Finished the Runaway of the extra stories in RE2:RE. She's the most fun to play because she's the only one with a decent movement speed. The fat gunshop owner is such a pain with his slow ass huffin.
Not a fan of this in general. They rely on gimmick mechanics(item dispensers, pick one out of three, zombies with packbags carrying keys, spawning enemies.) Also the scenario design is 100% route planning. You get to the end only to be faced with two corridors filled with zombies(20+.) Too bad you didn't get those grenades from the item choices. Have fun replaying because of that.
Here's how to beat Runaway in 4-6 minutes:
-Do not lose your knife, if you do, you have to pick it up!
-Shoot first zombie in the head to run by(if he doesn't twitch or die, just restart)
-Shoot the immortal in the knee to run by(1-3 will always stagger these)
-Upstairs go kill the key zombie, don't forget to take a grenade from the item box!
-Stagger the immortal if it gets in the way
-EITHER equip the magnum, blast the key zombie and dodge the dogs
-OR just shoot the dogs and the key zombie with pistol ammo from the stairs
-Get flashbang from item
-EITHER lure all of the zombies out
-OR fry them with the flamethrower(there is more ammo on one zombie)
-IF you shot key zombie with mangum, fry immortals with flamethrower
-OR IF you shot the dogs with pistol, you can use magnum to stagger immortals(double hit)
-Walk on the basketball court and knife(won't alert lickers) the key zombie, you can spend knife after this
-Switch to magnum ammo and run past the zombies in front of the door
-IF the immortal gets in the way, stagger it
-IF you didn't have to stagger the immortal just stagger both immortals with magnum
-IF you did have to stagger the immmortal, EITHER flamethrower both immortals
-IF you did have to stagger the immmortal, OR stagger both immortals with magnum(double hit)
-IF you have 4 or more magnum rounds, just shoot the dogs with it, save one shot!(you can double kill two)
-IF you have 3 magnum rounds, use pistol to shoot the first dog, then magnum the rest, save one shot!(you can double kill two)
-Switch to pistol, stagger the immortal
-Run along the right side, once immmortal rushes out of the way, go into the parking hall
-Shoot the zombie in the head to run by
-Switch to your last magnum round, kill the key zombie
-Switch to grenade, clear first hallway with it
-Switch to flashbang, use it to run through second hallway
This will get you a 4-6 minute time depending if you use the flamethrower or not and if you stop to kill the dogs at the start.

I'm nearing (almost 30h in, and it's not even a huge map!) my first victory in Endless Space 2 and I think I got around most of the mechanics in the game. Was struggling quite a bit, especially with Approval. But getting those Pacifist party laws, especially the one that gives bonuses for each ally, resolved the issue so that even with overpopulation, 5+ systems over threshold and "Mutinous" status in some of them (fresh after conquering and occupation) I still have an overall Ecstatic level of Approval . Slow fleets? Buy Coordinators, spam fleet movement speed modules on them and add them to fleets. I'm ofc not saying I'm good at this game, probably neglecting some possible buffs/strategies because I don't know/grasp them, but I think I'm doing fine nevertheless.
Now I have an Empire that's in an alliance of three, squashed and enemy alliance, plus quite a solid income that enables me to spam new ships in one turn.
So here are things I don't like in the game if someones interested (keep in mind I'm playing on normal, so the issues might not be as apparent on higher difficulty levels)
- Behemoths are OP so far. Struggling with enemy fleets? Build a military Behemoth and decimate them. It's not that I dislike them, and those are optional if I recall, but it's hard "not to use them" if the option is there
- Diplomacy is almost unneeded. The only few positives that I get from it is that I have less flying around the galaxy (Alliance, so don't need to attack every faction), occasional resource requests cus it's hard to get some of them (yet it's also hard to get anything from your allies, I think only diplomatic pressure does at least something), and that I can dump unneeded systems as a gift (I prefer this over razing). Literally everything else is not worth it or a mess, like overwhelmed opponent AI nearing it's death which asks for a truce while demanding zounds of stuff from me
- at some point your getting clogged with the number of technology choices, and most of them don't even matter late game (like the +food production chains). Too much technologies imo, even though I like the flavor behind some of them, flavor-wise Amplitude as always does a great job
- fleets literally passess through each other because of the system to system "corridor" movement (hate the fact you can't turn around a fleet once it's inside). If your hunting a renegade fleet it's hard to pin it down. Maybe I'm missing something here, like a way to block their movement?
- Hacking system is cumbersome and boring, but it might be because I generally ignore Espionage in strategy games. As an idea it's pretty cool
Overall it's an 8/10 game imo, I like Endless Legend more for its smaller scale and less-complicated managment. Nevertheless I very much recommend ES2, I think it's one of the best games in the genre.

How would you rate Civ VI with its two major exp vs. Civ V with its two own expansions? Is it a worthy successor, something that much better or more of the same? I'm asking cus I already have Civ 5 GotY.
Civilization is one of those games I'm always interested in, yet I don't find time to play it. I might still pick up VI at some point though...

To me, base Civ VI was comparable to CV complete. With its two expansions, it completely eclipses V and I don't think I will ever pick it up again (even though I only have to beat it with Mongolia to have won with every civ). That said, I would rate both games with expansions a 9. They both have their flaws but it is my favorite video game series now and greatly enjoy my time spent with it.
If I were you, I think I would watch some videos to see if you like the changes between the two games. It may also be better to wait for a deluxe/complete edition of Civ VI at a discounted rate if you are the fence about it.
Oddly enough, I never actually purchased Civ V in the first place. It came free with my copy of XCOM years ago. I just happened to come across it one day and loved it since the start.

I've checked Civ 6 full packages current price. Oh boy. It's true they like to evaluate their products highly Thanks for the input OmegaDestroyer, I think if I'll get the Civ itch again, I'll simply reinstall my Civ V GotY edition.
For now I'm all for Endless games. You know you're deep in a title when you think about those games and strategies you will apply in them on a daily basis I even registered on their Games2Gether platform and started to vote on next DLC's content
(Btw we can only dream of the level of support and responsiveness Amplitude gives to it's community comparing to Heroes games and Ubi, and I mean even in its "prime" when Conflux was still a thing)

Every civ game is genius yet there are a few flaws in each prohibiting me to complete a game. I would have picked Civ3 as the best, if only there wasn't this totally idiotic battle interface where the doom stack displays only as a vertical list and after 100 units or so, it stops scrolling. Good luck having epic battles with that, no way for me.
Civ4 smartly solved this problem, now stacks display horizontally and not as list, but as multiple rows icons, so is easy to pick the unit to fight with. Yet same idiotic "snow the player" approach, when one unit promotes, no way to distinguish it from the stack so have to click on everyone to find which promoted. Also the biggest flaw is the totally AI rip off during trades, ratio is now 1/10 vs human, so no way to trade above emperor level. Then, oh boy, how to turn off cities growth in cities list, a thing you have to manage every 5 turns or so? Click on cities list upper left, then click on the half pixel button bottom right. So smart interface...
Civ5 had them all solved, promoted units have now a visible bar so easy to pick. But of course, something idiotic should have been left in, and it is the between turns delay. Large map with 8-10 civs, 5-10 minutes between turns around industrialization. Yet some intelligent designer would have proposed and add an alarm when AI completes turn, so you could alt to desktop and do other tasks, but no. Never completed a game.
As I never was able to play and enjoy 100% any civ game, I gave up on civ6 and didn't buy it.
I am a total nut about playability, if there is a constant thing wasting loads of time, no matter how good is the game, I can't.

For those of you who don't know, Armello had a bit of an overhaul recently (ver. 2.0) that changed the UI of main menu and added some neat features like hero progress and load-outs. I was hoping for something bigger (story campaign?) based on how enthusiastically devs have been teasing the update, but it's enough to get me back into it.
If you look past the "funny animals/furries" aesthetic it's actually an atmospheric and polished (5 years in the making) board game/tbs that's ideal for some quick sessions of gameplay.
PS: It's off 75% on Steam atm.

I actually bought Civ6 Gold Edition on Steam during Lunar sale for less than 40€, that's with Rise and Fall expansion but not the latest one. Been clocking around 70 hours on it and I have to agree with Omega here, it really is a lot better than Civ5. The district system, combat and unit interactions, eurekas, emergency events, civics and governors are huge improvements to me. The biggest issue I came across though is Great People not being capturable, they simply teleport back to the nearest city. The hell? Also National Parks' diamond shape being mandatory vertical, it really throws a wrench into city planning.
Otherwise, I am getting destroyed by Deity with Japan on every possible metric. Religion, culture, science, military, wonders, great people, everything. However, I'm hanging on and starting to recuperate due to sheer expansion potential, diplomatic/military wit and tons of loads. It's actually super fun and I am a bit sad I couldn't play it with Gathering Storm, but I just couldn't afford it.
That said, Civ5 with Vox Populi which I have played recently would probably win on amount of content, that's probably the most complete iteration of Civ that I've ever got to play. I can't go back now though, I'm certain Civ6

Finished Persona 5 and am starting a new game plus
I Cannot recommend this game enough! If an interesting rpg game that combines elements from final fantasy and pokemon sounds good to you, and if you've always wondered what life as a Japanese high school student was all about then do yourself a favor and play this game! I never knew how badly I wanted this game until I played it lol. My roommate bought it, played ten hours of it, then moved on because he can't commit to anything
For real though, this game is such a masterpiece. Even when the gamplay drags a little or gets too grindy, the music in this game is so captivating you will just want to play more. Lots of dialog but the story is really good and the voice acting is on point. Most of the text is voice acted so thats cool. And one of the best parts are these anime cutscenes throughout the game that are really well made! You get attached to these friggin characters im telling you lol
As for the gameplay, half of it is the rpg combat stuff and half of it is like a simulator i guess? When youre doing the sim stuff you have a set amount of time to complete what you can. You can only do a few different things in a given day. You live in Japan and you go to school and you hang out with friends in your free time (who also fight with you) which will make your them stronger when youre doing the combat stuff. All your friends have their own well written stories and backgrounds. The fighting is literally a combination of Final fantasy and pokemon. Elemental weaknesses and a party of 4 with basic rpg stuff.
I'm gonna stop my senseless rant about this game now 10/10

Yes, Persona 5 is a great game. I always wanted to get into Persona games and this was my first try. I remember even wanting to buy a PS Vita for Persona 4. Guess I've picked the right moment to join with P5 No wonder the announcement of Joker in Smash Ultimate was met with such enthusiasm by the community.
Basically you said all that I would say Green_Drag. I also want to add that the game is super accessible: the battle system is traditional turn-based (I love it, it's the purest form of RPG battle systems), easy to get into but with depth. And stylish. Plus the flow is just right, random encounters never take too long. Difficulty is also on point. The quirkiness of enemies and how you "catch them" only makes it better
And that music. A masterpiece that builds a lot of this games atmosphere, it wouldn't be the same without it.
My only real tinsy winsy grips are with the story. I mean it's captivating and well-written, the characters are likable and full of charm. Alas somehow the story, the further it went down, felt a little bit less engaging with each new chapter. I mean the first chapter was pretty dramatic and really "mundane" (we read about these stories every day), but later ones become less engaging and a bit superficial, even thought they still feel pretty relatable (the game puts a huge emphasis on personal relations and grown-ups abusing minors). It feels like the authors put all their best in the first few chapters. But that is ofc my personal opinion.
All that is irrelevant to rest of the games awesomeness. Heck, you can even bang your homeroom teacher
Game is pure gold.

I agree, the story started to drag for me in the middle. That music keeps ya plowing through tho
**SPOILERS***
More specifically when Morgana was starting to second guess staying with the team. Like obviously the cool cartoon cat character isn’t going betray or abandon us. That whole palace was kinda meh. The pyramid one was a kinda lame too. But Once you come full circle with the story and you get to where you were when you start the game, it picked up again for me. When Joker got shot in the head I was honestly shocked! I heard about multiple endings and thought I messed something up and lost the game
Eagerly awaiting joker info for smash. I wonder if his special moves will be using his signature persona (can’t remember its name)

Arsene is his persona. Joker will probably have some attacks like Corrin, I picture it as Arsene's shadow 'enchancing' his attacks. That plus gun attacks for ranged. His ultimate will be All-out-attack ofc. It would be nice if other Persona showed in his attacks, but I suppose it will be more like FF7 stage with Personas appearing as hazards...
