Still Crossout.
one of the best bits of the game, even though it's an MMO, it is genuinely SALT FREE.
not even a russian kid screeching "blyaaaaaaaat" into the mic. It's awesome.
Here's one of the cars I built recently. a "sniper" build with a tank cannon as a main gun and mg as backup.

I really wish roleplay/adventure games had a "This game sucks" option I could click that highlights quest objects with a fusion-powered flashing neon pink/orange/yellow disco ball that generates a light show that can be viewed from outer space, so I don't spend an hour roaming around a citadel because I missed a pale gray lever in the corner of a pale gray room.

You can always watch a walktrough on Youtube if your desperate. That's what I do when I'm stuck. And if there's a problematic part in the game usually more players will have the issue so it's a matter of googling [game name] + [location] + [where is the lever].
Btw because it's Steam sale and I saved some money I'm spending it on some games I've been eying for some time (and still brood over if I should buy more). I've bought Warhammer 40k: Gladius.
It's a nifty little 4X civ style game (but yeah let's be honest, from the 4X genre you mostly have the "conquer" option, there's no diplomacy whatsoever ) where you build tiles and fight stuff on a hex-based grid (the battles are very reminiscent of recent Civ games, one unit occupies one hex and positioning is crucial). The base game starts with Space Marines, Orks, Imperial Guard and Necrons, but you can add Chaos SM, Tyranids and Tau with dlc packs which are my favourite factions so... the game isn't AAA cus it's made by a small studio, but I've heard they are very responsive and earnest.
I've also bought Wildermyth. It's an Early Access game but the price is pretty decent atm. It's actually an interesting take on a TBS RPG - you create heroes, do quests and weave their stories (they get old, have children, you then create parties made from them and their children and continue in the next campaign). Everything is RNG so you can end up with vastly different outcomes or characters (like a Werewolf with mechanical hand or a mage that has wings etc). All this with hand-drawn graphics and pretty straightforward gameplay (although teh customization options are vast).

Can I complain how much I hate Uplay?
Bought Anno 1800, had to install UPLAY, answer to trillion of questions, enter my email and phone number dozens of times, search for half an hour where is the game to download, through the popup adds and "you should also buy this", then finally let my computer downloading the 35 Go for the night.
Coming in the morning, the download stopped at 1 Go because "Uplay detected lack of activity at my computer". Jesus.

I don't remember having such trouble whatsoever but I must say Steam is far superior to any PC gaming platform. Tried Uplay, Origin, Epic Games (which at this point is still a joke) but nothing comes even close to its UI.

I know Steam. All those platforms are sh!t, good ole times when you could buy a game then play at the minute you want, not having to connect, sometimes wait for downloading "updates", enter security codes every 2 months the specify if your sister is still a virgin.

It's their push for fidelity, everyone wants a platform so they can keep customers. Steam hasn't disappointed me once in all these years, save for the fact that my wishlist's bugged (wrong number of games). I used Origin for SimCity 4 only, stupid DRM policies, never used it after that. Uplay is my second platform, mostly because of the Might & Magic games, although there's others like Anno, so I'm willing to "cope" with it. But yea, not even close to Steam.

I thought Mass Effect Andromeda was really good. I don't understand why it reviewed more poorly than the previous Mass Effects. I think lots of people were just butthurt because there were no more adventures with Shepherd.
Romping on new alien worlds was barrels of fun and there was some great work by the graphic artists. I loved exploring Elaaden the most:

Grabbed Pillars of Eternity I & II on sale, so a lot of quality time before me. Let's see if traditional isometric RPG's still have it in them.
I also grabbed Gloomhaven digital. The game is seemingly the #1 board game in many people's opinions so I naturally wanted to try it. It looked like a drag to unbox-and-play though with all the rules and components. Plus it's pricey. So digital version looked like an ideal alternative especially cus people wrote it's very faithfull to the original expierience. It's Early Access so it's still far from being completed, but decided to give it a go nevertheless. I will need to give it some more time because so far I feel like the system is a bit unintuitive. It doesn't strike me as something ingenious yet, but heard it has great strategic depth and the game strongest point is it's highly customizable nature. We'll see.

I got bored at the arctic planet. There’s just no depth to the gameplay. It was rinse and repeat. The AI absolutely sucks and it’s just missing that feeling of urgency and drive compared to the earlier ones where you’re clearly driven for a goal. This one is more like jolly along and see if you care about anything.
I guess it’s kind of like playing sim city?
They didn’t market it right I don’t think. Totally wrong target audience. Mass Effects were action RPGs with a strong storyline. This is more of a sandbox exploration game in the vein of Elder scroll except elder scrolls are better.

That was something I disliked about ME3. Super AI is invading the galaxy and the game spams you to death with sidequests. Andromeda felt more chill although the Kett are kind of underdeveloped.

Far Cry 4. Riding around on elephants, pissing rhinos off and using their rage to target enemies, baiting bears and wolves and tigers and honey badgers to attack enemy camps, stealth-killing with a bow and throwing knives, using the enemies' own mortars against them and going full ham with a machinegun... Not to mention, your personal gyrocopter and wingsuit. This game is the dog's bollocks.
The only thing i miss from FarCry 3 is Vaas, the sharks, and going through a spiritual jouney while boinking the hottest jungle queen ever.

I don't know what this digital version is, but me and my friends have been playing it Tabletop Simulator for several months now. There is a great mod that automates pretty much everything.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/780290/Gloomhaven/. Keep in mind it's in early access so it will probably need another year or so to be fully playable. But they plan to add co-op multiplayer. So far I don't see what the hype is about, but it's probably becasue I am not that big of a fan of dungeon crawler board games. I am more of an area control guy.
Sigh, so many promos on Steam so I bought Shadow Tactics, and it's a blast. Desperados, but in feudal Japan

I played an Asian main character and it did the same thing to me
When you start the game, you have to alter the appearance of your twin or it will stay on the default. If you just started the game, you can eventually alter appearances in your ship's med bay.

When I had at mother's. I played laser defense. What Adrius mentioned here. I developed at 120 level between 160 level. But at mother's I'm godlike. I found solution. Only blue and black laser to three square box. And you update them forever. Easy!
Now I'm home. Of course I play heroes.

Thanks for the link, but I see no reason to use it. Tabletop Simulator gives me all I need for Gloomhaven. We all enjoy it, although I probably would tire of it quickly if I tried playing alone. It requires a lot of tactical thinking and the characters all play differently enough so that the game doesn't become stale.
Shadows Tactics was great. Absolutely loved it. The same developers recently released Desperados 3 and I'm planning to get to it sometime.
