his strong point, whilst power is not.

Name:Rex Mallard
Alias: The Admiral
Background: Mallard used to be a Marine Engineer for the Navy. He specialised in weapons-development and maintainance but his skill was unrivaled. He was known to be able to fix anything in a short time and to build a deadly weapon out of a pile of scrap. Many weapons Mallard developed however were deemed to dangerous, which left Mallard embittered. After a workshop accident which killed several of his co-workers, Mallard was finally dishonorably discharged. He went into a narcissitic rage, Mallard destroyed the navy base where he used to work. But not before he took several of his other devices with him. Now Mallard continues his work in the Underworld of New Constantinopel, building weapons of all sorts and siezes, for paying clients and for himself. He generally makes a threat of himself, either by testing his weapons on the public or by stealing whatever he needs to continue his work.
Physical Appearance:Picture
Age: Late 40s
Powers:Unrivaled engineering skills; Expert Marksmanship; Analytical mind. Reasonable programming and hacking-skills. He is also arrogant, unscrupulous, vindictive, machiavellian and paranoid. Rex has the unfortunate habit of testing how far he can go with people. Other than that he's a smoker and generally a jerk. He is not in particular good physical shape.
Weapons: Mostly Mallard uses his favorite Mech-suit which he nicknamed 'Vulture' together with two pistol, however he can carry al manner of weapons and use them with great expertise. His workshop his hard to find and is packed with sentry-guns.
(The Vulture is standard equiped with a gatling gun, a hydraulic claw and several heatseaking missiles)
He may wear the Albatross power-armor. (The Albatross features two wristmounted machine guns and a flamethrower, pneumatic-powered hands, preformance-boosting mechanics, a jetengine and a integrated tactical computersystem)

Name: Carrie Ellsworth
Alias: "Horror Chick" by the common populace and the police force, subject FEM-9 by the military and Candice Cane by herself, because she thinks it's prettier than "Carrie Ellsworth".
Background: Carrie Ellsworth, as a young child, showed great talent in most activities she participated in. She always found ways to get her way, her luck was uncanny and she could beat anyone at any game, including physical activities she would seem too slender for. The thing was: she gave people the creeps. At school she was liked by no one and adults had the constant experience of being thoroughly questioned when they talked with her, including her parents. Her father and mother seemed to handle the pressure well, but when the army offered to take her away for a few examinations they were a bit too eager to sign the documents held by the friendly man.
They quickly found out about her curious ability to alter reality in ways and, after a few experiments, which resulted mostly in seemingly threatening her life, they found out Carrie was able to move objects with her mind and that up till now she had been very subtle with it. They then labelled her as a threat to society and sent her parents a letter that their daughter has been permanently removed from the family due to the nation's security. They tried to weaponise her, using mind-altering substances. Under influence of these substances her mind put no limitations on itself and increased severely in power.
The results were catastrophic: she broke free from the military complex, killing several dozens of civilian and military personnel and has roamed free since. She lives in New Constantinopel, viewing it as her own personnal playground, wreaking havoc and destruction.
Physical Appearance: here
She looks like a girl her age, but dresses very scantily, because, well, hot pants + leather jacket = badass and she brings a sword with her becaus eshe thinks it pretty neat.
Age: 17
Powers:
- Psychokinesis: This is quite a broad term, but I'll take two powers from the field of psychokinesis (someone who can do everything under this term would be quite overpowered, believe you me.): telekinesis (the movement of objects with the mind) and force field (the ability to form a zone through which objects can not pass)
Weapons:
- Katana
- AK-47
- Anything lying around, really
Side traits:
Physically very weak
Clinically insane
Bad shot (she just takes guns with her, because they are fun)
Bad fencer (ditto)
Lousy fighter (though, she likes to act as if she 'punches' really hard, while in fact she just uses her power to push someone a few yards away from her)

i dont mean like extreme amounts of energy, just enough to balance her out. Like she'll have a couple headaches every now and then if she does too much, but other than that will be fine.
And yes, she also gets a letter, but I'll arrange it more differently than others.

I'm sorry, if I sounded disrespectful just there.
- I wanted to point out she doesn't really behave well, nor does she have a residence where she stays permanently, so that may pose a problem with the invitation, but I trust your inventivity (is that a word?) (all right, kick-ass invitation!
- About the energy: I would be more comfortable if you put a more defining limit on the power, because energy is a bit... Hard to define and well, it's a limitation you can play a lot with and I don't like a limitation on a level that's so subjective, because currently I'm planning her to be capable of pulling off fantastic feats (well, she won't be lifting buildings, but she could possibly be capable of throwing cars right now.) or... Well, I can work with this energy thing, I guess. I guess I just wanted to let you know how powerful I plan her to be (car-swinging powerful) and I think anyone who raises any objections (for instance: anyone who thinks i'm being unfair with this power) should do it now.
The RPG won't be fun, if someone feels uncomfortable with this character.
Sorry for the excessive amount of words!

Zero can forsee future events, so he knows how Carrie will act and will know how to put her down easily. You may not want her to get overreactive.
Anyways, Zero's servant, Geoffrey delivered the letter to her in person, how bout that?
As for the energy thing, lets just say that she will have car swinging power and all that, but it will tire her. That way its more fair.

Well, after looking over him, you may want to make so that he can be detected by sensors and infrared. Perhaps make it so that his invisibility has a time limit, but can be activated like an hour after it wears off. Other than that, sounds great!
