I'm wondering the same thing, why and why must they have that green radiation about them?
they are dead they should be black, grey and white. A dark non-colored theme would fit so much better.

when I think of undead I ceartainly don't think green. I mean c'mon, was there really so much green on the creatures in h3 or h4? well ok they gave most undead creatures in h5 a green tint but that was just fine. I'm not sayin that green doesn't fit the forces of undead at all, but do they really need to glow like some tiberium fed mutants? And on the side note, i would only count the skeleton and the manticore as undead. Why? becouse they don't look like fresh out of the can .

The concept of the Ashan undead is not the same as the concept of the Enrothian/Axeothian undead and they can not be compared. While I don't find the idea of throwing green here and there to turn the basic corpse-thing into greater corpse-thing incredibly creative, it is at least linked to the lore. And just because this is a faction of Necromancers doesn't mean that everything has to be dead, gnawed, rotten and generally undead in the classical sense.

Actually when I think about the necropolis of Ashan I think of the necromancers and undead of Dark Messiah. In that game you come face to face with them so know pretty well how they look , and there they are very colorless in a way I like.
They only have grey colors and they have this kind neutral and cold feel about them. The only color there which I can associate with them would be purple because of some of their windows . But this is just something I base my preferences on.
Edit: I'm simply saying the necromancers of Ashan are like buddhists, they live simple lives. Why would they bother "dressing" themselves with colors?

Is it a bad thing that they are departing from normal undead conventions? I like the green-black look, it's interesting and a nice change from GRIM DARKNESS all-black traditional necromancers.

I guess not, but it is all a matter of personal opinion of course. The thing that bothers me though it that the "normal undead convention" rarely is GRIM DARKNESS. To clarify I don't want them to be extremists of darkness, just less cluttery and more "pure" I guess. I mean take warcraft for example, the undead there is far from being just "normal", they have colors such as purple and blue and they have a lot shadow and fog of frost, so much unnecessary stuff.
I think I'm trying to say that I like the undead better in Dark Messiah where is more "stylish" and "clean"(hmm that doesn't sound right huh? )
anyways I'm not that much bothered by all the green, just a little

What do you think about the 6th level of Inferno? I think that it might be the EFREET since so far Inferno doesn't have a single flyer.

I guess it would be ok, but I much more prefer the original devil as a flier(teleporter) then an Efreet. Or that they have this as a flier

Is it bad that they went from green to pink in TOTE?
Seriously,H3 necropolis was the best regarding colours(except the ghost dragon).Green tiberium necros are bland and boring.

The secondary upgrades of Necromancers in HOMM5 weren't PINK, they were purple!
But this green theme does annoy me some. Green is the colour of youth, vigor, health and natualness. A more poisonous green like the colour half-way between green and yellow would be better, olive, the colour of sickness. Needless to say, I have been losing sleep over it.

An Efreet would be awesome, as long as it actually looks like a fiery floating person and not the silly giant hands no head Genies of H5.

As many others have brought up in their lineups. YES! I woul really like to see Werewolves as a tier unit between 3-6 or as a neutral unit.
Their looks should be something aka the ones in the film Van Helsing, they were spot on.
The wolfman look could do as well. And they should NOT be classified as undead, but more of a raging, savage, natural creature. Aligned with either barbarian or elven/forest factions.
Seriously, the lack of lycanthropes/werewolves in the HOMM (and MM games for that matter) series is shockingly absent and not in a good way.
So far, as I remember only M&M 6 (or was it 7?) and WoG which had werewolves.
Glad to see wolves in most of the HOMM games though as they along with werewolves are my favorite creatures in most games.
Im not expecting Werwolves to appear in HOMM 6 at ALL, but they would surely be a welcomed unit from my side as long as they are close to my preferences listed above.
EDIT:
Wow, new tier system? Im not sure on how that would be like, regarding unit strenght and pitting to many different creatures at a same tier group. Oh well, heres my little proposal besides the towns alredy confired. * Mark for logical choice regarding the lineups in H5
Stronghold
Tier I: Goblin*, Harpy, Centaur*
Tier II: Ogre, Shaman*, Orc*
Tier III: Behemoth / Cyclops*
Sylvan
Tier I: Dryad*, Halfling, Hunter*
Tier II: Druid*, Unicorn*, Werewolf
Tier III: Green Dragon* / Phoenix (*H5 neutral)

Right, the last inferno creature is out, AND IS AWESOME BEYOND BELIEF.
A grotesque bloated mass of demonic flesh and tentacles that spawns little flying imps to attack.
9/10 for originality.
9/10 for the art.
9/10 for an excellent filler for the last slot.
Looks like Inferno is staying close to my list of top factions, if it isn't the top.
Applause Ubihole.
This is a creature that isn't afraid to push the envelope on making Demons more demonic and less familiar.
