Rex had intentionally dialed via the com-line in the Albatross, so Xion would recognise the number. Were he ever to call it back, he would be connected to the Albatross, which Rex would only answer if he was in it. "Hello Xion, I hope I'm not calling you at an inoppertune moment." Rex said with a friendly voice, Rex hoped Xion was smart enough to hear that Rex was faking it. "I assume you've read my email, so I'd like to discuss my little debt. I'd rather get this over with. "Neither a borrower nor a lender be." I always say. I'd also like to know how well you are stocked in heavy industrial controll-modules. You see I'm intressed in buying one."
'Now we wait and see which topic he starts with.' Rex thought to himself.

"Drop the fake friendly voice. If you feel annoy express it in the correct manner, I don't mind." Xion said annoyed as he got out his pocket PC and took a look at his e-mails. "Ahh yes, read the E-mail. Well I estimate that if we scratch the favor you owe me... one billion and fifty-two million dollars. With favor it would only be fifty-two million for the surgery. However, seing as I am not sure I would trust anything you built, cause, let's face it, we're both paranoid and don't trust the other to not use the machinery against the ourself. So let me just have the money." Xion paused and kicked the ball against the wall. The impact made a sound loud enough for it to be heard on Mallard's end.
"And about control modules? Well..." Xion took the backdoor to connect to Nanotech's files and viewed the list over whatever they had in stock "We got alot of those, and what we don't have we can always make if someone orders it. The price is way lower than what you might expect, so it would be like pocket change for you and me. But I would do like to know what you want one for."

Rex laughed, loud and hard, the manical tone was unmistakable. "Hahahaha, those are some big numbers, boy. What exactly do you base them on? Those prices are not from this planet, well that or the Dollar has gone the way of the Reichmark and I haven't noticed." Then Rex chuckled again. "Hehehe, I'm doubting your mother learned you the vallue of a Dollar otherwise. But you're right, I don't trust that Grey Goo of yours. However I'm perfectly comfortable with you using my tech. We're allies in the pursuit of injustice, aren't we?" 'Not to mention that I make sure that my devices are unusable against me, so he could not if he tried. And even if he found out how it would work, it can't be taken out.' Rex thought.
"As for the modules, I'm looking for something to controll assembly-lines, several at the same time if possible. Oh and several of them as well. I need them to have massive computive power, but require the least space possible. And what kind of pocket-change are you talking about?"

A car drove up to the front porch of the Lancaster family...
It had stopped with screaming tires.
A few seconds later the door was kicked open by the very likeness of kayla Lancaster, the recently deceased daughter of the house. "Why didn't you pick up when I called you?" she yelled at him.
She closed the door with a loud bang and went to sit on the couch in the leaving room. "Do they have something to drink in this shack?" she loudly vocalised.

((No, I don't have any sense of how snow really goes down with dollars. Or actually, I just made those prices on mere dice rolls. Btw, 'control' is spelled with only one L.))
"Hehe, I know the numbers are out of this world." Xion hummed "Your actually lucky, cause I usually consider my work i replaceable. Well, actually I just rolled a dice to see how much I should say you owed me, but that is beside the point. 52 millions should cover most of it." Xion heard the door being slammed and a girl's voice shouting, so he turned towards the door and shouted "About bloody time you showed up! I've had enough time to roast hotdogs on a human bonfire here!" Xion turned back to the cell phone "Anyway, assembly lines ey?" Xion typed the word in while figuring out what they can be used for. "Yeah, got quite a few good ones in stock actually. Some nutball from Austria wanted paid for us to make some, but then later told me he didn't need them. They've been gathering dust since then. I'll send the information over e-mail with prices, chose whichever ones you like and call me back." Xion then hung up.
"Aha, good evening ms. Carrie, how did it go?" Xion got up and started walking over towards the kitchen "What could I offer the lady this evening?"

"You can be a dear and make me some iced tea. I'd like something refreshing to make me feel less dirty than I am." she shouted from the couch. She had a lot of blood on her. Killing Inferno's dad was a lot filthier than expected. "And it went okay. I wasn't interrupted by some dude or anything." she said. She looked at her gun. Still looking spiffy. "I, errmm... I made the thing seem like it was done by that one serial killer guy that's been all over te news. You know who I'm talking about, the violent knife killer, the gory man. The dude was obsessed with hands or something, so I made the death a bit gruesome like that guy would, which just ruined my new dress! Anyway, I put coordinates of chess on the walls that together form the individual lettes, h, a, n and d. Pretty clever and if the news is to be believed, it would be so like him. No traces of me were left behind. I used a great deal of my powers to keep it such."
She took off her shoes. She so needed a bath... The only reason she didn't go straight away was because she didn't want Inferno to be suspicious when he saw her girlfriend returning from a horrible event in clean clothes. She curled up a little at the thought of meeting her. He longed for his arms in a way. She was kind of disappointed that she hadn't killed that Kayla girl herself. "How did it go here? How much did that little snow scream when you took her down?" she asked casually. She didn't feel so good, because she didn't feel really lady-like and couldn't act as such and Xion just made it worse!

"Iced tea? Right, it will be done in a minute." Xion said and started whistling the tune of 'always look on the bright side of life' in a low tone while listening to what Carrie was saying about making it look like that serial killer.
"Good work Carrie, we should be hearing about it in the news later then. You know, while we were busy killing these people, someone has been busy. A group of people took over a shopping mall in a presumed act of terrorism, and someone decided to bomb Zero's estate!" Xion said completely casual, fishing to she what reaction he would get.

Xion had hung up. The crazy girl was audible in the background, she was a bigger priority it would seem. Rex sighed, 'Rather an insane amount of money, 52 million. But I'm dealing with an insane industrial who has had the Grey Goo take over most of his brain. I'll think about it. It was a tricky surgery, but I did half of the work myself. Perhaps I'll pay Dr. Violet a little visit and give her a piece of my mind.' Rex continued to muse untill he recieved the email well over a minute later. Rex went over the list. "Too big...too big... not enough power...too big....this JHG-96 is actually usefull if I start up that droid-factory but it's not practical for the Gryphon. What else....not enough power...nor this one.....too big, though I might need one of those if I move up to tanks....next...NO...Nohoho, not in a million years. It's criminal the price he asks for this one. Next." Rex was down to the last option on the list. "Now this is interesting, nice and small, enough power. Hmmm, needs some spiffing up though. And a good old check for his Grey Goo, what's the price? $120.000?! It's true what the Liberals say, the big industrials are crushing the small businesses with their insane prices. He makes them himself, maybe I'll just nick one. Nahhh, he'll know it was me. Maybe I'll have Palmer nick one? No, he'd still know it was me. I'd like two of them, but I really don't feel like paying his idiotic prices. Maybe he'll do me a deal and let me buy parts of the module. I'd need to do some fixing up on the things anyway. No, that won't work. I'll have to spend ages making the software work together. I'll pay up, but I'll have to secure me some more money to close the gaps. I've several million stashed away, but frugality is not a sin. Besides I'll need some income anyway, if he ever get's it into his gooey mind to actuall start demanding that 52 million. "Always have your tunnels dug and ready." as they say. What was the type again? UYG-6, yes, yes. I'll call him again, later today. I think I'm going to pay Dr. Violet a visit, give her that piece of my mind. Now what to bring, need to get the point across don't I." Rex moved over to his heavy weapons rack. Rex decided against it, too obvious. Besides he wasn't 20 anymore, he'd be slow swinging one of those around. He moved to the box he carried the assault weapons he lugged around that morning. The machine pistol with the wooden handle would do nicely. (Second right from the top) Rex picked it up and swung it around a few times. "Yes, this one will do quite nicely." Rex walked to his car. "Time to pay the good Doctor a visit."

Someone bombed Zero's estate?
The fact he avoided her question didn't even enter her mind when she elarned that Zero might be hurt.
"Do they have any idea about who bombed his estate?" she asked. Her attention was sharp. She hadn't turned around yet, but she was very curious now. "Is zero hurt?" she asked a few seconds after. Did someone scratch the perfect man?

When the first question came, Xion started eating a apple and chewed very slowely. The girl had acted in the way Xion had thought, well almost. Then when the second question came Xion thought "As expected of ms. fangirl. She too was worried about Zero." Xion turned around and said calmly "Worrying as it might have sounded, Zero is a smart man with a great power. Since he can predict the future most guesses are on him having escaped the estate way ahead of it being bombed. Some even think that he did the task himself. However, the authorities have not found any sign of there having been humans in the house when the rocket hit, but as of now, they are not sure who fired it, but it's only a matter of time before they discover where it came from. I'll have Kevin tell me later on." as Xion finnished this sentence, his cell phone started ringing again and Xion checked the number. "Speaking of the devil, that's Kevin." he said as he answered.
"Their gone!" Kevin's high pitched voice sounded worried
"What? Who's gone?" Xion frowned
"The heroes! The two you have been needing information on! Sidewinger and Inferno, THEIR BOTH GONE!" Kevin said hysterically, it was obviously that he had never experienced to lose a target
"WHAT?!" Xion shouted "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN?! HOW CAN THE TWO OF THEM BE 'GONE'?"
"I don't know!" Kevin shouted scared "It is the first time this have happened! If they had gone underground they would have left traces for me to follow, but they had no reason to do so. And if they had been kidnapped it would be simular traces, unless..." Kevin suddenly stopped
"UNLESS WHAT?! Speak up you maggot, I got no time for your stupid quizes now!" Xion got more and more furrious by the minute
"Unless someone who knew I would be tracking them did it, someone powerful with really high connections. But that would require alot of money, proffesional experts and the intel to know that someone was tracking them." Kevin was calming down to his usual self.
"A name, Kevin. I need a name!" Xion said while thinking "That sounded so freaking cliché, I should've asked 'like who' instead."
"Well, the only person I can think of right now is Mr. Zero, sir. He got both the resources and power to pull this off."
Xion laughed "Zero? Why would Zero..." Xion stopped mid-sentence as his brain put pieces together "Why would Zero not do this?" he mumbled "Yes, why? Why not? They both don't make any sense. Why would he have waited thirty years rotting away in retirement without making so much as a sound? With his anti-aging nanobots, that would become quite the boring state, don't you think?" Xion looked at Carrie "Why would he wait so long before arranging something like that dinner party. If it was out of boredom, why didn't he do it earlier?" Xion thought "Amusing. Yes, amusing indeed." Xion had started mumbling to himself and was completely lost in his own thoughts as Kevin took him back to earth
"Ehm...Mr. Xion. Not to complain, but if you are going up against Zero, then I will just finnish my assingment as of now and get the information you wanted on these other fellas. I already e-mailed you the Sidewinger information earlier. You see, I like my skin and hide, and going up against Zero would not be good for my reputation you see." Kevin laughed nervously
"Huh?2 Xion said "Ohh yes, Kevin. Yes of course you feel that way. I would be glad if you just finnished the background check and give me some information about the whereabouts of the other people. That would suffice."
"Thank you for being so understandful Mr. Xion. Goodnight, sir. Ohh and good luck."
"Yes Goodnight Kevin..." Xion said and heard Kevin hang up on the other side "...And goodbye."
Xion turned back to Carrie, his face without emotions "Inferno is not coming!" he said "It seems Zero have captured him and Sidewinger for some reason or another." Xion paused for a moment before saying "What. do. we. do. now?"

Carrie became very quiet for a moment. "Well, there goes my plan..." she said.
And suddenly she let out a shreek that went to the bone and could be heard from miles away. "Goddammit! FUCK!"
And with that she flew to the yard and after a succession of very loud noises that made dust scatter against the windows she entered the house again. Her walk was very delicate and relaxed now. "Sorry about that." she said and went to sit next to the little counter where Xion stood. She poured herself a glass of iced tea. When she put it down again, she was relaxed and controlled and looked him straight in the eye. "I have a couple of ideas, but you first need to tell me about the bodies of the Lancasters and the state they are in. Where are they? How are they? That sort of thing. maybe it's best you tell me everything you did in this house so far." she said. "I hope you didn't leave any one of them alive... Well, actually I wouldn't mind if you'd left Kayla for me." she smiled sweetly.

Curious over what Carrie had been doing, Xion took a small look out the window and saw quite the few craters that had been made just recently. Xion made a amused whistling sound before turning back to Carrie.
"Well, the parents bodies are downstairs...what's left of them anyway. As mentioned early, I rostet some hotdogs on a human bonfire, I meant that literary. You see, I made a small plan before coming here..." Xion said while materialzing the mask of Inferno in his hand "..To make it seem like Inferno have gone loco and kill the residents with fire. So the parents I burnt on a bonfire after killing them, while Kayla Landcaster is in the back of my car...in a cardbox...in a bodybag...burnt to death with flamethrowers..." Xion paused and took his hand to his cheek to mimic a 'thinking or remembering pose'. "They all screamed 'madman' and later just out of pain." Xion's tone have now become quite amused and half-laughing.
He paused as he took a glass of iced tea and refreshed his throat "When I arrived they were just about to eat dinner, so I got around ten minutes in the living room before that. It was mostly just the father asking me how school had been and stuff. Of course they invited me to eat dinner with them, however it was soon apparent that all information I have on Inferno's daily acting, that is to say, no information," Xion rolled his eyes "was not sufficent to act as Inferno without going through a spanish inquisition. Good God were they noisy!" Xion shaked his head "So in the end they were convinced that something was wrong or that I was gonna break up with Kayla or something like that, so I had just to start the slaugthering." Xion took a new apple and started eating it.

"Okay, so here's how this goes. We'll need to do two things, if we don't want this to be in vain: We'll need to spring Inferno clear without arousing suspicion and we'll need to lure him to us." she said and then she paused. She was thinking for a moment. "In order to lure him to us, we'll need to have him believe Kayla Lancaster is alive and with us, so he'll come to us to rescue her." she said. "So I suggest you stow away the body or make it vanish off the face of the earth. And then we'll need to deliver a letter to him... A letter that won't be intercepted or read by anyone else... I suggest we send him an e-mail or a text message that tells about Kayla's whereabouts or we send one of your employees. I'll just leave the letter business up to you." she said. She gathered her thoughts again. She got lost quite easily in her train of thoughts.
"Now, we need to spring him free. Well, I think I am one of the most powerful people on this earth and I have superlative perception to boot, so I think I could spring him free by myself, if Kevin gives me the location of their supposed hide-out and maybe some security clearance. He'll need to search for places where Zero usually takes his captives, probably the one with the most security. It wouldn't surprise me, if I had to visit Zero's former mansion to do that." she said. "You could also make a deal with that guy you're asking 52 million dollars from." Xion looked surprised. "Yeah, I heard you. Anyway, anyone with that kind of cash could probably help me, especially if it's a super." she said. "I may not be able to do it all by myself, now that I think about it. Zero is very powerful and has a lot of henchmen, so we'll need to just overpower him. The only way to beat him is being stronger than he is, because he can predict most of my moves anyway."
Carrie then gulped her glass down. "So we spring him free. He'll think I helped him and probably wonder why I did it, but he won't think a lot about it, because he'll know you 'kidnapped' his girlfriend, so he'll bust me out of your HQ, thinking it's me and then I can have my way with him." she summarised. "Sounds like a good plan." and she started laughing. "Do you think you could have Kevin do that and make that call for an ally, Xion, dear?" she said with a very big smile on her face.

Xion started thinking "Rex Mallard would probably be willing to help me out on this one...but Kevin? No, that coward don't have the backbone to go up against 'the all-mighty Zero'." Xion said the last things in a high-pitched and gag-scared tone "Pff, no I will be in the need of someone better..." Xion took his time eating the apple before finding out who to call "..Do you remember that lady from Zero's dinner? The one with the eyepatch? If my memory serves me right, and I know it does, cause that is why I have the nanobots inplanted, she had quite the information network. Or so it would seem as she had figured out that my alter-ego. That takes quite the expert to do that." Xion said and without even waiting for Carrie's answer he took out his cell phone and called Rex.
"Come on you stinking bag of seagrass, I don't have all day!" he mumbled under his breath while waiting for Mallard to pick up.

Then simply attach some system that gives him a new dose of gas or toxin every tenth minute or something."
He tilted his head. "Talking about old, we could maybe have a lot to talk about, I absolutely LOVE old movies!"

Massive titanium bars lined the prison cell of Inferno and Sidewinder. The darkness was lifted from them at the moment, for Raphael had to go to the bathroom. However, it was at that moment that the drugs wore off of Inferno. Sidewinder was still in a rather bad state.
"What the...where are we?" said Inferno as he came to. "Ugh...Terrence...Terrence! Wake up."
"Ugh..." mumbled Sidewinder.
"We need to get outta here...wherever here is..." continued Inferno as he looked around the cell.

Kane leaned over the edge. "Where is Zero keeping the Heroes?" he asked Leon. "Surely you must know, I take it you helped lock them up. If you don't answer me I will find someone you care about and kill them here in front of you. Don't think I am not able to, I always find those I look for."
He pulled out a gun and emptied the magasin in Leons chest. "I want an answer now, if you tell me I will kill you as fast as you can possibly be killed. If you don't, I'll take my time. I will use days, torturing you." he were almost shaking in rage. "I will make you beg for me to end your miserable worthless life. Zero sent you on a suicide-mission, you owe him nothing anymore!"
