- Tvajumat Misha, I hope you won't pounce on them...- Vlad mumbled under his nose. He then pulled out two Berretas and six extra magazines for them. He handed them to Kane and S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
- You two will watch my back. They are loaded with armor piercing bullets. You got 44 shots each.- Vlad pulled out the assault rifle and hung the onconsious french over his shoulder.
- Form a triangle. Let's go.

"Seems you're forgetting who's in charge." Kane gave the man a cold smile. "The building is empty, but we'll watch out for zombies."
They walked through the corridors, up the stairs and eventually reached the roof without meeting anyone. "Told ya." Kane murmured, then raised his voice as a man with a sniper rifle met them by the helicopter. "Hello Strutof!"
"Good to see you again, friend!" the man answered in a rough voice. "I didn't expect more than five people in the helicopter"
"It can carry seven, right?"
"Well yes, my friend, but it will cost you..." he stopped when he saw the look on Kanes face. "It will work just fine. Where do you want us to go?"
"Ask him, we're going to his place first." Kane said, nodding towards Vlad.

"Put out that cigarette, the helicopter is filled with explosives." Kane growled. "And off we go."
They were off at an incredible speed, the computer in the helicopter showing the way and helping them find it within rather few minutes. Kane let down a rope. "Alright, down you go. Come back with what you need, you have ten minutes max."

Vlad got out of the copter, and went into his warehouse. He dumped the jewelery, grabbed a lenght of chain and a moderate crate labeled "Explosive". Vlad also grabbed several magazines with explosive bullet's and a briefcase with a biohazard symbol on it.
- Allright, here's the stuff.- The pilot helped him load it into the copter. Vlad locked the warehouse and sat back in the copter.

"This ain't your first job for me." Kane talked to the pilot "You know where to go."
They were by a warehouse filled with chemicals, said to belong to some huge corporation. They entered and the helicopter left. In the middle of the warehouse were a ten meter deep and three meter wide pit, the walls were two meter thick stainless steel, and could withstand pretty much anything. It were impossible to climb.
"The walls of this building are soundproof, inside we have everything we could possible need to interrogate someone." Kane pulled out gun from a case and then a vial from another, and soaked one of the bullets. Then he planted the gun closeup to Leons wrist-artery and pulled the trigger. "The guy is tough, but just a few drops of this chemical is enough to make anyone tell the truth. The sideeffect of the chemical is extreme agony."
He pushed the guy into the pit.
"Now we wait."

- Over the years, I became like a hamster, dragging everything usefull to my cave.- Vlad opened the briefcase, and showed a vial with blueish liquid in it.
- Toxin. Extremely potent. Before killing, it drives you completely insane, causing excruciating pain. The victims tend to suicide rather than to endure the pain. We'll use it as the last resort. The crate I brought houses thermite. Could come in handy too I think.

Kane laughed. "I like you, Vlad! You and I are not so different!" then he heard a sound from the pit.
"Seems like our friend is about to wake up." he said. ((Beeeerny))
Kane suddenly remembered the bomb he had placed inside the building, and set it off.

Rex had lost interest in the conversation. Ligery was either not within range or she did not cary her cellphone on her at the moment. Kane and Alujev were talking, but nothing was very interesting. Or audible for that matter. Since they have gotten into the chopper, the mic picked up too much background noise to be of any use. So Rex put the radio back on and returned to his Gryphon.
It was coming along well now. It was completely assembled, save the controlls and Rex was in doubt wether to finetune it to specifically his right and left hands or to make it universal. After all his new robotic left had two fingers instead of four. Albeit two finger which were as dextrous as eight and had some built in attachments. Rex admired his hand again. Rex had thought to imagine it at first, but he really had feeling in the robotic hand. He could sense texture and warmth when he touched things with the machine. Rex could not explain why, but he suspected it was a benificial side-effect of the connection with his neural implant. "What a wonderfull device I've made and it barely consumes any power either. But if it has feeling......it may also experience pain!? That is not entirely impossible. Though it is a machine, it cannot feel things. But then I feel things through it, that's quite impossible in the first place. I must test this." Rex looked around for something to damage his hand with, but not to much. His eyes fell on a screwdriver. Rex picked it up and walked to another workbench. He put his robotic hand flat on the worktop and positioned the screwdriver above it. With all his strenght he rammed the tool into his hand. It dented the plate, slid of and got stuck between the wiring. A small current of electricity ran through the blade and the metal handle into Rex' living hand. Rex immediatly let go of the screwdriver, the current made his right hand go numb and cramped. Rex looked at it, no harm done and no burns, just numb. Rex looked at his other hand, the screwdriver was still sticking out. He had felt the impact, but no pain. He put on an insulated glove and pulled the screwdriver out. "That wasn't enough, I need more to see what happens."
Rex picked up a cordless drill and put in a small spiral drill. He put the business end on his hand and commenced drilling. Rex went all the way through untill it sticked out the other end of his hand. "Strange," Rex said. "I can feel it going through, pushing wiring aside, even severing two, but no such thing as pain. Just an 'observing feeling', by lack of a better term. One last test." Rex pulled his pistol and shot his robotic hand. Again only an observing feeling, Rex could feel the lead embedding itself in his hand, but no such discomfort of pain.
Rex spent some time repairing his hand and decided to make the controll grips on both sides for two-fingered hands. He could fit both a two or four fingered hand on those, but Rex started contemplating about replacing his right hand as well. These robotic limbs were clearly superior to ones of flesh.

S.P.E.C.I.A.L. had given the gun Vlad gave her to Kane. It was of no use to her anyways. She was currently watching the torture from the shadows behind the french guy.

"Ugh..." moans Leon in exasperation. "That's like asking what are the fifty most likely ways for the world to end. His plans change and morph all the time. He only tells us bits and pieces of each plan. Enough for us to know what we have to do and how to do it, but not exactly why. In fact, he had me trot over to get interrogated, he even gave me permission to say that he did. So here's the short version of plan A, which he mostly outlined for me and Raphael. He brings one of the two heroes to his side as a powerful servant, but kills the other. That way they can't gang up on him and kill him. You all will kill both of them on the specified day, but he somehow believes that he can bring one of them back to life. I don't understand how, but one of his three main allies has the resources to do it. I only know two of them, though. Their names are Siegfried Einkrein and Mortimer "Morte" Banks. Siegfried is only Zero's banker and money maker, so he wouldn't be much to know about restoring someone back to life. Morte does create life enhancing nano-bots, but nothing so advanced that it can bring back the dead. There's Zero's plan A. Go ahead and talk to your other 'villains' about it if you wish, but I would like to have a drink before I say anything more. Remember, I am cooperating under orders."

Kane grabbed Vlads shoulder and shook his head. Then he looked around for a bottle and filled it with some water and mixed in a few chemicals. "If he's cooperating under orders this should take away his free will and make him ... pretty much like a zombie following our orders." he said in a low voice to make sure Leon didn't hear, and threw the bottle down to Leon. "There." he said.

Rex had nearly finished the Gryphon, but he needed one more vital part. He needed a new control module, the original one from the Vulture did not have the computive power Rex needed. The original was now wired to encompas the targetting and firing mechanism and had thus become the firing module. However Rex had no such module lying around, at least not where he did not need one.
"Now I need to go out again. Not something I've planned on. I'll need to use the Albatross again, I fear. My new allies aren't reachable." Rex paced through his workshop, holding some coffee. Pacing around sometimes helped getting his thoughts straight. "Palmer's no use, I haven't heard from him. Besides I have the distinct feeling he has not used any of my grenades. He's unable to follow orders, I may have to reconsider our deal. Ligery is not responding to her cellphone, probably busy playing Spanish Inquisition. And given her atechnical background, she likely has little idea where to get a controll module like I'm gonna need. I could try Xion again. He has not responded to my email, let's see if he has a cellphone."
Rex moved to his mainframe, pulled up the guestlist. There were two numbers on there. One for his alias as Jack Redfox, one for his Xion personality. Rex dialed the latter. "Now let's see if he picks up the phone."

Xion had create himself a ball to throw up against the wall while he was waiting. He had also made his nanobots eat his Inferno costume so that they may recreate it whenever needed, thou he it had taken awhile to program them to eat instead of create and back. It was around that time that Xion's cell phone started ringing.
Xion looked at the number, it belonged to Rex.
Sighing as he pushed the green button and laid the phone to his ear Xion answered monotonly "What can we do for you today Mr. Mallard?"

"No need for such anger, monsieur, if you wish for me to continue, then I shall drink later." said Leon as the drink was tossed to his feet, which he couldn't get because he chained up of course. "Another of Zero's plans involves the heroes, both of them, replacing you all, but that's just about all I know of that one. The most insane plan he had, however, has to do with his old nemesis, Paladin. Also his first kill of his villianhood. I believe it is raising him from the dead to become Zero's new servant, but he never explained how or why. Then there's the doomsday device type plan, but he seemed to only jest at it. However, this is what I think he will do. He'll have observed the heroes, whom he has in hostage as of now, and get at exactly what improves their powers over time. Then he'll implement it in himself and maybe Raphael or myself, but he'll become extremely powerful. So powerful that entire nations will fall to him within days, or even hours. However, once he puts it in him, he'll have to wait for about a month before he gets to his full potential, and is his weakest then, which is exactly why he wants all of you to kill the heroes on October the 15th."
