I am playing The Chaos Conspiracy, a mod for Might and Magic VI. Mostly a complete revamp of the game, with much increased difficulty. I am middle game and already level 160, so it promises.

I've been playing Tekken 5 recently... fun game! I love Asuka's haircut. However some chars are broken. Steve, Nina, Bryan... duh. I read that this was the reason they released Tekken 5.1.

I'm looking forward to Tekken 6 PSP version on PSVita. Too bad I can't even dream of affording PSvita ATM

On the other hand, FFVII, FFVIII, FFX HD remaster, Symphony of the night, MGS 3 HD and Tekken 6 on one handheld seems like my childhood dream

Playing some Shogun 2, some LoL here and there, and tried my hand at Mortal kombat, fav was scorpion and sub-zero, but I sucked with them, then I learned all of smokes abilities (and perfectly doing enhanced versions) and he's just so easy to play. (though somewhat cheap)

Since I can't update/run Steam for some reason, I'm playing some of my older, non-Steam games.

Currently playing:
-Zelda: Twilight Princess (began January)
-Titan Quest (started new game; never finished)
-Gothic (I love that glitch that negates fall damage as long as you sidestep)

Fun fact: All of these games have magic, wolves and day/night cycles in them

I should buy it for PC. I have it for PS2. from what I remember, it is better than human revolution. (though they should still make a remake) games that long, I rarely bother to complete more than once, and I completed deus ex almost 5 times, including a non-lethal run on highest difficulty.

I'm also playing a 2nd run on human revolution, and despite playing more lethally than the 1st time, my build begins to feel similar to the 1st time. it seems the main difference is in which order you pick your skills, since by the end of the game, you have enough XP points to brainlessly pick all the best ones.
I remember you could have much more differents build on the 1st one. (I have to try that mod that makes rockets explodes in mid air, though, I always thought a guided emp bomb was too imba to not pick it )

Still playing Dungeons of Dredmor.  After 141 hours, I still haven't beaten it.  Playing permadeath can be a pain, especially when an attack misses, ricochets off a wall, and hits an NPC in the face.  The resulting NPC beat down SUCKED.

Other than that, working on Darksiders II and Mass Effect 3's multiplayer.

I just started the Dungeons of Dredmor, took about 2 hours to completely search the first level, and so far the game's been pretty awesome .

For my first character I chose the following skills: Axes, Crossbows, Shields, Armor, Dodging, Smithing & the Berserker Rage, but I have no idea if I should have picked some magic abilities, since there were quite a lot of choices and many of them looked cool. So far I've survived well, and completed a couple sidequests, but since I haven't ventured any deeper it's obviously quite easy

If someone hasn't tried the game, go get it now, since it isn't exactly expensive or anything, and is a lot of fun, + the music & graphics are epic!

You don't need magic and I often don't play with it.  Mages are squishy in the game but do have some awesome powers.  The last skill in Necroecnomics opens a rift on monsters which does crazy damage.  Unfortunately, Necroeconomics comes with a price other than mana and it can really hurt you if you are not speced for Necro resistance.

If you do ever go with a mage, I advise taking Ley Wakler or Blood Magic to get mana.  You also might want to consider Rogue Alchemist if you take Alchemy.  The alchemical toxic canister attack of the Rogue Alchemist line is very effective at clearing out monster zoos.  Just be forewarned: the attack can ricochet.  That's how I died with my last character.  I threw a canister at a monster, it ricocheted right into the shop keeper's face and he summoned his demon army to wipe me out.  It was not pretty.

My current build is Polearms, Crossbows, Perception, Smithing, Clockwork Knight, Tinkering, and Battle Geology.

I do not have great crit, counter, or dodge values, but I can put out a lot of pain and take a beating.  Polearms are very strong.  Crossbows and Tinkering pair very well.  Perception is great for avoiding traps and finding loot.  Smithing is a great all-around choice for melee.  Steam Knight enhances both Smithing and Tinkering.  Battle Geology is just a fun skill to use.

Thanks for the tips, I have yet to study the skills, find out what they actually do and which ones might help me (the in-game infos and descriptions aren't always the "best" ).

Shall I download the free DLC for the game yet, or play the vanilla game a bit more? I doubt it'll hurt to get it. If I like the game and end up spending dozens of hours playing it, which will quite possibly happen, I might get the 2 other DLCs as well (if they are worth it?).

The crossbow seems to be quite a good choice indeed, but so far the Rage hasn't been that useful (perhaps when there'll be more mobs at once, it'll show it's power). Smithing is a pretty good choice as well, I always seem to go for that in any game it's possible. The smithing interface was quite messy at first, but it isn't complex at all actually. (IMO there should have been a tutorial for that as well)

Get all the DLC.  The free one is a given and the other two add a lot of fun skills to the game.  I advise you to check out the wiki to learn more about the skills.

Also, if you get Conquest of the Wizardlands, be cautious about encrusting your gear.  It can backfire.  Then again, you could end up with an awesome spear that explodes, poisons, and curses on a hit.  Who needs to worry about enemy dodge skill when you curse them every hit with an "instant hit" curse?

I think I've spent maybe $15 on the game and have over 140 hours in it.  That's a Hell of a lot more time than I will spend on most 60 dollar games.  The only games I can think of off hand that I have spent more time on recently have been Heroes 6 (146), Blood Bowl (200+), and TF2 (682!... that's really pathetic in hindsight and I haven't played it in 2 years...).

@Gnoll

Be very, very careful not to injure Brax or steal an item.  I just tore through 591 Dred Collectors and that SUCKED.  They spawn constantly until they you are dead.  Once you are strong enough to avoid their damage, you are stuck drudging through them for the current level you are on.

Yeah I was pretty confused the first time I came across them, since the description said "This creature is trying to kill you", and almost shot at him . You get surprisingly lot of money for selling all your crap to them.

I got 412 hours on TF2, and a bit past 100 hours on H5: TotE (mostly hot-seat, which is really fun), and also 104 hours on Realm of the Mad God, which I actually haven't played for about 6 months (the game can be VERY annoying, losing all your skills and items).. For not even one of those games have I spent more than 10€, and have played them a lot more than, for an example, Skyrim.
